A little bit weird, a little bit cozy, all around welcoming. Art on the walls, on the floor, a host as nice as one can hope for anywhere. Fantastic hole in the wall to grap a cocktail or a quick bite and stay way longer than planned drinking tequila after tequila. I'm a little bit sad for not actually living in Rostock.

Best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to outside of Mexico. The owner is very friendly and a fantastic cook. The food is basically custom made to order.

**You have to call ahead of time and let him know what you plan to eat from the menu. He’ll go pick up the best ingredients for that dish that day and prepare an amazing, authentic home cooked meal.**

The Restaurant functions on a low food waste system. so you need to order food in advance before going. However, it was relaxed and the food was great. Please ask when booking a table and food for vegan options, they are availible on some popular items.

We had a great time at Maya. The owner is very friendly, open and generous. He invited us to several tequilas when we have been there for the first time. The food is very delicious and authentic Mexican food. He makes everything by himself that's why you have to reserve seats for some meals. We can highly recommend everyone to spend a visit :)

Food was great as well as the service and company. The owner makes real authentic mexican food and it seems like this is the only place in Rostock that actually delivers when it comes to 'hot' spices. I'll be coming here often.

Real Mexican food! Everyday a hundred tortillas are made by hand and served in an exquisite combination of real Mexican dishes. It's not just a Café-Restaurant, it's also a gallery where any kind of artist is welcome to expose or perform! Quality Tequila is served and you won't leave without drinking at least 1 shot! the most authentic Mexican food we have ever had in not just Germany, but all of Europe. the food tasted just like at abuelitas and the frozen Margaritas did not disappoint. owner is really charismatic and you can tell he puts a lot of love in the restaurant and the food - fresh ingredients, art, and a little tequila. what is not to love? it's a shame we don't live in Rostock or we would be there to grab lunch or a drink at least on a weekly basis. ; )

Maya Galerie ist eine sehr familiäre Bar/Café. Es gibt hier original mexikanisches Essen welches liebevoll zubereitet wird von dem Inhaber der aus Mexiko stammt. Auch die Cocktails sind so verdammt gut, nirgends anders bessere getrunken. Man lernt immer immer neue Leute kennen, der Inhaber ist super lieb. Ich bin seit vielen Jahren Gast und diese Bar/Cafe ist Geheimtipp für Rostock. Wer einmal her kommt der kommt immer wieder 🥰

Tretet einfach ein, lasst euch auf die Empfehlung des Gastgebers ein, genießt euer leckeres Essen und vergesst nicht, einen richtig guten Tequila zu trinken.

Hervorragende mexikanische Küche mit sorgfältig ausgewählten Zutaten absolut höchster Qualität. Das Essen schmeckt wunderbar, der Chef, Inhaber und gleichzeitig Koch ist ein unglaublich netter Mensch, bei dem die Gäste und deren leibliches Wohl an absolut oberster Stelle stehen.

Denkt daran, dass einige der Gerichte vorbestellt werden müssen.

Solche Lokale sind etwas sehr besonderes und sollten unbedingt unterstützt werden.

Wer mal ein etwas anderes Restaurant erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Ein sympathischer Inhaber, der stets gut gelaunt ist und das Essen frisch zubereitet. Und nach dem Essen gehört hier auch immer ein Tequila dazu. Ich komme gerne wieder.
