I was truly captivated by the picturesque views and pristine landscape that surrounded me.

The weather could not have been more perfect - no wind, no rain, just clear skies and a gentle breeze. It was an ideal setting for a day of exploration and appreciation of nature's beauty.

Although I was unable to walk the paths due to being on a tour, I am already planning my return to fully immerse myself in the tranquil setting and explore the various pathways that promise even more breathtaking sights.

One of the highlights of the visit was discovering the rich history that resides within this place. It added a layer of depth to the experience, making it all the more meaningful.

Despite the few stairs leading to the cathedral, the effort was well worth it, and I found the cleanliness of the public washrooms to be a pleasant surprise.

What struck me the most was the tranquility of the surroundings - with not many people around, I was able to fully appreciate and enjoy the serenity of the location.

I look forward to returning to [Destination] and spending more time there, soaking in the beauty of the landscape and delving deeper into its history.

Fantastic landscape. Many easy paths with concrete stairs. Lots of climbing as well. In January you can have sunny days and no overcrowding, especially in the morning and later afternoon.

Its a beautiful spot full with history and stories. You can easily spend half day here. There is an advance booking required to access the aisle in the church with has a ticket too.

Stunning views and location close to the Montserrat Abbey located at the top. You’ll need to get the second chainlink train going up from the top of Monserrat to the very top. It’s 8€ each way for an adult and children go free. I don’t think you can book in advance as it’s a regular train service. There is not much up there apart from the walk to get to the cross and see the stunning views. Don’t go if you are scared of heights.

Beautiful place and view points

7 Euros for entry with car. Parking on road side available.

It's a bit steep so people with baby trolleys or wheelchair park closer to the restaurant. Great vantage point and view

A must go if you're in Barcelona! The views are beath taking and spectacular! We took a train from Espanya station then a cable car ride to the mountain. We attended a performance by the boys choir in the basilica, and took a funicular ride up to the top and hiked a bit.

We went up montserrat via a private tour..
A very beautiful place, would have loved to spend more time there. There was a bazaar as well, locals selling cheese and honey... and more.
:) #recommend to spend a good 4 to 5 hrs there.

What an extraordinary location. The Abbey is truly amazing and the views are exceptional. This is a place you certainly do not want to miss. The drive from Barcelona is about an hour. Pack some warm clothes as it is pretty high in altitude.

This place is awesome, just an hour or so out of barcelona. The tram was awesome and the church is incredible...the little village that encompasses it is fun, with stores and food...

Great place to visit. The story of this place is just fantastic. I won't spoil it for you, just visit. Be sure to make an advanced reservation to see the Black Madonna. Oh, I highly recommend the beer cheese.

The nature here is stunning! There are the the mountains on the one hand and the monastery of Monserat on the other hand. From the monastery you have a far and very nice view into the deep canyons. On your route to the monastery, you find a lot of smaller villages or ruins where you can have break and enjoy the view!

The vista is astounding. If you have a keen eye and the luck for clear weather, you can even see Tibidabo in the distance. Needless to say, this is a place to visit. If you have a trip in Barcelona/Andorra or their surroundings, you should definitely come here. Rumour has it that one becomes a true Catalan only if they climb up the whole road to Montserrat! I took the train as a mere foreigner.
