We went to Cairo in December and I booked this hotel for our 4-day stay in Cairo. They are good people, helpful, and provide quick service. They have a fantastic rooftop restaurant. We used to have our seafood dinner there. Definitely try their sushi. We have a baby and they were very helpful all the way. The restaurant has a fantastic view of the Pyramids. The rooms are clean.

This is a three star hotel with five star services and amenities, and above all wonderful views of the Giza Pyramids from the terraces-restaurants.
We stayed there in December 2023 for a week, took part in the New Year’s Party and had a wonderful time.
Staff and restaurant associates are very courteous and prompt.
Nothing can beat the location and million dollar views of Giza Pyramids from do close!
The hotel itself is full of Egyptian art in every form and space that we felt like in a modern Egyptian Art Museum!

View of the pyramid from the roof top is unbeatable! The light show (which wasn’t on when we were there) can probably be enjoyed better from the roof top than from the Giza complex itself!

The room was spacious and clean. Bed and pillows were spot on. Toilet was small but good and shower was excellent! Complimentary water bottles were provided in the room.

WiFi was slow and they tired to fix it but still didn’t make a difference. We stayed on second floor but it was great in the reception area.

We initially thought that entry gate into the Giza complex is just a short walk away from the hotel but it’s the exit that’s close by. The entry gate is not nearby and you have to get there in a car.

We booked a half day tour of the pyramids from the hotel and they charged us $180 which included a minivan, a guide, entry tickets to the Giza complex and entry ticket to go inside the great pyramid for a family of 5. The guide was absolutely useless and extremely poor! Didn’t give us any significant piece of info and kept asking us what would we like to do instead of telling us about the history and talking about the pyramids. When we asked a few questions about the pyramids, his response was that it’s all history and nothing is confirmed!

Wont recommend booking the tour through the hotel.

Five stars for hospitality, kindness and empathy!
My wife and I had a reservation at the hotel for a 1-night (Tuesday) stay in late Dec 2023. We arrived around 11:00 am with the intention of leaving our bags at the front desk, visiting the pyramids and returning late evening to check-in. To our surprise the manager at the front desk told us that our room was ready to check in! The room was spotless and very nice. The view of the pyramids form the room was breathtaking!
The hotel lobby was spotless with the ambiance/aesthetics depicting the Egyptian civilization. En route to the room, everything was in order and gleaming! The bell boy who helped us to the room was very nice and friendly.
Back at the lobby after check-in, the manager offered to arrange a tour of the Giza pyramids which we took. Considering the Sound and Light show at the pyramids, happens only on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, he offered for us to view it from their roof top restaurant the following evening (Wednesday) despite us having been checked out. This would mean we could save on the entry tickets (USD 26.00/person) to see the show! How very nice!
Now for the part which demonstrates true hospitality, genuine empathy for guests and charitableness on the part of the hotel management.
Later that evening I started to feel unwell and into the night it worsened. Since the plan was to stay in the area and do additional sightseeing, shopping and cap it off with the Sound and Light Show in the evening, me becoming unwell threw this plan into disarray. Considering our only chance to see the Sound and Light show was Wednesday evening, my wife asked the manager if he could extend our stay in the room until evening for an additional fee as our plans to go outside have to be cancelled due to me being unwell. He looked though the bookings and told us the current room was unavailable, but he could accommodate us in another room, which we happily took up. The second room was as good as the first … spotless and very nice! When my wife asked for directions to the pharmacy, in addition to providing the directions, the manager sent a bell boy to accompany her to the pharmacy. This meant she did not lose her way to the store and in case of a language issue, the bell boy would help. Truly a noble thought! After having accommodated us with a room, helped with getting medicines from the pharmacy earlier in the day, in the evening when we finally came down to checkout, the manager refused to accept any rent for the additional hours of stay! We insisted that he charge us for the room as the help he rendered was immeasurable. Even then he did not relent. After much insistence he suggested we donate any amount into a charity box placed in the lobby in lieu of the rent. We were truly speechless at his gesture. My wife and I still have no words to express our feelings. Such acts of kindness truly reinforce the belief of humility. I sure will pay it forward.
We went up to the roof top restaurant and experienced the Sound and Light show.
I have traveled to many parts of the world and stayed at many hotels. Undoubtedly, the hospitality, kindness and empathy shown by the hotel manager and his staff at Great Pyramid Inn, Giza, is something I have not experienced before and will cherish and treasure forever.
Thank you management and staff of Great Pyramid Inn, Giza! You the best!

PS: The pictures reflect the the hotel corridors. The view of the pyramids are taken from the hotel roof top restaurant.

Pictures in the internet are not able to show how near the hotel is to the pyramids - amazing! If you can, try to book a room with view of the pyramids.

Although the location is just amazing, the service provided by all (reception, house keeping, etc.) is even better and everyone is super friendly, helpful and attentive!

The hotel also provides the opportunity to book several day tours with a private guide, which we can highly recommend! The guide did study Gernan as well as Egyptology and therefore was highly knowledgeable both in ancient as well as in the contemporary history of Egypt.

Thank you all for the perfect stay!

I stayed with my family for 3 nights and the view of the pyramids from the terrace is spectacular. Breakfast was good and all the staff members were really nice and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The best part was having shisha on the rooftop watching sunset and sound and light show on the pyramids. The only downside was the water pressure was very low in our bathroom. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Great Pyramid Inn. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in a hotel with pyramid view.

