Hindsgavl Castle

Spent 3 nights at the hotel in August 2023. Loved the opportunity to swim every morning in the private beach area

The food was exquisite and on delivery of each course the waiter meticulously described each element of the dish.

On our last day we were treated to a visit by the local porpoises at the beach side. Certainly an experience we won't forget.

Our only minor criticism is making it clearer as to transport options from the local train station. A section on the website on how to get to the hotel would be much appreciated by guests who don't know the area.

All in all the food, area and overall experience is one of the best I've had for a long time.

The castle is beautifully set,with access to the shore of the Lille Belt.
The gardens were superbly maintained.
The cafe,we could enjoy provided excellent service. The presentation of the food was to a high standard.
We can highly recommend this place!

Tranquility in all its forms. Great drinks, lovely terraces, wonderful well prepared food.

Only remark on the room: there are tiny windows that have no covering, so you'll wake up early due to light.

It was such a pleasure to stay at this hotel. We were really impressed with a history of this beautiful placa. Everything was gorgeous: the nature, the atmosphere, the hospitality. I’m looking forward to return to this great hotel!

Lovely place, decent rooms ( no a/c unfortunately), extremely good service at all fronts ( reception, restaurants, staff in general) and location is probably one of the best in denmark with beautiful parks. Highly recommend!

I booked a room with a mix style of the original old castle building and the new material inserted that going well and interesting. I like that the bathroom is separated between the toilet and the rain-shower👏🏻✨🧖‍♂💦

The hotel amenities were quite complete and the needs: iron + ironing board, coffee maker, dryer, but if it's better, there should have slippers for walking inside the room, then we could feel relaxation and cleanliness because the hotel has a beautiful garden area to walk around,our shoes used were accompanied by dirt.🍂🪨👟

We didn't have the opportunity to eat the hotel's food because the hotel organized an event.Moreover, in terms of breakfast, it is considered good. Especially, the cake (in pictured) is delicious.🥖🥓🥚

We visited as a dinner company of 13 people. I had a delicious and wellcomposed three-course vegan meal (not on their homepage, but no problem if you call in advance), and the diets of the other guests were also considered very well. Beautiful area, and very friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable considering what you get.

Other than that a really nice recreational area with trees of love, ruins of a fortress, nice view of the island bay area... it is possible to hop on a boat to the harbour, if other poeple hop of they (free of charge)
Last but not least there is a small hut in the center that sells coffee, tea, hot chocolate and buns.

This place is located on the outskirts of Middelfart and even though it is called a castle, it reminded me more of a big farm. The property boasts very large and gorgeously landscaped grounds. You can choose whether you want to go hiking by the seaside or roam the surrounding forests and meadows. In the evenings you can see herds of deer just outside the hotel. The service is impeccable, the rooms are nicely decorated and very functional. The beds are comfortable. The food in this place deserves a special mention - breakfast, lunch and dinner options are very rich and refined. A truly gourmet experience. They also do have a large wine and beer selection. Overall, a great place for a weekend getaway for couples, families and those, who just need a break from the busy city life.

This is definitely a place on the must visit list. The castle itself it's impressive and the surroundings are absolutely stunning. It's the perfect place where you can easily admire the beauty of nature while also disconnecting from the day to day rush. Looking forward for a new opportunity to visit the place again! ❤

The best place we had in Denmark. Nice and confortable room (we had a private exit on the backyard) with a very nice bathroom. Wonderful breakfast which include fresh squeeze orange juice. Wondeful location in perfect natural area for walking including deer in the wild which can be seen everyday.

So picturesque! An area of natural beauty, filled with wildlife. So many deer to see, such an amazing opportunity to see the wildlife in their natural habitat. A lovely place to walk, run and chill out. There's plenty of parking and some very quaint little wooden huts to sleep out in, if you're into that sort of thing. Well worth a visit.

Great place for conferences or a weekend stay. The main building as a bit worn down but the old staple is very modern and sleek. The patina of the main building is not off putting though in fact has a nice charm to it. The surrounding area is very charming as well.

For REAL

I attended a business meeting for 3 days at Hindsgavl Castle and can only recommend it to everyone whether on holiday or business. The rooms are a great size and appeared in good condition. The surroundings around the castle are really nice with paths for a stroll along the sea or into Middelfart. The food is of really good quality and is a really good experience. The only thing I could have wished for was for the bar to have a bit bigger selection of drinks.

Beautiful exterior, with modern and sleek interior. Rooms are cozy, and have good space for more than just sleeping. Together with nice service this place is a must visit if you want to spend some quality time relaxing.

Beautiful scenery with a well maintained garden. The place is really peaceful and it is easy to spend many ours enjoying the nature and watch the deers and nature.

If you enjoy peace of mind and nature, or just like a beautiful walk, then this is a great place.
