Hotel Avenida Benidorm

Great location of the hotel close to the beach and sites of Benidorm. 40 minutes away from a lovely Hike!

Food is buffet and delicious! Different choices daily. Pretty good temperature in December warmer than Britain for some good heat.

Can recommend if going to Benidorm of the food and location!

I can honestly say that this hotel and its staff totally deserve the 5 stars,
My wife and I have been there several times and absolutely love the place.
The hotel is well sited close to the beach front and to the shops in Old town, its also close to the night life in the area which we take advantage of most nights during our stays there.
The facilities within the hotel are fantastic and the roof pool area is great as well with a great view of the town and beach front.
The staff have always been great and very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are great and vary according to what you pay for meaning a balcony or not and are fully serviced.
The entertainment in the evenings is great and we found afterwards we used to venture out to clubs and our Favourite Karaoke bar "Timeless " very close to the hotel.

We are going back there in April 2024 and can't wait.

Love the hotel, rooms fine and kept clean and tidy by the room attendants, breakfast and lunch buffet style with plenty of choice, I did get caught out 1st dinner as I didn't realise ALL drinks are paid for upon leaving the restaurant...at breakfast all is inclusive. Also had a problem with the safe, I kept following the in house instructions to the letter but to no avail, the room attendant couldn't understand it either, so after a visit to reception I was informed I have to pay to activate it.....could have told me this when checking in...but other than these two minor issues I would definitely stay here again in the heart of the old town and its surrounding charm...the staff throughout were excellent and very friendly...Great hotel.

A lovely old-fashioned hotel centrally located for all bars and restaurants.
One beach two minutes from the front door.
The only downside for us was one of the reception staff was very aggressive. He was reported to the head office.

A group trip with many hotel locations throughout Benidorm, where we had group time & individual time.
The Avenida Hotel, situated in Old Benidorm, is deceivingly spacious. I loved the rooftop pool, jacuzzi & terraces, which are quite a sun trap, with a small bar/snack bar close at hand.
The staff were most helpful, pleasant & everyone smiled. I definitely want to return as my stay wasn’t long enough & I didn’t utilise a lot of the hotel amenities.

Just back from 9 night break.
No complaints, the hotel is clean, rooms cleaned and towels changed everyday.
The restaurant had a fair selection of food for every meal and lots of nice dishes. Bar staff super friendly. I have no complaints and would definitely stay again. Also 1 minute from beach 😁

Stayed first week of December 2023 Full Board Plus with Jet2. Excellent hotel. Great staff, decent food, lovely clean rooms and nicely situated in the old town.

Already booked again for February 2024.

Thanks for a great stay too all the staff at the Avenida Hotel.

This hotel is certainly a gem. We went all inclusive. The food is lovely, the service is great and the location is wonderful. The hotel staff were all polite, competent and smiling. The rooms, cleaned daily, are not quite spotless (the lamp shades needed dusting at the bottom edge) that didn't bother us. However the pillows, which were lumpy, did. My bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ideal base as in centre, hotel is lovely and Immaculate. Great range of breakfasts in a buffet style.

Very nice hotel. Clean, very nice staff from reception to waiters. The food is fresh and hot. Location is very good and very quiet.

The food is outstanding! Staying all-inclusive we had a really good choice to eat and the quality was excellent. The helpful service from all staff there was wonderful. The bar has a huge selection of brand-name drinks too. Everywhere is very clean, including all public areas and the rooms.
The hotel is a little dated inside and the 2 lifts are small but the good points far outweigh any negative. Our room had a view into an internal space but the bathroom was huge with great facilities. The hotel itself is in the pedestrianised area of the "old town" so next to hundreds of shops & restaurants, and about 3 minutes walk from the beach. This does mean you have walk a little distance from any coach drop-off points but there is a taxi rank not far.
We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to holiday here again.

Great holiday, as always. Lovely, friendly hotel in a perfect location for the old Town and the beach. The restaurant is very good, food always varied and tasty! All the staff are very welcoming and friendly, especially Eusabio in the bar. Hoping to come back in October, thanks for a great holiday.

Great hotel in fantastic central location, good for shopping, near lots of restaurants, bars and the beach.

Me and my daughter has checked in since Friday. Wonderful service, food excellent, location perfect. Just 1 minute walk from the beach and located near shops. People are friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The location of this hotel is perfect for us. 2 minutes from the beach. 1 minute from shops, bars and cafés on the edge of the old town, but really close to the new town.
Rooms were clean and cleaned daily (including fresh towels). Staff very helpful and polite.

One point to note, this is mainly for Spanish residents and thus is catered for that way. There are sausage, bacon and eggs available at breakfast, just not English ones. If you are a fussy eater, there is an English cafe 4 mins walk away.

All in all a great place to stay!

Have just checked out of the hotel after a week stay and were overall very happy.

A few comments…

Positive:
- Hotel is in a perfect location!
- The entire hotel was very clean and the ladies cleaning the rooms each day worked very hard.
- We received fresh towels each day which was lovely.
- The hotel has areas to recycle which we appreciated and used.
- The view from the roof was brilliant.
- We had a few issues with the room but once we informed reception these problems were sorted out very quickly.
- The restaurant staff were the best. They were extremely hard working and very kind.

A few things that could be improved:
- I’m vegan and I struggled a lot with the food. On the first day I asked the chef what vegetarian/vegan options there were and I was pointed towards the fish dishes, I tried asking again but there was a language barrier between us and so I gave up.
I asked at one point if the pasta had egg in it to which one staff member told me it did and another told me it didn’t.
I ended up having to guess each day what I could eat which I wasn’t very comfortable with but I didn’t feel like I could continue asking.
I was delighted however to see a huge range of plant-based milks at breakfast each day! Absolutely brilliant selection.
- The restaurant staff seemed to be under a lot of pressure at times and could definitely have done with some extra hands. There were several times where we didn’t have any drinks after 15-30mins of being seated but this was due to there simply not being enough staff members as the ones there were working very hard.
- The lifts were a bit of a nightmare. We had a our baby in a pram and were sometimes left waiting 5-10mins to get a lift. The lifts themselves are very small and most of the time my husband took the stairs while I squeezed in the lift with the pram.

One thing we did not realise when booking was that this is a hotel that mainly older people stay in - we are in our 20’s and so this took a few days to get used to as we were stared at a lot by the other guests. This is through no fault of the hotel, but just something to be aware of as it definitely made us feel very uncomfortable at times - I would look up from my meal to see several older guests watching us as if we were the entertainment!

Overall we definitely would stay here again due to the location, cleanliness and the kindness of the restaurant staff but we would pick the summer time to stay in hopes of there being more families with children.

Nice & central for visits to the "Old Town". Rooms comfortable & clean. Food varied & nice.
