White Desert Tour

We had a fantastic experience with Islam and his White Desert Tour. They picked us up at our hotel in Cairo right in time and then we drove four hours south into the desert in a comfortable car to the hotel. We opted for a night at the hotel instead of the Bedouin camp so I can't comment on the overnight camping part but the hotel we stayed at was really cool with very interesting architecture. The desert visits were great. It gets better with each new site you visit and culminates with a sunset that was just incredible. Unforgettable really. I felt the price was fair for the service and I would definitely recommend them.
Be aware that it involves a lot of driving. So you'll be in a vehicle quite a lot that first day. The food we were served was fresh and simple traditional food.

We went on the white desert tour for two nights. Islam took such great care of us. It was an amazing experience, the highlight of our trip to Egypt. Everything was taken care of, with our meals all made fresh with local produce. Islam was amazing, he explained the history of the desert and took us too many memorable locations. You could really tell that he cared about the place and was excited to share it with us. I recommend going for at least 2 nights, as this allows you to get further inside the desert and see more of its natural beauty.

I've done a two days overnight tour in the white desert. Everything was perfect! The guides were super friendly, fun and did all they could to make our stay the best possible. Camping in the desert is an unforgettable experience and the guide is also an excellent cook!

Went there for a 2 night trip (3 ppl + 2 guides). It was amazing. Islam has a good sense of humor, speaks good English and is very helpful. The landscapes are beautiful and the food is very tasty. There was a good balance between moments when the guide chatted with us and moments when we were alone. Price/quality ratio is good. I recommand this to anyone.

I never imagined a desert could be so beautiful. My only regret is that I didn’t plan to stay many more nights. The service was equally amazing. I can’t wait to come back to do an extended tour with friends and family. Thank you WDT!

This experience was without a doubt the most magical part of our stay in Egypt. Islam is a thorough professional who organized the best trip we could dream of in the White and Black desert.

We spent 2 nights and 3 days discovering the desert and it was a one-time life experience. Landscapes are unforgettable, you feel very privileged as a human being to experience nature this way. You'll feel very humble as well.

We were 2 girls coming from Europe, not sure sure whether the desert would be safe, but it is 100% safe with Islam. He has lived in the desert his all life and will take you to visit the best spots. The food served was just...amazing. Islam is a great cook, it's the best food we ate in Egypt.

PS: we were lucky enough to spend NYE in the desert. We celebrated altogether sitting around the fire singing! Magical!

We booked our white dessert tour with Islam. It was a great experience and very safe. We went with a one and a three year old child. All took very good care of us and the baby/kid.
We found him through recommendations in google and he responded very quickly via WhatsApp and google duo. He organized the pick up at our hotel in Cairo and we stayed the evening before the tour in his camp, it is rustic but we were treated like family. We did saw all the relevant attractions: black dessert, crystal mountain, agabat mountains, white desert.
The highlights had been the over night stay in the white desert, the lunch break in el haize and all the meals. Islam and his team member cooked very well for us.

We spent four days/three nights with Islam and Mohammed and it exceeded all my expectations! The whole trip was meticulously planned to the highest standard and we felt so taken care of and safe. Every day was a new adventure and filled with great food, beautiful places and fantastic experiences -- we went sand boarding, swam in crystal blue salt pools, 4x4 sand duning (if you haven't done it, you need to before you die), visited ancient tombs and citadels, camped under the stars with a fire, climbed a mountain in the black desert and woke up to the sunrise in the white desert.

I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for an Egyptian desert adventure. I just wished we had more time! If you can, do 5 days minimum.

My friend and I had an exceptional three night/four day tour to Siwa, Bahariya and the white desert with Islam and Mohammed. It was seamlessly coordinated, and each day was packed with amazing activities, sites, people and food. This is one of the best tours I have ever been on and I can't thank the lovely team enough!! We always felt well looked after, safe and were blown away by the stunning landscapes. I would highly recommend booking with them. Great local guide! I did a 2 days tour with him visiting the black and the white desert and it was amazing. He was very helpful and he can customize the tour regarding your needs! Plus, the dinner they prepared in the desert was literally the best meal of all my trip in Egypt. I totally recommend him to visit this beautiful part of the country!

We selected White Desert Tour based on Google and Tripadvisor recommendations and were not disappointed. We arranged everything through WhatsApp. They are a very relaxed bunch which comes through in their communication style. No need to worry though, everything they promised came true, on time and exactly as described. They were not just the best value but also stood out for being flexible. Drop off at Luxor after the trip, no problem. Other operators claimed the road was closed or charged extortionate prices! They just said: Sure, we can do that.
We spent 2 days and nights in the Western Desert with our family of 5. Ranks with the best experiences ever. Especially Akabat Valley was amazing. A true sound of silence experience in a beautiful place. The team just did everything right. They are the real deal without putting on an act. Highly recommended.

It was literally an amazing & unforgettable trip in my whole life!

Islam was a very nice local tour guide who knows everything about deserts we went for. As we did not have enough time to sleep over in the desert, he arranged 1 day tour for us(I went with my older brother and the tour was only for us). The car from Cairo to meeting point(around 4hrs) in Bahariya was very clean and comfortable(if you experienced old & dirty taxi in Cairo you would understand how important it is), driver was quite but very kind as well. During the trip, Islam gave us detailed explanation about all those deserts and set up nice picnic in desert for enjoying sunset & starts. Watching so many starts in the sky in desert was such an amazing experience and we really appreciate he arranged the trip to let us enjoy all these even for 1 day trip only(normally 1 day trip is not arranged as I know). And even he treated us dinner at his place before we were heading back to Cairo as he worried about us skipping our dinner and going for 4hrs trip. I was surprised & touched by his kindness, it was the best food ever in Egypt. I strongly recommend this trip whoever looking for Bahariya desert trip in Egypt I promise you won't regret it. Plus, he is an expert to find a way without a map or anything in the dark lol.

Very good tour of the White Desert. Islam was a great guide and cook. We sandboarded, visited all the most scenic places of the desert, and had a great dinner in a Bedouin tent. We slept comfortably in tent in the middle of the desert

Great experience camping in the White Desert. so it was freezing but we were provided with sleeping bags and woollen blankets. Bedouin BBQ dinner was so delicious. I'd recommend bringing wood fire snacks and hot chocolate for a cosy experience. Also byo pillows! Thanks so much
