Badry Sahara Camp

We spent 3 nights at Badry Sahara Camp and it was an incredible experience. It is a very quiet area, close to the desert and with a beautiful view at sunset. The rooms are comfortable and clean, there is a fire in the evening, you can order lunch and dinner and Badry, the owner, is very helpful and kind. he helped us with everything we needed and it was very nice to spend time with him around the fire. Thanks Badry!

Had an amazing stay here. Very kind people owning the place, that is located in a quiet and calm area, big difference from the busy noises of Cairo and Giza. Would recommend and will certainly come back again! There is an optional tour through the desert where you can stay a night as well. Quickly arranged by the kind owner of the place

We stayed in Badry Sahara Camp on the first night of our trip to the oasis and the second we camped out in the white desert.

We were very well welcomed, the food was delicious and in big quantity.
The cabanon was cute, clean and comfy, the outside area is really nice to chill out.
Badry made sure we had a great time.

Fox was our guide for 2 days, we had the best time with him, he is a really funny and attentive man.
The landscape we saw were breathtaking.
I would recommend, if your up for it, to take two nights or more in the desert. It is a wonderful adventure full of amazing stops along the way to appreciate the immensity of the landscape. It was a very welcome break from the intense cities of Cairo and Luxor!

Badry and Fox organised a surprise birthday cake in the desert for my boyfriend’s birthday, we would never forget such a kind gesture !

Nice camping with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The owner is really helpful and cooks very well :) I spent one night in the desert and one night in the camp. The tents have air conditioning, they are small but fresh and confortable. The oasis and the desert are absolutely wonderful. Worth the trip!!

We stayed there as a family with kids for two nights. One night we slept in the desert. This has been undoubtable the highlight of our travel to Egypt and a unique experience. Our guide Fox is Beduine and told us a lot about Beduine culture. The tour is scheduled to enter the white desert at sunset. Just see the picutres!

The car is a Toyota Landcruiser with a 4,25-Litre-Diesel-engine and a ton of torque. The guide drives very safe and relaxed. You do not need to have any concerns about safety. Its safe there. Cellphone reception is everywhere, even in the desert.

I stayed at Badri’s Sahara Lodge for 3 nights in early November as a single traveller and couldn’t be more satisfied. I highly recommend it for anybody wanting to spend some quiet time and who wants to travel the Black and White Sahara. I spent 1 night in the Bahariya camp, 1 night with a group in the desert, and then again 1 more night in the Bahariya camp before heading back. It’s a long drive from Cairo, so I decided to add one day before and after the safari trip to relax and I didn’t regret it.

The Bahariya camp is located at the outskirts of the Bahariya Oasis. Within a few minutes of walking, you can easily climb a small hill that’s part of a plateau surrounded by the oasis. After the first night, I got up early to walk the desert and I had a wonderful view of the entire oasis, its fields and buildings. Both sunrises and sunsets are something else. Each guest sleeps in a small hut that’s simple but comfortable and fits two single beds. Toilets are again simple and clean, with some hot showers. The guests eat on site as there aren’t other options around, but the food is simple and tasty, with fresh produce from the oasis itself. This is not a big hotel building on the corner of a busy street, but a cozy place with simple and comfortable amenities. Overall, the Bahariya camp is a quiet place that’s ideal for relaxing and exploring the desert in safety.

Badri and his son Ahmed offer Sahara tours that are well organized and very professional. The Sahara safari was an incredible experience. We drove into the desert to see a few famous landmarks before moving to a site where the guides set up tents, made dinner for the guests and lit a campfire. They have small two person tents for the guests but I decided to sleep under the stars which was an incredible experience. It’s so quiet during the night that you can hear your ears ring. The group was well taken care of and the guides collected all the trash before leaving the site.

Fair prices, nice and fair owner, nice staff and very close to nature. Overall, a 10/10 experience. It is no exaggeration that this is among the nicest places I’ve seen in my life.

Badry & Haney were the best hosts! I did the overnight in the white desert tour and it was beyond what I could have imagined. Purely magical✨ They had everything we needed and requested and showed so much love and kindness. A+++ hospitality. Amazing food, vibes, sleep accommodations, and really special sites.

We enjoyed so much staying at this camp far into the oasis. It is not in the city center which makes it so special as you have to cross the palm oasis to get there (don't worry, the road is asphalt so there's no problem if you have a car). Badry would also arrange for you pick up if you need it. What we likes is that he is not pushy to sell us his tours. he was welcoming and helpful even though we didn't buy anything from him, we just stayed in one of his huts for two nights. The place has an authentic feel, you have great views of the mountain from the top terrace and can easily trek to Gebel al Inglese within less than one hour from the camp. We liked very much the terrace in the garden which is beautifully lit at night. Price is fair and reasonable. You have hot water every day in the shared bathrooms in the garden.

Peaceful and relaxing place, just a footstep away from the desert and hot springs. Badry made our stay very relaxing, being there but also giving us absolute privacy. We started the stay with a cozy campfire and deep talk! Badry has great offers for tours to the black and white and Akaba desert. Definietly will go there again, thank you so much Badry!

Unbelievable experience, from the rooms to the night in the desert, black desert and the white desert, our guide was very good, we cooked out in the desert, the chicken was delicious, I cannot say enough, it is a must see!!

The Badry family is very friendly. They really care about guests' wellbeing and they are very genuine. They want you feel at home, rather than in a hotel. They cook for guests as for themselves. Islam (a guy who took as for safari) is very experienced travel guide and a nice person. He is in love with the desert and happy to share his teeasure with you. I love his beduin tea, will definitely miss it!

Very nice and calm place. It’s clean and the food is great. I came here for some peace of mind and left totally zen ☺. Mister Badry picked me up from the bus station and brought me there again when I left.

Badry nous a organisé 2 jours dans le désert ainsi qu’une nuit. Moments inoubliables et magiques avec les guides à travers le désert blanc et noir : nuit à la belle étoile, feu de camp, barbecue, chants et musiques autour du feu…
Lors de nos retours au camp de Badry, de très bons repas nous attendaient, toujours servis avec le sourire !

El host Badry fué muy bueno con nosotros, nos explicó muchas cosas sabias y nos ayudó en todo. Hicimos un tour por el white desert y blck desert y fué increible, muy recomendaboe pasar la noche en el white desert. Nuestro conductor Hamushi nos ayudó en todo y le estamos muy agradecidos.
las habitaciones són muy peculiares, como cabañas, y te integran muy bien en el desierto.
En definitiva muy buena experiencia
