Really a well preserved and beautiful church ⛪🤩😍.

They even allow you to go all the way up, and have a nice story - telling both up-and downstairs, about the area and the church itself.

Definitely worth a visit!

Really cool experience to see one of these round churches inside as well as outside. We entered the church and walked to the top. It’s very narrow and steep but still worth a visit if you walk carefully. It’s beautifully constructed. There is a shop nearby where you can enjoy a coffee or a light snack.

An amazing Bornholm round church.
There is a small entrance fee, make sure you take a leaflet with more information on the church.
There is a narrow staircase to the second floor and attic, which will only allow 1 person to go up or down. On the second floor there is some more information about the church, but unfortunately only in Danish.
The attic gives you a view on how the roof is held together: amazing woodwork.

Old circular formed church originally from the XII'th century, romanic style, built as a fortress with thick defence walls with arrowslits. Upper part able to be visited, where an explanatory exhibition is displayed.

A delightful little church surrounded by well-kept gardens and church grave yard. The shape is so unusual as to probably be unique. The pews are all timber and enclosed for each family. There are fresco wall painting around the central circular interior. While busy it still achieved a sense of tranquility. One of the gravestones celebrated a bee keeper. See photograph. Free to enter.

One of the most interesting churches I’ve visited. It’s really interesting in the outside, but also in the inside. When you get in it really feels like going 700 or 800 years ago. If you want to go up to the first and second floor be aware that the steps are not suited for people who are using crutches, as they are very uneven and irregular (they where meant to be like that so no knights could go up easily)

It's a Historic church site. The architecture is a bit unique due to its round shape. Its historicity and the reason for the shape are explained well inside. There is also a beautiful garden all around the church outside.

Lovely - from outside and inside. Free parking. Entrance fee is 20aed (3 euro). Children are for free. As part of the entrance fee you are allowed to climb up the narrow stairs all the way to the top of the tower and experience the feeling of medieval setting. Nice view from above. There is a graveyard as part of the church garden. One of the few round churches on the island. The climbing of the tower is not recommended for people with claustrophobia as well as small children unless carried by their parents.
