A nice place to enjoy some interesting wine or aperitif; the sommelier here is truly skillful '-) A particularly great experience was the glintwine made from warmed-up, affordable Spanish wine, spiced with clove, cardamom, and South Estonian buckwheat honey. The Limoncello served in an icy glass was also delightful.
Next time, I plan to try the pizza for 12 eur, especially the version with anchovies, which promises to be interesting.

Hands down the best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. Special shout out to the team who couldn’t have been nicer, provided us with customised wine choices and simply couldn’t have done enough for us. Can easily say I’ll be coming back the next time I’m in Tallinn.

Italian cuisine isn’t only about the authenticity of carbonara (although that too). It’s about the feeling, the atmosphere and good ingredients combined by the professional chefs and great wine paired to it. This place has it all for the price that doesn’t break your bank. Very much recommend this place!

Good location and cozy interior. Food and wine selection felt really authentic to a humble Italian restaurant. Celebrated my birthday with a small group for dinner. Im glad i picked the right spot :) Regards to our waiter/sommelier Nikolai who made our evening even more exclusive!

I have been to many restaurants from NYC to Tallinn. Many restaurants I have reviewed and given my feedback . I must say this is incredible boutique neighborhood restaurant. The staff were professional and spoke English fluently. The food was incredible from start to Finnish. I would say it's a hybrid/fusion . Price range were mid range. I would highly recommend for anyone living here in Tallinn or visiting in Estonia to come to this place. thank you and Aitah!

The moment we have entered there was an immediate feel of comfort and as if we were at an old friend’s house. The food was exceptional and extremely delicious accompanied with excellent service full of love. Trust the flow of ‘osteria Moderna’ you will not regret it :)

Wow! What an amazing surprise in the Kristiine neighbourhood of Tallinn. Authentic Italian food made by a kitchen which has obviously been experiencing the same on site in Italy.

I had both a homemade pappardelle with gorgonzola and onion sauce as well as a perfectly baked duck fillet with orange slices. Both dishes were delicious and well-balanced. The service given by the staff really holds international standards by being attentive and knowledgeable yet discreet.

Well worth a detour from the central part of town! Do not hesitate!

It's a hidden gem in Tallinn. If you love authentic, fresh and delicious Italian food, this is the place to go. In addition to tasty food and drinks, you would also be positively surprised by the cosy atmosphere, music, affordable prices, and amazing service. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back myself.

Authentic Italian restaurant, amazing food which makes you come back, pizza and pasta is to die for, cosy atmosphere, wonderful choice of wine, service is very friendly, sommelier is highly attentive and always recommends a right wine. Great place for group events or romantic dinner, totally recommend.

Good and friendly service. Carbonara was delicious and fresh. We also loved Tiramisu and Panna Cotta, but Creme Brulee wasn’t the best. Focaccia was amazing. The place had modern and cozy atmosphere, but the foods were pricey.

We really liked the place. We celebrated a birthday with a group of 12 people. In total, we tried 5 dishes and tasted 6 types of wine (my new love is Cantina di Trento Sauvignon Blanc Arjent). The food was delicious (my favorite were vitello tonnato, tiramisu, stewed cheek) and the service was quick.

Incredible place! I was happy to know that they are finally open after moving from the old address. The new location is even better! Food is delicious and perfect selection of wine:)

Owners/chefs are hands on, ready for a quick chat. The waiter certainly knows his onions. Short but pleasant visit. Will be back next week for a follow up visit with friends.
