Undoubtedly, this is one of the most beautiful spots in the Montserrat mountains. You can get there hiking from either the base of the mountain, the abbey or from the cable car upper station. Whatever option you choose, don’t miss this place! The views are absolutely mind blowing!

If you visit Barcelona and suddenly want to get out from busy city for a day for nice walk this is the place to go. It is easy trail and you don’t need special equipment. The views during the walk and on very top are imaging. Depends on time The trail could be pretty crowded as for hiking trail but it is still worth to go.

Incredible views from the summit! It was my first proper hike ever, while the many steps in the beginning were exhausting, the view totally was worth the sweat and motivated me to pursue more hiking in the future. Be sure to bring water and a jacket if you are going up, it gets windy at the summit!

It's worthy all the hard way to arrive here. There are few routes; one easy then other. Still, all the way there from the Monastery or the funicular is a fantastic path with great views; the best is to reach the top, of course. With stunning views of 360° of the valley. Watch out for windy days and warm days. And plan ahead from where to start and end, as it can take about 3 hour trail walk

Sant Jeroni is the highest point of the Montserrat. Not the greatest mountain or hike but there is interesting landforms and rockscape! About getting there, I think people should take this trail entrance: after exiting the basilica, walk straight. It’s 30-60min of steep stairs then nice shady forested area. One should be able to reach the top in 2hrs?

For the easiest option, take the funicular to Sant Joan and hike from there. Its easier with a gentle slope. Hiking from Sant Joan is not recommended for younger and fitter crowd. I am glad that I didn’t start there. When coming down from Sant Jeroni, you can down via the Sant Joan path. Skip the funicular again, and go to Montserrat station, otw you will pass by Sant Miguel. It’s really nice there as well!

Nice hike to the peak. You can get the train halfway or hike the full way if you like. It's quite well paved and signed. Not overly challenging but the last bit is quite steep and if your doing the full hike there will be a lot of stairs to climb

Absolutely fantastic place! Well worth the climb! Partially a bit rough path so be sure to have shoes and water.

Amazing view. Definitely worth the steps. Took me (Not the most athletic person) 1 hour and 50 minutes to go up and 3 hours overall

It can get very windy but the view is nice. Depending on where you do start and how fast you walk up, it can't take from 2-4 hrs from Ermita de Santa Cecilia or 1.5-2.5 hrs from the Monastery. There are other ways up like the Via ferrata La Teresina or many more connecting from the southern faces. It can be very easy walk from the Monastery, however, the first 300 mts of elevation gaining are basically steps... And the very last ones, keep that in mind if your condition is not the best

All the effort you make when hiking to the top is priceless in comparison with the magnificent view you have when you get to the top. It's a good place to exercise.

Great place to visit around Barcelona. Apart from the monastery the area of Monserrat offers this incredible hiking destiny with incredible views of the mountains rocks and, upon arrival, the nice landscape of that Catalonian area. It is not difficult to reach but better get prepared with water and some food, a good pair of shoes would help.

I was not ready for this level of exertion, but I'm glad I forced myself to keep going. Take your time if you're not used to hiking at high elevation. Make sure you bring enough water.
