IGA Park

This is a lovely little park with a springy bridge, if you walk at the resonant tempo, a peaceful chapel like woven tree space, woodland walks, a lake, and a bunch of strange nautical art objects. I'm uploading a few pictures of some of these. There's a big cargo ship that's a museum too, though it was too late when we arrived so it was closed. See lots of propellers, winches, dry dock pieces and more. If it weren't for the revoltingly expensive trick tunnel toll, I'd go there again.

IGA Park is located between Gross Klein and Schmarl, It is easily accessible from either the Lütten Klein Train Station or Lichtenhagen Train Station either with a bicycle or by Bus 31. The Park has several attraction listed below:
▪ Shipbuilding and Maritime Museum
▪ Japanese themed Garden (Japanischer Garten)
▪ Willow dome (Weidendom Rostock)
▪ A set up stage for events.
The Park is environment is serene and filled with greens, the air is amazing coupled withe the fresh breeze from the Warnow River. The IGA Park also has a parking lot, a miniature golf course, and two suspension bridges. I’ll recommend you pay it a visit during your visit (especially summer period).

Amazing place I liked it even more than varnemünde! The park itself is wide and with variety of landscapes, also there was a concert when we were there which added a really cool vibes 🔥the beach is clean and water is shallow and also there are many water games and activities ❤🔥 you can bring your own food or buy Sth there, food is very yummy 😋,

Beautiful park for any form of relaxation, I just love that I could do absolutely anything there! From reading to meditation to relaxing even saying a prayer!!! Awesome

Nowadays this is a pleasant park with lots to explore - including a beach, which not many landscaping parks have! We also loved the willow structure you can get married in. Easy to get to from the nearby S-Bahn, but signage could be improved.

There are different park themes. Chinese, Japanese, flowers etc.

To beat the summer heat it's one of the best place to visit. You have water activities, food and drinks. You can even have barbecue parties there and enjoy it with a view.

A true gem of Rostock. Either you go there for a walk, sunbathe on the small beach near museum or ride a bicycle around, it is totally worth it. Lots of playgrounds for kids, not many people, beautiful gardens and everything in brilliant condition. Highly recommended for families with children.

Absolutely recommended for sight seeing especially for get to know you kind of stuff

Fascinating maritime museum in a lovely setting.

It was calm, huge and far away from traffic and noise. The only thing I was missing are public toilets and places to buy some food/drink. It has a lot of benches and tables for picnicking.
