Let’s start with the service. Super English friendly and incredibly homely service. The way they welcome you also makes you feel good. Make a reservation. Had the fisherman’s soup and the ‘Our famous cod fish’. Both were incredibly good. They also do the grilled fish for 2 and you can choose from Turbot, Bass, Hake. They were served on the table next to us and looked incredibly good. The clams are also something they are famous for. Also veggie friendly. They will try to make something vegetarian even if there isn’t much on the menu. :) all in all a good experience.

Absolutely amazing food, delicious anchovies and scallops, tuna tomato salad was a delight and the dessert perfect! Wonderful service as well, although the restaurant was full for lunch.

Definitely worth a stop

Fish and clams were so delicious. Staff was great, chatted with the man working the grill who had perfect English (he had attended school in the US). One of our more expensive meals in the area, but everything was well executed, so we felt worth it! Enjoy!

Amazing meal - great views, friendly and professional service, relaxed, cozy, and above all very good food. Our fish 'a la parrilla' (charcoal grilled on an outdoors coal grill typical in restaurants in Getaria) was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had the besugo to share as a main (I think that is sea bream in english). The starter 'pastel de kabratxo' was a very nice start to the meal (a subtle fish pate, in this case fried in breadcrumbs and served with a parsley pesto and mayo) , and clams 'marinera' were juicy and fresh cooked in a lovely sauce. Good wine list, and well priced, with a range of prices. Not a cheap meal but not over-priced and definitely worth it for quality and whole experience.

I'd recommend everyone to go with the OFF the menu options, super fresh. Service is phenomenal and food just great

The waitresses were charming, helpful and attentive. Could not have had a better service.
The food was incredible from the starters to the main dish (specially the grilled fish!!!).

Great fish restaurant - try the bacalao, perfectly cooked on the barbecue. Great views out to the coast from the terrace

We had such a fantastic experience at Txoko Getaria. The staff were so nice, attentive and made us feel like at home. The food was unbelievable, we had really fresh product and the best sole I’ve ever had in my life. The location of the place was really lovely. Absolutely recommended.

House cod and hake are out of this world

Delicious. We had grilled fish and clams along with an incredible bottle of Txakoli. It's not cheap but the food is great and service very professional.

I have enjoyed Txoko's cuisine on many occasions and have always walked away very pleased with the quality, timing of the meals, attentive service and beautiful sea view. The price for quality ratio is one of the best in Getaria.

Good views to the port of Getaria. Good service. Nice menu of the day with tuna salad, grilled shrimps and the merluza fish.
