I had the best time here.
The view over the pyramids from my room was amazing.
Service - a bit hit and miss but overall positive.
Costs - reasonable
Location - excellent for the pyramids.
As with most of Cairo - excellent shisha!

Enjoyed staying at this location while visiting the Giza Pyramids. The view across the pool to the pyramids was unmatched. The staff was attentive and very hospitable. Thank you for a delightful stay at your beautiful hotel. Wishing you all the very best during these trying times. Thanks for making my stay in Egypt so memorable!

I loved staying here (in 2017) I’m sad to see the venue is closed. I hope it’s temporary. The only challenge I had during my stay was the first night when I was checking in. They lost my reservation and I panicked. It was midnight and I felt very alone and vulnerable in Cairo! Thankfully someone found a record via email correspondence I had with a staff member that verified my claims. After that the stay was lovely. Great breakfast buffet (stay away from the wellness shots they had too much salt), pool area + cafe, shops, etc. I felt very cared after and safe. The rooms were decent but unmemorable at this point. I mostly recall the aesthetics and food being the draw.

Great location, right next to the Pyramids of Giza. We had the view of the Pyramids from our hotel windows. Breakfast buffet was amazing and included in the deal. They have great service. Overall a good hotel. Our family of 3 went there in Dec, 2019. Stayed their for 3 nights. Car parking was provided for a nominal charge. Very large swimming pools in the middle of the hotel.

A great experience, sit back and soak in a bygone era. Wonderful amenities, great staff, a hub of activity. Not so much a destination Resort, more of a staging area as you workout your vacation logistics. Dozens and dozens of tour buses work through the hotel seamlessly, people coming and going, it's a show unto itself! Ever-present security at the hotel, food selections for all tastes and price ranges. Not a flawless hotel but expect to be impressed.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. We have a view of the pyramids from our room. The staff is AMAZING!! Very courteous and friendly. The food and service at the buffet for both breakfast and dinner have been splendid. Top tier chefs with many different food items to choose from. We had a couples massage and relaxed in the sauna and the hot tub and the pool is incredible. Would definitely recommend this hotel and spa to anyone looking to stay in the area. We felt very safe and protected as well.

Excellent views, huge rooms, soft beds, decent breakfast buffet and delicious dinner buffet. Both buffets have a ton of different choices. There are often large crowds in the lobby and restaurants, which is to be expected.

The sauna was also excellent! It contains 3 different pools of varying temperatures, and clean, modern locker rooms.

The service was prompt and pleasant in every aspect.

A bit dated, but incredible service, and excellent customer care. Our air went out, but the hotel took great care of us and got us into another room right away. Breakfast buffet was very good for an Egyptian hotel. Additionally, the view of the pyramids from the room is unbeatable. While you're here, make sure to save time to enjoy the pool.

I loved this hotel! While it's pretty standard looking as far as decor and set up goes, the Pyramid views are unrivaled! It was surreal to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the pyramids at sunset with a glass of wine. The hotel also includes a large breakfast, that has something for everyone. The spa is nice, and there's a free gym which is awesome too. It's definitely the best hotel you'll find for the price, and honestly, probably even nicer than some of the more expensive hotels in the area!

I was a little worried about safety and cleanliness when I booked our room here, but the pictures do not do it justice. The hotel is awesome and the staff is top notch. It will make you feel bad coming inside from the poverty stricken people just outside the hotel to the lavish hotel interior. We had phenomenal pyramid views from our room. The hotel restaurants are very good and the hotel feels very safe. A downside, is that the locals know that "rich foreigners" are staying at the hotel so the taxi's camp outside and will harass you the moment you step foot outside the security checkpoint. It's walking distance to the pyramids walking to the sphinx is also doable.

We checked in pretty late at night, and didn’t have many hitches with the reservation, the staff speaks English very well, and were quick to give us our 2 rooms. We could see the Pyramids out of our windows, which are very close to the hotel. The breakfast is amazing offering many Egyptian and Continental options. We eat some of the Egyptian bread and dips. The rooms were very clean and there were enough towels and blankets. All in all, it is a great hotel close the the Pyramids and Sphinx.

Great location. The pyramids are so close you can see them from Most rooms. We had a private guide so we never walked to the pyramids but they were walking distance. The breakfast in the hotel was very good and so was the room service. The pool bar was okay but the room service was better and for a cheaper price. The gym was also very well equipped. Great overall hotel to stay at while in Cairo.

Staff was lovely, anticipated needs and met them before we asked. Watching the sun come up behind the pyramids was like a dream. The restaurant was delicious. We ate the hummus, mushroom soup and Mediterranean. The Egyptian red wine that was recommended was a delightful pairing.
Thank you to all of the staff.

This is a fabulous hotel, and so close to the pyramids. It is pretty awesome to get up in the morning and look out your window or lay out by the pool and see them. The buffet was excellent, wide variety and delicious. They went above and beyond on service. Wake up calls - you will get 3 whether you want it or not! The rooms were very nicely decorated, beds were very comfortable. No bed bugs! Even though you are in the middle of Giza it is quiet.

This is a very popular wedding facility as well and we were lucky enough to see one. We will stay there again.

- 9/10 Place
- Prices are a little high for 5* hotel but understandably so due to the strategic touristic location of this place.
- Dinner buffet is really good with a host a oriental, western, and Egyptian specialty appetizers, salads, main dishes, and desserts.
- Great location overlooking the pyramids; about 10-15 ride from the pyramids.
- Service is fast and great.

The most important detail I liked is the view from the room of pyramids and swimming pool together! Good service, sometimes too much gentler only for tips.. some staff need to be kindness even without tips. Tips can come after that the guest is satisfied. Prices about trips are too much high! Okay that we are tourist but to pay 20 times more the real costs of a trip is not good. To improve the fresh food and to ask satisfaction about client in during the staying.
5 stars because of the relaxing and pleasure place it is!

Centrally located 5 star property with excellent cooperative staff. Large rooms with nicely built swimming pool. View from hotel a big plus. Ambiance was superb. Buffett breakfast and dinner were very good. Feel good atmosphere. Certainly recommend to all.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The Security was great. They automatically bumped my room to "Pyramid View". Woke up the next morning to see one of the most beautiful views I've seen in my life. The breakfast was good. Pool was awesome. Everyone was welcoming. I would definitely return.

Really good hotel. Yes it doesn't match with the European 5 stars hotel but the service was still very good.
The Meridien is very well located with a view on the pyramids from the pool !
The service is very good and efficient.
The room are big, we slept very well in the bed and the bathroom was clean.
We stayed 3 nights there as part of our tour and we were really satisfied !

Quite accommodating, more of an economical hotel. Being used to the Hilton I didn't enjoy it as much but the service was nice and the servers did their best. The spa was very nice and I really enjoyed the deep tissue massage.
The dinner you could order was very good. I recommend the penne with tomato sauce.
