Good place to go if you do not have anything to do better. Nothing outstanding. The museum closed on Sunday, August 25th, 2024. Our experience painting the meninas was terrible. It is not worth it. I understood why it closed. The people who worked at the museum are kind, but they can not resolve any issue with the paint. Regular experience 75% recommended it.

One of the best museums I've visited in a long while. Great curation, amazing blend of technology, art, history and sociology. I would very highly recommend it.

I happened upon this place while out walking and so glad I did! It’s so different and fun! I highly recommend sitting through the hologram video more than once. It’s a great look into Velazquez and Las Meninas. I’ve seen some reviews saying it was too expensive but there is a coupon at the front desk to get a discount. I found it well worth it.

While visiting Madrid we saw this museum and decided to give it a try. Being a lover of the painting “Las Meninas” it was a fantastic experience and gave you insight of what the painting is all about. It was truly one of my favorite experiences in Madrid.

This was a fun thing to do in the middle of the city. Each room has it’s own unique thing to learn about the painter Velazquez and his art’s connection to the world in present day. It’s a vibe.

Although we weren't planning on visiting any space on the respective street, the entrance to the museum caught our attention. And thanksfully so! The staff were extremely friendly and the museum extremely interesting, both for its immersive aspect and for its historical and reflective content. Audio guides were offered, as well as a final photograph. Congratulations on the service!

We used our Abono teatro discount entrance to visit. At that price it was definitely worth it! Loved the wood smell in the 1st room!

Loved the whole immersive experience. I particularly highlight the video in room 3, I think it was. There we could get to know more about this great painter and what others thought of his Meninas.

The museum is very well designed: interactive and with some curiosity about the painting.
It is suitable especially for families and children but also for curious people :)

We had family fun, it’s quick to visit. We used the family pass for 2 adults and 2 kids. It’s q fun way to expose children to art.

The museum uses all of the theories about Las Meninas and turns them into a high tech experience that relates to us in today's world. From the profound to the mind popping to the just plain fun, you are plopped into the masterpiece. All it might have meant to the artist, what it means to artists now, and it's continued relevance to today are there for you to not simply see, but to experience.
