Great experience. Very helpful server, fantastic food and beutiful medieval interior. Definetly recommended for a great dining experience.

Also great wine pairings suggested by our server. Rhubarb desert wine was instant hit for us.

An outstanding experience with impeccable service in a cozy setting. The food — lobster bisque, venison, chocolate with cream and sorbet — was delicious, perfectly prepared, and also very thoughtfully presented. I can’t recommend this incredible restaurant highly enough and will return here the next time I visit Estonia.

Stenhus house was an absolute treat.
Service was superb. The atmosphere classy but cosy and the food was just amazing. We just had mains and desserts and even it was small it was just perfect. An explosion of flavours, textures and colours. The wine was perfect and they were quite nice to make my partner birthday special. A must if you want quality over quantity at Tallin.

A beautiful restaurant, with delicious food. The menu was a delight with some real care and attention taken when designing it. The meals were absolutely spectacular, bursting with refined tastes. I couldn’t recommend more. I’ve dined in many restaurants and this was one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a while. What an incredible dinner.

We had a lovely dinner as a couple here. Our waiter Aleksei recommended us the Tasting Menu, which included a 5 course meal. The dishes were very nice from both an aesthetical and culinary perspective. We also had the different wines which were perfectly paired with each course. Although normally in a restaurant almost nobody pays particular attention to the bread and butter served before meals, the selection of bread (housemade, rye bread and onion bread with beetroot and truffle butter) was also a highlight (which apparently you can also buy separately as a loaf if you like). We noticed that both our waiter and his female colleague were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food and pairings and also attentive throughout the whole evening to make sure that every guest has a lovely evening. The setting in the restaurant was cozy, the design tasteful and everything very clean.

My husband and I (from the US) were visiting Tallinn for one night and went here expecting an upscale, modern take on Northern European cuisine. We were completely blown away with all of our expectations surpassed. The food was exquisite, full of well balanced and creative dishes. The service was outstanding and the ambience in the cellar dining room was perfect for what the proprietors were trying to do. Furthermore, the price point is incredibly reasonable. I’ve eaten in Michelin-starred restaurants and Stenhus met that caliber. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Tallinn and will absolutely come here again the next time we visit.

The food is absolutely amazing. The waitress is a lovely and she knows how to help the guests choose the right food. She also knows how to communicate with the guests. We had a lovely halibut and some wine. The price is a little bit higher than at other places but it’s really worth it. The restaurant is beautiful inside the cave.

Very lovely meal. Simple and elegant menu. More your $$$$ meal but you get gastronomy in your plate. Wine prices are a bit excessive. Food wise was pure pleasure. And you have the added charm of being in a cosy cellar of a historical building that is also one of the best hotels in Tallinn. A boutique hotel on top of it.

Not perfect, but you can def feel they were trying as part of the 5-star Schlössle Hotel. The online booking system didn’t work well, as when I arrived they told me as a solo diner I can’t order tasting menu, but that’s exactly what I booked online. But they kindly cooked for me in the end admitting this is their error. The food was okay, some hit, some missed, but overall a nice experience. The best to me was actually the beetroot butter and bread.

Amazing classy restaurant underground surrounded by stone and a warm fireplace. Staff was very friendly and showed us the wine cellar in their cigar smoking lounge.

One of the best restaurants we've ever visited. We had 3 courses each so 6 different dishes and they were all amazing! Will 100% return the next time we visit Estonia!

Incredibly delicious restaurant. The risotto and beef were just great. This is one of those restaurants where you eat everything on your plate. Large selection of dishes, friendly staff, pleasant music) The kitchen is beyond praise, amazing presentations!

Such an atmospheric place, especially for a date, fireplace and old stones making a good impact on this. Service was incredibly good, food was graceful and evening went smoothly.

We were a large group that booked the chambre separée and our expectations were blown away. They went above and beyond at every occasion. A special mention to Mihhail and Omar who took every possible measure to ensure we had a great visit - including escorting us to a nearby bar when we asked about where to go next.

The tasting menu was incredible, the ambience fantastic, the wines delectable, and service was superb. We went for a work dinner. Warmly recommend!!!

Lovely atmosphere great character and amazing cuisine, The sampling menu with the wine pairings was just perfect

The feel is definitely formal here but no one raised eyebrows when i came in in shorts. Staff is super polite. I got two bonus appetizers which tasted both great, especially the dark fruit bread. Then came the best, the smoked eel, finished with the blow torch. As a main i got the pike perch which was good, maybe though i would swap the cauliflower with something else. All in all was great.
