During my visit to the pyramids in the same location there is the Great Sphinx, only a 5-minutes walk away, It is carved out of rock and next to it there is a building with pharaonic statues. One of these statues is the person who supervised the implementation of the work and next to the Sphinx there are shops that sell souvenirs.I recommend.

First time here, came here with my mother. really amazing. Flew from Singapore/Malaysia. One of Cairo's must-see attractions is the Great Sphinx, the world's oldest monumental sculpture. We enter here via car, save time and can avoid scammer.

I was on an organized tour, so we were guided through a temple that ended at the Sphinx. We had free time to explore on our own. All I can say is MAGNIFICENT. I had never been that close to it or seen the back of it
I saw people going into it. On my next visit, I will get a ticket to go inside. While I was standing in awe of the Sphinx, a man wearing a necklace ID offered to take a picture and asked for my phone. I said, "No, thank you." I was aiming my phone to take a picture when he tried to take the phone out of my hands. It was more like a tug and not a forceful grab. Security was already moving in because he was standing too close to me. I held onto my phone. I want to stress that I did not feel unsafe, I do believe he only wanted to use my phone to take a picture of me. I did not want a photo, and I didn't want to pay a tip. Nothing is free. Please be aware of your surroundings, but know this, I felt safe everywhere I went.

A must see when you are visiting the Pyramids.
It is a short drive away from the Great Pyramid, and a separate entry ticket is needed to walk in to see it up close.
It gets busy and crowded at times, so you may have to be patient to get good photos.
There is a light show of the area sometimes that can be viewed from here. Check online for times and tickets.

I want to warn all citizens who come to see the pyramids.
1⃣ When coming here, make a reservation for 1 night only. Do not believe the distance of hotels to the pyramids. Do not believe the shared landscape pictures. You can easily decide your next nights with a 1-hour taxi trip and map review. (taxi is very cheap)
2⃣ Be sure to download the uber app and make all your trips with uber. It is both affordable and reliable.
3⃣ ❗Never answer people on the street who are constantly trying to sell you individuals.
4⃣ ❗ After entering the pyramids, they first direct you to the sphinx, never comply, they force you to ride camels. Don't pay more than $5.
5⃣ Everyone comes to take photos with you. Be careful, they take 2 photos with your own phone and ask you for $4-5.
6⃣ Before going inside, take 2-3 bottles of cold water.
7⃣ The hotel with the best view around "The great pyramid in". It also has excellent views and cleanliness.
8⃣ If you are a student, the ticket is discounted, but students over the age of 25 cannot benefit from this discount.

After visiting the pyramids we had a short drive, to get to the sphinx. The to let to visit the Giza pyramids complex included the visit to the sphinx. We crossed through an open temple, to get closer to the monument. We didn’t go inside. We were in a group, and that was not an option. We stayed there for maybe an hour. It is something that you have to see with your own eyes. It’s unbelievable even when you are there. I imagined getting closer to it, but we didn’t get that close. It seems that touching is not allowed. It’s a majestic limestone sculpture, even from far away it’s hard to imagine how they were able to make it out of a solid block of stone.

Just like the nearby pyramids, to be able to stand in front of this world famous piece of human history is amazing.

The picture opportunities are plentiful and with the right tour guide, no one bothers you. We went on a Saturday, which was not that busy at all.

The great Sphinx of Giza is is a very unique monument, with the body of a lion and head of a human. Part of the face is broken, but it still looks marvelous with the Pyramid in the background.

This is one of the coolest structures I could have imagined seeing. Learning about Egypt in school and finally getting to see it in person was amazing. Beware there are going to be so so many people there, and especially do NOT give any people with camels your money. These animals are treated poorly. We recommend staying in a hotel near the entrance for stunning views of the pyramids at night and quick access to the park. You will be harassed, but we found it best to politely yet firmly decline hagglers inside the park.

Must visit. The Pyramids of Egypt stand as timeless marvels, enduring symbols of ancient ingenuity and architectural prowess. Built over 4,500 years ago, these colossal structures, including the iconic Great Pyramid of Giza, were constructed as elaborate tombs for pharaohs. Composed of massive limestone and granite blocks, the precision in their alignment remains a testament to the advanced engineering skills of the ancient Egyptians.

The Great Pyramid, in particular, was built for Pharaoh Khufu and held the title of the tallest man-made structure for millennia. Its mathematical precision in alignment with cardinal points and the awe-inspiring symmetry continue to mystify historians and archaeologists. Theories surrounding their construction range from intricate systems of ramps to extraterrestrial involvement, adding an air of mystery to these ancient wonders.

These monuments not only served as burial sites but also reflected the Egyptians' deep spiritual beliefs, with intricate hieroglyphs adorning the walls, depicting the pharaoh's journey to the afterlife. Despite centuries of exploration and study, the Pyramids retain an aura of enigma, captivating the imagination and inviting us to marvel at the brilliance of a civilization that left an indelible mark on human history.

The Sphnix, a head of a human, body of a lion and wings of an eagle. Another great landmark to see in the Giza Complex. We parked on the side of the road next to the Sphnix, it was illegal but we just took care of it the Egyptian way and got to stay. Nice to see and crazy to see this in person.

Bucket list number one did not disappoint. Bring a few extra dollars for the camel ride. If you’re dreaming of coming to see the pyramids and the Sphinx, do it! Don’t let anyone scare you off and say it’s scary or the people are too aggressive. A beautiful culture and lovely people. You can get some of the greatest finds on linens and such from the lovely residents of Egypt. 11/10 would do again.

I know the tour guides used to bring their clients to the side of the Sphinx. I get it because that’s the closest spot you can reach. however IMO, you can get an even better shot if NOT entering the temple, but going to its front. If you do so, you’ll capture both Sphinx and the pyramid! Hope my photos help justify

It's a must while visiting the Great Pyramids. We have all heard about the Sphinx when we were in school - witnessing it now was grand. There were some vendors coming to sell us stuff but we cordially said no. A little difficult to spend time appreciating the structure since there are too many tourists trying to take selfies with the Sphinx and blocking the view. Nonetheless the Sphinx is a historic landmark and it's just top class.

Nice cat! Impressive structure and still looks good! There have been some restorations on the bottom and back side of the Sphinx, but that makes it looks better and keeps it from falling apart.

A statue at the top of the huge and colossal size, and by looking at it you can tell how something beautiful like this was carved, and with this perfection and beauty, something really fabulous. The ancient Egyptian antiquities always have a great and beautiful presence. You will definitely like this place. To the side of where to sit and some green grass to enjoy watching this beauty
