La Avelina is a famous brand for milk that comes from and old hacienda in Ecuador. For many years they are very well known. In the 70s the milk that every person in Ecuador drank came from this hacienda, therefore it is still very known, at this moment the market is more for international milk companies.

One of the famous products is the ice cream with special ingredients that you can find in some stores in the area, not easy to find in other provinces, so recommended for every body. The cover, the chocolate is delicious, so all the ingredients that are part of the ice cream.

Really yummy ice-cream! Pure homemade chocolate and vanilla... It's a must if you wanna have a break!

Always stop here on the way back from Ambato to Quito. They have the best ice cream bars and i always stock up on milk and cheese here.

Resalto gustoso la atención de los meseros; muy cordiales y atentos a los pedidos. Los platos riquísimos. Y los precios muy accesibles. Honestamente no planificamos ir allí; sino al restaurante de a lado.... pero como estaban a reventar y haciendo fila de 30 minutos; decidimos cruzar la calle a un ladito y nos topamos con este paradero. Además tiene 2 pisos y en la plata baja funciona también una pequeña tienda para comprar cosas para el viaje. RECOMENDADÍSIMO!!!

Pedimos desayunos con huevo perico y todo absolutamente todo estaba muy sabroso.

Acogedor, deliciosos helados tradicionales y sobre todo su honradez con los objetos olvidados.

No tienen mucha variedad en desayunos pero son muy ricos y buena cantidad. Los huevos parecen de gallo y gallina. Un precio más que razonable. Me pareció que faltaba un poco de agilidad en el servicio.

"Paradero Restaurant La Avelina " Excellent food, prices very reasonable, I recommend the soup "Locro de Papa" (Ecuadorian Potato soup), "Llapingachos con Puerco hornado" (Potato Patties filled with cheese with Roasted Pork on the side), Churrasco: (Grill Steak with French fries, salad, rice and eggs) is another great dish. Excellent service. All my friends from the USA loved this place. Excelente restaurant con Buena variedad en sus platos, los precios muy accesibles, recomiendo el Locro de Papas, Llapingacho con Puerco hornado en horno de Leña, tambien recomiendo el Churrasco. Los Helados La Avelina...los mejores. Todos mis amigos de EEUU encantados con este restaurant