We loved the Great Pyramid Inn from the location and food to the staff we would live there if we could because it was honestly so amazing and they all made us feel like home. Thank you Manna for making us feel so welcomed on the first day to the very last we greatly appreciate you and everything you've done for us. Also thank you to Mohamed for always accommodating us for lunch/dinner and sisha at all of our crazy times. We love you guys a lot and would never forget you because you guys made this whole experience memorable for us. The view at the great pyramid inn is honesty amazing and every single one of the workers are the best when it comes to wanting to walk around the streets that they will walk with you if you want to help with the vendors and taxis from following you to make a sale, but honestly it's completey safe and their company makes those walks even better when you want to know more about what's around and the best places. This is honestly the best hotel to stay in and we have definitely learned by experience when we had to stay at another hotel for an activity one night when we were there in another city in Egypt me and my husband looked at each other and kept wanting to be back at the Great Pyramid inn already. The Great pyramid inn by far is truly incredible and we recommend it to everyone and anyone. Until next time 🙏 Love William and Maria

Great location for pyramid views. Breakfast and Sunset Dinners overlooking the pyramids and sphinxes was wonderful. Our room was not a balcony room which have pyramid views, but I was more than happy with the roof top views and the wonderfully friendly wait staff. All the staff at this hotel are so wonderful and helpful. The people here made our stay amazing. Thank you to the concierge’s, the drivers, the restaurant manager and all the staff for a great experience. Highly recommend!!

You can't ask for more. This Inn is compact but has everything you'd want. The food is good. The view of the Giza pyramids is the best on the strip, day and night. The staff speak many languages and make you feel at home straightaway. Any advice and help you need, just ask.

The location of this hotel is immense and as such provides great value. It's practically at the gate to the pyramids and has a free rooftop show as long as you buy something from the restaurant. An added bonus the hotel provides about 3 bottles of cold water each per day.

Hot water runs out quickly, but it's a 3 star hotel so what can you expect. Stellar views both from the room and rooftop for breakfast. Breakfast was alright quality wise.

I have to start with culture in this review. Not the Egyptian culture, but the professional, compassionate, efficient, warm environment fostered by Aladdin and his team at the Great Pyramid Inn. Before I even arrived to the Great Pyramid inn, I had the pleasure of speaking with Aladdin via phone. His pleasant and welcoming demeanor instantly gave me a sense of peace in my decision to choose a local hotel. Not only is this hotel directly across from the pyramids and the Sphinx (walking distance), Aladdin ensured I would have the best available room in my upcoming trip. Fast forward to the trip- the love and warmth was extended upon my arrival. Aladdin was there to greet me, and even remembered my phone call! His staff (restaurant, laundry, bell hops, housekeeping, concierge, and front-end) treated my family like pure royalty (even our teenagers). The rooms alone could be the review, as the Great Pyramid Inn presented a perfect combination of comfort, class, and “WOW” as we were able to watch the sun set over the pyramids and the Sphinx from our bed! The light show could be enjoyed from dinner on the roof, or from the comfort of our room. The food was delicious and always served in hot gourmet fashion. On our last night, Aladdin surprised us with a room upgrade. I did not think the rooms could be any better. To my surprise however, this upgrade was to the most beautiful room I have ever seen. The attention to detail on the design, the jacuzzi, bathroom, rainfall shower, and even beautiful closet, was simply extraordinary. Usually I like to stay at a Hilton or Marriott chain when overseas, for consistency and convenience. This experience at Great Pyramid Inn has now changed this, as this will be the only place I will stay and recommend staying when visiting Cairo or Giza! Thank you for taking great care of my family, and simply for the extension of love and respect pouring out of the entire team at Great Pyramid Inn.

I had an amazing experience at the Great Pyramid Inn. I was blown away with the hospitality and the staff. We always felt welcomed and they treated myself and my tour group like family. The view on the terrace will leave you speechless. never cold I imagine I would see with my eyes The great Pyramids and the sphinx right in my backyard. It's so close and there are no buildings to hide our view. When we arrived the hotel staff took up to our room carried our luggage which was a big help. We were invited up to the terrace for our welcome drink. So we could enjoy the spectacular view. We also did an RV experience which was so fun! Another reason we loved the hotel the breakfast feast was included. We also had lunch and dinner on the terrace to continue to marvel at the pyramids and sphinx. Another cool perk, we could watch the sound and light tour from the terrace. We were honestly said to leave Giza not only because of the view but also the staff who were amazing with us. I will be 100% back.

Wow! This hotel is amazing. I can't praise it enough. It's got amazing views of all three Great Pyramids from the rooftop terrace and hotel rooms. The service was excellent. The food was delicious (esp. pasta) and affordable. I liked the Egyptian themed decor. A fantastic stay.

I’ve experienced fantastic service, view, and greetings from the workers. If I visit in Egypt again, then I will not hesitate to book this hotel again. Especially I was satisfied with Mohmed’s and Zeyed’s services!

For a pleasant surprise, the hotel and the staff are exactly the same as described in the online reviews on Google and trip advisor website. Very polite and at your service staff. Less vegetarian options, but they will do their best and make you feel important. The location is as if pyramids were built, keeping in view of the hotel, so that the guests can see them without interruption. Awesome view of the pyramids and the Sphinx from the hotel terrace.
