Hacienda La Ciénega

Hacienda was built in the late 1600s. Absolutely beautiful with original style furnishings, flooring is made out of very attractive wood. Food was excellent dining room ad fireplace which added to the ambiance. The grounds and Garden area is very well maintained with beautiful flowers. Chapel Adorn with a lot of wood doors and seating. Staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend you spend the night or stop by for dinner and walk around the Hacienda.

The long driveway lined by trees to the entrance, 🏛 the garden, resident lamoids,🦙food/vino (fried rice was great) 🍲🍷service and the view of Mt. Cotopoxi… 🏔take a look at the sign in 📖 book, and yes the Southern Cross ✨(not the song) great, thank you…

The location here is always gorgeous and beautiful. We have eaten here many times in the past, but I have to say the food was outstanding, and they really brought it up several notches. First class food!

Such a beautiful place with more than 300 years of history, you can visit for a day or stay at night.. can breathe a fresh air, eat a tasty food and enjoy every spot of the place. A tip is so close of the beautiful Cotopaxi volcano that you can enjoy and see this awesome volcano.

Don’t know how anyone can not give this beautiful amazing place a 5* plus ! Beautiful rooms fantastic views great service amazing food , friendly atmosphere ! It’s like staying at a friends house for the weekend . It’s so worth a visit you will not be disappointed , luxury at such an affordable price . I wish we could be there now , have stayed a few times while visiting the area and would never stay anywhere else . Ignore any review that give it less than 5 out of 5 ! Probably a competitor who can not meet the high standards of Cienega .

I would highly recommend this place, beautiful and with and unique history. You feel in a time travel! I loved the fireplace in our room. The service was very nice and the restaurant as well! A must if are in the área close to Cotopaxi!

Incredible place. More than 400 years old, a hotel since 1981. A lot of historic value, the building as well as the 300 meter driveway with 250 year old giant eucalyptus trees on the sides. Unique place, must visit.

This is a fantastic hacienda of historical significance. It was built in 1680 and the chapel was built 10 years later. The accommodations are phenomenal and our food was among the best we'd eaten in Ecuador. Beautiful!

A must see stop on the way from Cotopaxi to Quito. This 400+ year old farm house is just gorgeous, well kept and full of history. We've never stayed overnight, but have enjoyed their restaurant and gardens many times. Service is usually good but can get slow when tour groups show up. Food is very good as well, thou a bit on the pricy side.

400 years old Hacienda, a mystical place at the at the foot of the cotopaxi. lovingly kept in good shape. a paradise at the end of the dust track with a magnificent mansion, a small chapel, a paradise garden and ancient furniture. Good restaurant. stay overnight in rooms with an open fireplace or in the suite where Alexander von Humboldt used to live.

Road access to Hacienda was hell. Terrible road. I was afraid I might have a flat tire.

Beautiful three hundred year old hacienda with a colonial chapel that will take you back in time. An iconic place of Ecuador and home of one of the most traditional and aristocratic families that produced several Presidents of Ecuador. Stay here or just have lunch; you will enjoy this experience.

Restaurant close to the Cotopaxi volcano, a restaurant that was once a farm, very nice food and service was great. Have a beautiful chapel, very nice path of very old tall trees. 100% place for a weekend outing

Built in 1592, this Hacienda is amazingly beautiful and richly historical. I also felt tremendous unseen energies in the upstairs room which was once occupied by Alexander Von Humboldt!

Unique experience. Worthy sleeping there one night to discover the typical historic haciendas where rich Spanish families used to live.
