Hotel Catalonia Royal La Romana - Adults Only

The resort is beautiful, very clean and meticulously manicured.
The staff is amazing and very friendly. Amare and Juan made sure all our needs were met, from the moment we arrived right through to when we departed. Jennifer took great care of our room, it was clean and well maintained each day, and Luis made sure we had whatever beverages we needed during our times at the beach.
The food was great, from the morning breakfast buffets each day, to the dinner-time meals, the food was well prepared and delicious, and the wait staff was very attentive.
I liked the accessibility of all the little snack bars available right off the beach during the day, and enjoyed the live entertainment each night in the courtyard outside of our rooms which was the perfect nightcap to each of our days.

Great experience!! Beach is fabulous, no seaweed, clear blue water and shallow. Staff is wonderful, from the bell desk to all the food and beverage staff at the restaurants and beach. We stayed in the duplex suite with a pool and it was so enjoyable and worth it. Drinks are provided quickly and with a smile. Everyone is so helpful and engaging. Will definitely be back.

I want to give a huge thank you to Moreno Feo. So versatile and truly makes the stay an amazing experience. He is extremely talented. Victor at the Bar is friendly and detail oriented. These guys add value to an already lovely resort. So refreshing to be around such friendly people with positive energy.

Me and my daughter are on vacation and we love it here. They have dancing to keep us busy by the beach, it’s simple and fun! Moreno Feo is a professional! My daughter had a great time!

This is a gorgeous resort. The staff are amazing. Jennifer took care of our room and she was outstanding. The food is delishous and perfectly served. We had the private pool and made great use of it. Juan and Miguel at the beach kept us taken care of. Bravo to Amoure as he was the perfect butler. He kept on top of all our needs and reservations. He was friendly and very eager to be sure the vacation was well managed. I appreciated him very much and am eager to return. Thank you. J Stevens

Luis is excellent waiter on beach, he went above and beyond in finding my mother a coconut when she spotted another guest sipping one!!!!! Ariel and Victor are were also wonderful waiters, friendly and provide great service! They are the best always smiling! I could go on and on with wonderful staff. We loved playing dominoes with Fernando and Aryd....(sorry cannot remember spelling of your name it was a long one), who took his patience to teach us how to play to win.

The rooms were beautiful and clean. The only problem was we spotted a roach and we gotvfreaked out, wecwere on the first floor so it came under the door, yet again, front dest switched us to the front villas with no arguments, thank you for making us more calm about it.

The restaurants were nice, my mom and I loved the Asian restaurant?, very tasty and well presented. We went there twice, Michael served us, he was very accommodating. Mom loved the way the fresh red tuna appetizers were prepared, he provided her another helping.

The Beloved was another hit and favorite, you can have A La Carte at lunch as well! Thx to Joul from front desk customer service, provided my mom and I with a beautiful delicious cake for we placed do not disturb sign on bedroom door, came with a cake and brought it himself to Beloved restaurant for it was our last day. My mom and l were celebrating our birthday, the whole restaurant and all the guests chimed in to sing us happy birthday, it made our last dinner memorable!!!

Only complaint was BD Experience tours, we lost $160 US dollars, mom got sick one night and I hurt my hop further due to an upcoming surgery, they would return our money we begged Francis from family side and Nikki our Nexus Tour agent it was very mean of them not return at least one of our funds. They could see I was hurt, but nothing. Nikki said he would leave an envelope under our door it was a lie, so be careful and make sure you are up to tours.

The hotel is excellent in all areas. Top service from the messenger Mayquer, but also from the entire Catalonia team. This was our best vacation ever. People here are nice and helpful. Beautiful beach and sea, excellent food, excellent people. Love at first sight.

Yescania Excellent ,Resort was beautiful. Staff was friendly Mabel, Luis and Lee and the rest of bartending staff do an excellent job. The language barrier wasn’t a problem they were very patient getting through any challenges.

This was our honeymoon and it was superb. The 5/5 starts are worth it. Everything from the room, to drinks, food, pool, beach was paradise.

I want to thank Luis from the beach bar, Jessica from the launge bar and Mayquer among others for making this an unforgettable experience.

Mariolis is very nice and friendly. Every morning I come to her bar and she waits with a nice smile and wave. Her drinks are very good, and fast!
I enjoyed my stay here for one week, and will miss all the employees that I got to know! Very wonderful place!

We had an amazing experience and absolutely loved this resort! Our room was perfect and very well taken care of by Yenifer. The beach was absolutely gorgeous. We couldn't get enough of it! The service provided by Luis at the beach was phenomenal. The food was also very good, especially the buffet.

I can't say enough good things about the staff. Service was great every where we went. A special shoutout to our exceptional butlers and concierge team - Amaury, Juan, Sebastian, Freddy, Alfredo, Mauricio, and Chavely!. They made sure that every aspect of our stay was seamless, making our trip truly special and stress-free. We will definitely be going back!

The Beach Bar&Sushi is the best! Very nice Shushi from Johan and good drinks! The Service (Ariel, Luis, Daniel, Angelo, Erizon, Yasmely, Berenice) ist the best! Thanks for your good Job!

Really enjoyed our stay! Mariolis was spectacular and warm, she made beautiful drinks and a gorgeous swim up pool and restaurant!
Jessica, Mabel, Jumagel & Victor mixed up amazing cocktails at Twist bar and we went there everyday!
Loved the areas just for adults only that are separate from the complete resort. We also really enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool.
The food was mostly very good.
The entire resort was wheelchair accessible including the beach area (see attached photo).

Luis Had an absolutely amazing time at Catalonia! Staff are extremely friendly, attentive and understanding. Our group had an exceptionally amazing time with Moreno Feo, he kept our spirits high the whole time with his bachata dance lessons ❤

Hotel with nice location, a lot of different restaurants around, never get bored from the food. Variety choices of food. Especially Peruvian Restaurant is the best choice.
Many activities and entertainment everyday, it was enjoyable and relax.
Have a nice Salsa lesson with Moreno feo, he is friendly and humorous.
Another great guy is the waiter (Lee) at beach. Always remember I need water and help me open the bottle every time. Very kind to me.

However, the room services is not optimal and consistent. Everyday can miss something, forgot to refill or change. The towel or the bath map is always missing one of it.

We had a fabulous vacation at Catalonia Royal La Romana! We will definitely be back soon! Mariolis behind the pool bar was a gem! Resort is beautiful, spotless and staff are friendly! Loved our stay❣

Mayquer, Juan Carlos & the entire resort is an excellent. It exceed our expectations to the highest - my husband & I had the best time!
