Rostock Zoo

Amazing zoo with a big selection of animals from different geni. Also the animals are having a lot of space and the zoo has taken care of generating an environment where they will feel more comfortable.
Also, the zoo park is so large, going early to go through the whole area by evening is a must.
The price is definitely worth if as this place needs to be maintained.

All in all, awesome place, best zoo I've ever visited!

Overall it's a fine zoo. However when I was there in May 2022 and they had 2 young polar bear cubs. The polar bear exhibit was extraordinary. Very impressed. The rest of the zoo is pretty large and has a lot of stop off areas for kids to play. The food situation isn't great.

Loved the place. Very well maintained zoo. All the animals looked well-fed. Nice place to spend the day. Darwineum was very interesting.
The polar bears were the stars of the day for me.

I am visiting Rethwisch Bõrgerende Germany from my hometown of San Francisco, California and i decided to support the local Rostock Zoo by visiting the animal light show. I am impressed by the creativity and hard work the Zoo staff has established. The crowd visiting the show was very light and it was easy for us to walk around the light show with our Black Labrador (€4.00) and we did fine. The weather was cold so we did not stay to late but we did get a good view of the show. I recommend a visit with your kids or family.

Very nice zoo and huge. Come early morning, it will take all day to visit it properly. They have lots of different animals from all over the world.

Our kids 3 and 5 had lots of fun and want to go back.
It is big surrounded by nature. Really big variation of animals living there. Darwineum was our favorite and we can only recommend. Food is as well very decent with many options.

Great zoo. Loved my time there, the open air section is great, the walk in the forest is very nice. The monkeys 🐒 and polar bears 🐻 are amazing. Also the food in cafeterias is also very good. Overall really worth a visit.

Awesome place. Zoo for kids even for everyone. A day need to spend here. It's really large and many variety of species are there. Restaurants are inside. So you've easy access to the food. I saw the seal fish feeding. It was amazing. The seal fish obeys that guy and doing dancing, jumping,etc. I enjoyed a lot. Hope you too.

Really like the place. Plenty to see and very professional made. Big area, but easy to navigate. Food and drinks was expencive, but thats normal in zoos. If you are in Rostock, this is a must visit.

This is a sprawling zoo, with plenty of attractions for children and adults. The price is a bit higher (17.50€ adult on 31/08/19), however it's easy to spend a full day there. I would recommend.

There are lot of kinds of animals that people can look. It is a good place for everyone include kid or adult. There is also a Darwineu m if you want to know how this earth was created according to its theory. Ther is also a Polarium, where people can see sea creatuees

I've been to a lot of zoos all over EU, this is by far the biggest and nicest I've been to. It never seems to end and you can actually see all the animals which is not the case in a lot of zoos. Go early and plan a whole day. Darwineum is amazing but I'm always bolloxed til we get there bc it's at the end 😂 can't wait to see the new polarium after they open.

A very nice Zoo, situated in a fine balance between the feeling of being in a city and in a forrest. Very informative signs and nicely shaped cages. So both a wonderful Zoological and Botanical experience.

Great zoo! Great staff! The darwineum it's an amazing combination of a museum and a zoo, I was amazed by it. Can't wait for the penguins and polar bears! Definitely worth spending all day.

Amazing zoo! The park is integrated into the forest which makes the experience very good. We had our kids 2,5, and 10 years old, all enjoyed the experience. The Darwineum was a super cool way too explain the evolution from big bang all the way to humans / animals.

We liked walking here. You can see the entire zoo only if you walk from opening to closing.

A fantastic day out for my wife and myself. Darwinium is a must see and a nice place to eat. Polar bears are really cool.

Better than I expected, one day is even a bit short of you want to visit both the main zoo and the extension.

Lovely park with beautiful spots and good arrangements for the animals.
