Best authentic/traditional breakfast / Friday brunch. Speciality that are must try: Alexandria Foul, crispy Falafel, sunny up eggs, omelette, fried eggplant and lentil soup in winter months. They could do a better job for side drinks like tea with mint

I am sure Mohamed Ahmed had a ton of positive reviews but I thought why not another one.

There signature dishes include crispy falafel , delicious fool and creamy houmous.

A must visit in Alexandria. It serves classical cooking styles of traditional Egyptian dishes, beans with different herbs and sauces. Falafel is delicious. This restaurant is vegans heaven. It is not cheap , but clean. Stuff is very professional and friendly. It is always crowded, so u better park the car in the parking lot in the main square and go have a seated breakfast or even lunch then go for a walk around the downtown area. You will enjoy going back in time in Alexandria.

5, 50, 500 stars, best of the best breakfast in Egypt, no wonder they have been in business for 80 years. Although the place is rustic and traditional, the service is attentive and professional, from the true hearth of hospitality. Food is marvelous, high quality, take an example, they are very generous with extra virgin olive oil, which is hard to come across even in Egypt's best restaurants. The place screams heritage, hospitality, quality. Don't worry too much about what to order, we tried almost the entire menu, no dish is a miss. Congrats and keep it up

Was recommended by our Egyptian work colleague to visit this restaurant when on holiday in Alex. Great breakfast, very filling. I had lentil soup which was gorgeous too. We went twice on our visit so had omelette, felafel, different fouls etc. Enjoyed all of it. I think it's very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and offered menus in Arabic and English. A few waiters who spoke English took our orders and made sure we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant in right in the middle of the high street, we took a taxi to the spot. You can then walk to the sea to take in the ocean air and grab a taxi home.

The Best breakfast in the whole wide world … Mohamed Ahmed Heritage Brand is the most real and authentic Egyptian breakfast in the whole wide world … the taste of their authentic food matches exactly the real Egyptian mother’s food … the best food in the world … the food your taste buds make as a bench mark for any other food … the Reference… and Mohamed Ahmed is the reference of Egyptian breakfast … the Foul (Egyptian Beans) is the star of the show … they cultivate the beans and they slow cook it to perfection (Kahraman) … their very hot skillets make the food very hot and fresh … they have foul wit five different ways … I myself prefer the foul with two eggs Sunny side up baked with Egyptian butter …wow … their Falafel is the only World grade Falafel in the world … the other food is amazing in every aspect … the staff is very helpful and smiling all the time … the manager is very firm and strict … that is why the quality of food is so consistent all over these years … don’t park in front of the shop or else the toe truck will take your car away … try also the aubergine … the grilled cheese … Friday morning is very crowded … it seems that the whole Alexandria have breakfast there … Mohamed Ahmed is a must if you are visiting Alexandria

An absolute must for a true Alexandria breakfast. Several varieties of Fava beans, falafel, eggs, and omg the fried cheese!

We were staying at a hotel downtown and this was an easy walk, but it is worth the trip if you aren't in the area.

The one place that you must eat at once you arrive at Alex. Has been going to thus amazing restaurant for over 35 years. And I'm amazed by how they stayed authentic and real taste of Egyptian food all those years. Can't praise enough, The quality of the food, the excellent service by all those great lovely men who has been working in that place for years and how efficient they are. Thank you for being the best place to eat in whole Egypt since my childhood. Never change please.

Looking for a delicious, quick, filling simple meal? Look no further. An amazing experience from start to finish. As soon as we sat down we were greeted and no more than 2 minutes after ordering the food was on our table. We ordered falafel, hummus and eggplant. I can say with certainty that we were very satisfied with everything this restaurant has to offer and will absolutely be back for second, and thirds.

This was the best meal in Egypt during my stay so far. Very friendly staff. Ask them for their own recommendations ( like their Alexandrian foul) and they won't steer you wrong. Nice authentic atmosphere. You will have the best time in a small, bustling place where the people are genuinely serious about making great food. Go out of your way to eat here while visiting Alexandria. 👍

If there’s locals, you know it’s good! Ordered the falafel, shakshuka and coffee. Delicious, affordable and well priced. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

Authentic place to have a traditional breakfast in Alexandria.
In addition to the conventional dishes of Foul and Tahmyiah (Falafel in the Arabic Mashreq) don't forget to order omelet with bastarma, realy delicious.
The restaurant is well located in the heart of old Alexandria, few steps from the sea front.
The atmosphere is very friendly and the service is excellent.

I still can't get over how nice their food is, even though they serve dishes that are served almost everywhere.
