Marriott Mena House, Cairo

We haven't left yet and I already have to write a review. I have rarely felt as comfortable in a hotel as I did at mena house. It is one of the greatest hotels in the world. The service is incredible. Marian takes great care of the guests. The breakfast is excellent and the dinner is a dream. The whole hotel is simply breathtaking. Big praise to the whole F&B and reception team. The room 474 is awesome

Very few experiences last long and my stay at this property would be one of them. Amazing location, absolutely great service and superb food at club lounge and breakfast.
They really take care of their guests and provide the utmost care which is beyond measure.
Not to mention that the property was build during 1850s and it has a marvelous architecture and layout. The suite room and the way they treated me with surprise birthday cake and decoration was also delightful.
Whenever I am visiting Giza, Egypt again. I will be opting them for sure. Loved every minute I spent there.

Spent 1 night here. It’s close to the entrance to the Great Pyramids of Giza. Staffs were wonderful. Got a large and comfortable room with view of the swimming pool. Do try the breakfast buffet for one of the best views of the Pyramids.

Marriott proved its high quality, and we enjoyed every moment spent there. This hotel has two sound advantages: absolutely brilliant location and very hospitable and professional stuff. I would also mention a very good breakfast and nice facilities namely the gym, swimming-pool and spa-center. Special thanks to manager Naira and all the stuff from the reception. They tried their best to make our holidays perfect.

If you want to see the pyramids and spend your time in relaxing and comfortable atmosphere this hotel should be your first choice. Strongly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Mena House. The history of the hotel is fascinating, not to mention its breathtaking grounds. Compared to western standards the rooms are pretty basic and classically styled, but the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in. The only downside is the road noise from the gardens and the balcony, but that’s just Cairo!

Such an amazing hotel. Best location on the plateau, so much history. When you book, not only you get a room but you get a place in history, among all the kings, queens, presidents, artists, athletes and other great people that stayed in this hotel. It is truly a masterpiece.

Beautiful hotel, highly recommend! The view of the pyramids is honestly breathtaking and the staff are so friendly and attentive! They sent up a complimentary cake for my daughter's birthday which made her stay extra special! The buffet breakfast is a must as well! Delicious food and excellent service, especially Amal who was so welcoming! I will definitely be back.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Mena House, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our Egypt Trip, the Mena House was our favorite. There is something special about being able to sit on your balcony and watch the sun set behind the pyramid.

The rooms are well laid out with both couches and tables in the main room. The bathrooms do lack in some storage space given the layouts but they have tried to provide extra spaces with tables. Bedding and pillows are very comfortable.

Where the hotel really shines is the level of service offered by the staff. We felt very taken care of by everyone we interacted with from the club lounge, spa, restaurant and reception.

Do not hesitate to book this hotel.

If you are an American and desire to have a safe and fun time in Egypt then stay at the Mena House. I have had an amazing experience from the time I was picked up at the airport. The customer service, food and staff were exceptional. Do yourself a favor and book now!

I agree with what has already been said about this hotel. At the foot of the pyramids, about a 7 minute stroll up hill, it's safe and set in beautiful lavish grounds. The staff are attentive and friendly. Great choice of restaurants on site plus bank and tour company. It's clean and very comfortable with a wide range of room options.

Excellent stay. We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the pyramids and everything was very nice. The staff was nice and accommodating & the rooms were clean. The one thing that was definitely disappointing is that all baby chair they brought for our daughter no matter how they cleaned them they were extremely dirty. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we are definitely coming back.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel contacted me in advance before my stay, and I informed them that it was my wife's birthday trip. They decorated the room and sent a lovely birthday cake to help us celebrate it. Room and the hotel in general were clean and furnished tastefully. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We stayed four nights here. It was the most expensive but also the best place we stayed in Egypt. The decor is an older style but very well maintained. The grounds are large and there's a nice view of the pyramids from one side of the building. On the other side is a large heated pool and a smaller pool that is heated to hot tub temperatures.

They have three restaurants on site. We liked the breakfast buffet. You can sit outside and enjoy a view of the pyramids over breakfast. We also liked the Mughal Room, which was an Indian restaurant. (We didn't try the others.)

Stayed here for 3 nights, over a weekend in Dec, as part of a 13night ancient Egypt holiday. Beautiful grounds. An oasis. Much nicer than Old Town, Nile side brands/hotels. The new museum, Sphynx & pyramids are here so the location is amazing. I saw sunrise/sunset on the Pyramids from the restaurant area/grounds every day. Food is amazing, beds v comfortable & staff friendly. Do go
