Nubian Village Aswan

Came here as an add on to an existing tour I was on and I would highly recommend it. We came to the village on a boat from where the cruise ships dock, the boat ride was cold (early February) but it was incredible. The village was cool. Our tour guide brought us through the village, through a house, school, etc. Had a great time! Fun to see the camels walking through the village too!

Very small village where you will find very traditional things. Loved the homes with crocodiles to protect from evils. You can also get the black henna done while you are there to visit. There is a mosque so you can do your prayers as well. From half way, you can take camel ride which was fun village by itself is very colorful.

This tour was optional by our guide so we ended up paying extra. I wouldn’t advice to go with guide here as it’s pretty much self explanatory boat ride can be arranged on your own.

Nice place to visit and experience the Nubian village and traditional way of living, clothes and food.
Always need to barter them with them with the price but they're nice people so always hold a smile.
You'll see camels just chilling and lazing around, and you can also request to ride a Camel too.
They have the traditional shows which we didn't get to see as we were rushed for time.

The village is full of vibrant colors. I had the opportunity of touching a baby crocodile in this village. Almost every household has a crocodile pet. As people say, the place is instgrammable.

Interesting walkabout in the village. Loads of shops selling souvenirs. Remember to bargain hard. It's a little stinky as there is camel pool at certain places

Nubian is a small Village in Aswan Egypt , The tribes that live in this area are called the Nuba tribes. They are known for their generosity, and among their customs they raise crocodiles to ward off the devil. They trade in local handicrafts such as carpets, clothes, and statues. The houses are distinguished by their white and light blue color. You can visit this area by renting a motor boat. I enjoyed this visit because it is something new.

Nice place to explore, the hospitality and the spirit of the people are enormous. The colourful houses and streets are joyful to see. Do not miss this trip, so different than the rest of Aswan.

Nubian village in Aswan is has become a major tourist destination its vibrant with color and kind and decent people lots of shops and good restaurants with a variety of shops with local hand made goods and herbs and spices when you reach the village and go up the dock take a right 3rd shop on your right you will find ahmed and zizo they will give you the best price in town i walked and searched they are decent and not greedy with a cheerful attitude after that keep going till you hit kendaka local food great taste of nubian dishes with honest pricing average cost per person is around 250 Egyptian but better to go there tell him your order then walk around and come back in an hour or 2 food is prepared and cooked fresh so it takes some time

Amazing colourful village with friendly locals! Was only there an hour but had a lot to see so I must return. Get a tour here if you can.

If i have to say what i felt, i have to recognise that Nubian means kindness and color.
If i have to choose where to live, i would say Aswan.
If i have to say what beeing human means, i would say Nubian people.
Not only in the village, its turistic its beautiful indeed, but later found out by casuallity that there where more, real villages around Aswan, where i was so happy.

Perfect place to enjoy your day .... you should reach the village with a boat in the nile ,having lunch, ride the camel , taking photos , and buy some souvenirs 🥰

Boat tour to the Nubian Village was the highlight of my Nile River Cruise trip. If this is offered as an optional tour event in your package, I highly recommend taking it. The view from the motor boats heading to the village was amazing, especially during the sunset hours. The village is built as a tourist attraction, but the prices are negotiable and very reasonable. There are many vendors and resources in the village. Overall a great cultural experience.

Very authentic nubian hotels, very clean with a stunning view on the nile. You can buy beautiful handmade items.

A must visit while in Aswan. Lovely spices for sale. Get a henna tattoo. Visit a Nubian house and see how they live today.

Amazing village with friendly people along with the amazing camels that are literally everywhere you go. Definitely recommend it !!

Nice local experience. You will enter into the Nubian village to be with the local people, see the alligators (you can take some alligator to with your hands) drink tea, have some shisha and hear the singers playing music and singing (very nice vibe!)

Also if you like, you can have a hanna tattoo in few minutes.

A place to go by boat. It's a very pretty neighborhood, and there are many pretty handmade items made by Nubians themselves. It is a good place to spend leisurely time over a cup of coffee or tea. In the middle of the village, a restaurant and local cafe run by locals raises crocodiles, so you can see them up close. The Nubian people are really kind and pure, and it seems to be melted into the Nubian Village.
In addition, unlike the locals in Egypt, Nubian villages do not solicit customers, so you can escape from stress while traveling. You can also go by car, but if you go by boat, you can see a good view and enjoy much more romance than by car. A boat can be rented for around £500 to £700 for 5 hours, which is a good price.

Great place to visit and see the culture of these magnificent people. Very hospitable.

Do not expect a fancy place with clean well-built roads. Expect a genuine, from the heart, Nubian village. The small simple shops that sell nubian clothes, souvenirs and herbs. The colorful buildings and hotels in nubian style. Camel rides. Oriental Egyptian food.
And of course, the mesmerising view of the Nile.
I recommend going from 2pm till 8pm to get a chance to see everything, and enjoy the sunset view of the Nile and see the village go alive with all the lights at night

Transported to a unique place like no other in the world. Just beautiful.
