This restaurant could have so easily been something else - a touristy trip that would capitalize only on its good views and offer mediocre food at exorbitant prices. Yet, that's the opposite of what happened here; it feels like a undiscovered gem in a beautiful neighborhood that still deeply cares about its customers.

Both entrees we tried - the tuna but especially the monkfish - were delicious and prepared perfectly. The dessert sampler was great for trying all their pastries. Wines were good and affordable. And the views, oh the views, are simply to die for.

Decent food with scenic view of Alhambra. Staff is attentive, price is acceptable taking into account the food quality, taste, and location.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere. Unfortunately for having reserved a table outside within a time slot available on The Fork application on their own website was not respected, despite just 24 hours before we had received an email confirming the same.
The young lady at opening quickly showed us to a table inside.
I was left fuming that my wife accepted it, despite my reservation as a surprise to her for our 35th wedding anniversary.
At the end of the dinner, we were able to express our grievances with the manager Javier, who apologised and tried to resolve what should have been a romantic dinner by setting up a table outside in a special place view's for us to enjoy a romantic desert atleast.
Kudos to him.
Recommend a visit to this establishment to enjoy delicious food.

Breathtaking views, mesmerizing. Gorgeous breezy terrace. Lovely atmosphere. Food is good, I would not classify as it as fine dining, but good. I would recommend eggplant appetizer in miso sauce ( more like pieces of eggplant tempura) and oxtail. Friend had sea bass and it was ok too but not as good as oxtail. Appetizer servings are very big and easily shareable if you are also having a main course. Service is a bit on the slow side, but hey you’re there for the view anyway so the longer the better, definitely not a place for quick dinners. Prices are on the high side for Spain, $100 + easily for a 2 course meal with 2 glasses of wine and coffee for 2 people. We enjoyed, and I would recommend definitely. The terrace only has about 6 tables so make sure you have reservations for the outside, but with their glass inside dining hall I’d say inside tables work too.

Wow! Everything from welcoming to dessert was just top notch. Service is really nice, polite and elegant. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the cheeses with the mango jam (so yummy!) to the Moroccan risotto and rabo de toro. We were also brave enough to order the desserts sample…every bit extraordinary, specially the cinnamon cake and cheesecake. And what to say about the view from their lovely interior terrace!! 😍😍😍 judge for yourself but this is a must for a special occasion with breathtaking views of the Alhambra at night

I went here for a wedding. It was a beautiful and wonderful experience. The wedding took place in the bottom patio and the 'reception' took place at the top covered area. We had a 'stand up at high tables' situation where the waiting staff wandered around with serving platters of canapé sized morsels of spectacular food. Even a traditional soup was served in a small cup that was easily manageable. Did I say that the food was spectacular? Let me say it again. The food was spectacular.
The worst thing for me was that it is placed high up the Albaicín hill with many cobbled steps to navigate, so if you are happy to walk, wear comfortable shoes, but if you are getting on in years and carry too many kilos, a taxi is able to take you there with no problem. This is a minor inconvenience however, as the restaurant has an enormous glass wall, allowing a perfect view of the Alhambra. I would say that this is a perfect setting for a romantic evening meal, or for a special occasion, or even just for a great experience.
We wanted to come back to have a proper sit down meal in the restaurant but we had other commitments during our stay. We will return to Granada and we will definitely have a meal here to experience the restaurant setting. All previous reviews were fantastic and I now have no doubts that they were genuine.

Very nice and relaxing lunch, with lovely views, and kind and knowledgeable service. The tomato salad was super refreshing, and ox tail was another highlight. When we said we would share, they went out of their way to split everything for us, too. So it all looked and tasted just as great. Would highly recommend.

Called in later one evening on the off chance of a dessert and some wine. We were offered a fabulous table with amazing views of the Alhambra. Shared the sharing dessert plate between 4 of us with a beautiful bottle of dessert wine. It was sublime! Unfortunately we’re unable to go back - 😢 wonderful service from a young lady and the sommelier. A memorable evening!

Magical place to dine in Granada. It is a perfect place to have a romantic dinner or celebration. The food was amazing. Words can not describe the view you get from the Alhambra. If you want to have an experience of a lifetime with a loved one(s), this is the place to go in Granada.

Very good service, kind staff and very good food.

Not that many options in the menu and a bit on the pricey side of restaurants in Granada, but definitely worth it if you are looking for a great restaurant with views for a special occassion.

I can't rate them but with 5*.

Amazing food with outstanding service. This place is pricy. 3 set course is around 50 euro per head. Must try their beer Alhambra 1925 if I remember right its outstanding. Also don't forget you get a nice view from the garden to Alhambra

One of the best restaurants I made in the last year's! It was one of the top 10 most romantic restaurant in the world by zagat and I understand why!

The view is breath taking. Must be done when sunset

Literally the most amazing meal I’ve had in Spain. A meal at a Carmen in Granada on a sunny day right as the sun is setting on the Alhambra is a truly unforgettable experience. The food here was outstanding! The seasoned tomatoes were excellent. The Iberian pork was phenomenal and THE CHEESECAKE OH MY GOSH. BEST CHEESECAKE OF MY LIFE.

I cannot remember everything we had here but I remember it was all good. We stretched things out sharing two apps and two mains plus desert and a bottle of wine. Food was marvelous. The view was spectacular as we watched the changing light on the Alhambra. We arrived at 8:00 and had a seat against the window. Outdoor dining was closed. April, 2023. This place is small and reservations are a must. You can get a cab to take you there but it can be difficult to get one when you leave. Where sensible shoes assuming you will walk out down some somewhat steep cobbled roads.

A piece of heaven in the Albayzin in Granada. We went for dinner. The food firstly was excellent, not a large menu but very good. Secondly the view of the Alhambra, especially as it got to dusk and the lights came up, was enough to make you armoury at its beauty.

Then lastly the restaurant is in the Albayzin, in 2 Carmen houses, do your experience something of this important Muslim village as well.

Highly recommended.
