Love our stay here .
Thé best stay. The hotel is very luxurious, service is excellent. The restaurants are top notch. The room had a lovely lake view that is out of this world. The inside and outside pool are heated and everything is sparkling clean. Marina at the concierge was extra helpful all the way from the check in to check out. Very helpful , informative, professional and very pleasant to talk to. Would definitely come back again. I loved that this place is historical with a very interesting history of v prestigious visitors including Agatha Christie whose 1978 movie was filmed here . I love that the hotel made sure that the movie is accessible to everyone staying in the rooms. Made sure we watched it . Can’t wait to come back and share my great experience with others

We enjoyed our stay very much. The ambience is beautiful, especially the old hotel with its stunning historical architecture. We had dinner in the oriental kebabgy restaurant. The views over the Nile were breathtaking, the food very good and seemed to be quite authentic. The staff was very friendly and polite. We had a very good time!

Fantastic stay, we went to celebrate the Chinese new year and the atmosphere was truly worthy.
Marvel was so nice and always wishing us a happy new year! We were so happy that all the people are charming.

This property will leave you speechless. It's everything you expect and more. If you are taking a once in a lifetime trip, don't stay anywhere else in Aswan. Service is world class and the hotel is breathtaking.

It is hard to find words to describe this hotel. It is absolutely magnificent and a must to visit once in your lifetime. Rooms, restaurants and grounds are amazing.
We were fortunate enough to have met Marina from Customer Services and were we offered a tour of the Agatha Christie's and Winston Churchill Suites. They were amazing. Marina provided great information and was extremely friendly.
We have made memories that will last a lifetime.

The service at the Old Cataract was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and remembered small details for each guest which was amazing. Marina was incredibly helpful and gave us an enjoyable tour of the Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill suites. The hotel gardens and pools are picturesque. The view from the terrace at sunset is a once in a lifetime experience. The amenities are all modern and impeccable. The rooms in the old wing are spacious and very comfortable.

For sure the best hotel that we stayed in during our time in Egypt. It feels like stepping back in history. I wished that we could have stayed longer here. We took a boat tour of the city that left from the docks of the hotel. I would recommend this to anyone staying here. Also the breakfast was second to none.

They were the best two days of my life. Everything from gate to gate was great. The room was wonderful with the nile view. Dinner at Restaurant 1902 was a fantasy. I also had a very nice lunch with Zeyad at the swimming pool. The staff was very helpful and very nice. They helped me with my luggage everywhere and they always smile. I hope to come back soon.

This is one of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever been to. It was built is 1899 and is very well preserved and maintained. The view of the nile is amazing and the rooms are elegant. The staff is very professional and friendly. Marvel gave us an amazing tour where we learned about the history of the hotel and saw Winston Churchill and Agatha Christie’s suites as well as the 1902 restaurant. Marina checked us in and arranged a complimentary cake for my wife’s birthday.

The Oriental Kebabgy was a delightful dinner. Live music, amazing food and good ambiance. Peter was an amazing server and Miriam was a fantastic hostess making us feel very welcomed.

Eid ,in reservations made a lasting first impression. Absolutely stunning experience. If you are booking here, try to spend all your time at the hotel itself, it really was such a pleasure! From the entrance, pillows, breakfast, staff … all insanely great! would love to go back. If you happen to find yourself in Aswan , definitely a must!

I had an amazing stay at the Old Cataract. Everything was excellent from the staff’s hospitality to the quality of the service and rooms. The hotel provides a tour of its most famous rooms. Marvel from Guest Relations shared with us all the historic details about the hotel in a fun and engaging way.

The hotel is a piece of art and the views are from another world!!

The hotel is gorgeous and service is 1st rate. My private terrace with the Nile view made me feel like a princess. I was happy to have taken the hotel tour with Mariena and was able to see the Winston Churchill suite although I was not fortunate enough to see Agatha Christie's suite. Nathan in the gift shop was very friendly and knowledgeable so I purchased lovely bracelet.

Beautiful place with very special atmosphere, beautiful gardens, amazing decorations. I believe everyone would enjoy staying here.
I had a hotel tour with Marina from guest relations and it made me definitely decide to stay here very soon.

Mariam was a gracious hostess at The Oriental Kepabgy !!! The food was delicious and service exquisite. Everyone was so amazing and attentive. We would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant perched on the cliffs of the Nile River. The views are only surpassed by the people!

Had a wonderful afternoon tea as part of our nile cruise. The hotel is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Staff are wonderful, nothing was too much for them, especially Sandra from reception and our waiter Hedra (small) who were both really friendly. Would definitely recommend this for anyone thinking about having afternoon tea here.

This magnificent hotel is THE BEST hotel we have stayed at - and that is a VERY HIGH BAR!. The rooms and restaurants were fantastic. The location is excellent. And the staff were very courteous and helpful. They even arranged for a full moon setting across the Nile for us.

Another breathtaking stay at our favorite hotel in the world. There is a reason loyal guests return time after time. We stayed five nights and recommend you extend your stay beyond a quick pre or post cruise to enjoy the incredible service, food, and scenery.  Some kudos for staff:

1902 Restaurant: We appreciated the kind and attentive service at breakfast everyday, including from Husayn, the king of the Old Cataract, and Miriam and Muhammad. Essam and Samah were wonderful hosts at dinner, and thanks for helping my wife with a special request that made our evening even more memorable.

Kabobgy: Miriam was our generous host again! We loved enjoying elevated Egyptian food under the stars, and the trio of musicians were spectacular. Perfectly grilled and spiced shish tawook, and the chicken tagine was also amazing.

Housekeeper: Muhammad Kamil in the tower went above and beyond to not only make our room beautiful but also added little surprises each day. He provided the most attentive housekeeping services we have experienced at any hotel.

Masseuses Donia and Manita gave increíble hot stone couples massages.

Restaurant terrace and bar: Hedra with his warm bar service and fantastic cocktail concoctions made our evenings especially memorable, and Mohammad Abdullah, Hussein, Mostafa, and both Ahmeds made us feel like family with their superb service at dinner and high tea.

Pool: Peter, Emad, and Hussayn always put a smile on our faces with their welcoming service and delicious cold drinks.

Excellent facilities in a great location. Staff very helpful, service in dining rooms could be a little slow, but hey we’re on holiday. I can highly recommend the excellent history tour of the hotel with Marvel, nice to see the Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill suites.
