The castle is beautiful! Too bad that on the inside you can’t take pictures.
On the outside you’re one step from the alps, trees and 2 beautiful lakes that make the place look like taken out of a book.
The walls, ceiling, and ornaments are wonderful, of course like every castle is full of amazing stuff

This castle is absolutely amazing. The walk-up isn't all that bad and well worth it. I wish I had pictures of the interior to add more to how impressive this place really is. I would love to have a couple of days just to roam the whole thing.

Beautifully crafted structure. A masterpiece on its own. You can book tickets online. You can park the vehicle and then take a bus or the horse carriage to reach the Castle. 10 mins walk from the Bus stop. Please take return ticket of the bus at the time of taking the trip to the castle saves some money.

Absolutely magnificent castle! The art and architecture is incredible. The history is beautiful. I loved all the colors inside and all the different rooms. The outside view is absolutely chanting. Definitely worth the trip to check it out. My favorite were the murals which were inspirations for many stories that I am familiar with!

Beautiful views even with the snow falling. we enjoyed the tour of the castle and walking around the town. definately recommend taking the bus or carriage up closer to the castle especially with the slick pathway due to snow and its quite the incline of walk. the walk down was just fine

The Castle is AMAZING! Be prepared to walk. Forever. There is a house carriage that you can take up and back, it is cash only though. There is an ATM nearby though.

There is TONS of walking involved. When we looked online, it says wheelchair friendly, but I'm not sure how it could be. So many flights of stairs. (I'm not in wheelchair, I just have back issues.)

There is a yummy donut cart on the way down, again cash only.

The gift shops are full of great treasures. They take cards.

If you are in the area, it's worth going to visit. Make sure you get riches in advance. We looked at going on the weekend but they were all sold out. We ended up going on a Tuesday, that was the first available tour.

No need for me to explain how beautiful the view of this castle is. Inside is also very beautiful medieval style painted rooms and furnitures, 30 minutes guided tour only, need to climb some stairs, buying tickets in advance is advisable unless you are doing this with a travel agency. Strictly maintain the time mentioned in the ticket. Photography inside is not allowed due to copyright issues, but going in was worth it! Do not bring large luggages, tiny backpacks allowed.

All the hype is completely justified. It's stupendous to look at. My recommendation is to take a bus upto the the bridge from where you can get the view point. And, then you walk to the castle. While you come down, best is to walk since it gives a perfect view and experience of mountain air.

The castle was absolutely beautiful. Audioguides are comprehensive and available in multiple languages. The interior tour was interesting and it is an architectural marvel, but the real highlight was the exterior. It is elegant and marvelous, and definitely worth visiting. There is also an extensive network of trails that provide gorgeous views of the castle(s) and Füssen.
Important Note: Plan the start of the walk up to be earlier than the start time of your tour. The incline is steep and miscalculating could lead to missing your time slot. We made it with 10 minutes to spare by starting the walk up ~35/40 minutes in advance.

Lovely sight. Takes about 20-30 min to walk up, I recommend booking tickets early in the morning, otherwise it might not be possible to enter the castle, since it's only visitable through a guided tour, which sell out quite often already early in the day. Definitely worth a visit, it's super beautiful up there.

Worth a tour of the interior to see the artistry and hear about its inception. The tour wasn’t long and was a large group, leaving slower wanderers or those with more questions a bit rushed. But worth it! If uncertain of the signs for where to start your hike, you can follow the road that the carriages take. Also hiking to the view from the bridge is a must!

A very beautiful Castle from outside! One must definitely visit. It was wonderful to trek up the hill up till the Marienbrücke and take some spectacular pics of the castle and the river beneath! Overall takes around half a day to tour.

So beautiful! Be prepared to walk and walk up and down the mountain to get there! Don't forget the 100+stairs! Then walk and walk back up the mountain to the bus or horse drawn carriage! It is amazingly beautiful if you can make it! 100 stars!

Visiting the castle must be planned in advance by purchasing tickets on the website. The experience is unique. If the weather is good (no rain or fog) you will get wonderful photographs of the view of the Castle, the lake and the city itself, which is very charming. On the way to the Castle and minutes before the center you can find good restaurants. I recommend the tour!

Beautiful castle like from a fairytale.
This place is very famous, so there are many people they want to see this castle.
You can pay for tickets after you scan a code with your mobile phone on the entrance door.
It is 18 €, which is in my opinion a little bit expensive.
But you can hike around the area, it is fun and give you good feelings. The air is so clean.
So if you want to see the most popular castle in the world, you have to visit Neuschwanstein 🏰

Gorgeous. Magnificent. Outstanding. Breathtaking. Impressive.🤩
There could be other dozens of way to describe this gem, easily.
The best sights are gotten from the Marienbrucke.
From the inside it was never finished so there are two storeys empty and the visit is somehow rather short accordingly.

A very beautiful castle to my surprise it was pretty small size but still worth visiting as the castle is surrounded by magnificent views of alps. Be warned no pictures allowed inside castle and the security is pretty tight.

The castle is stunning and the tour very enjoyable. 100% worth it to go inside. I took the bus ride to the drop point above the castle, walked the bridge to take pics, then walked down for the tour. After, I walked down to the town to continue exploring the area. Get tickets in advance! I recommend the earliest times to avoid some of the crowds.

Came here because I heard it's what Disneys Cinderella castle was based on. As soon as you hit the small village downhill you can immediately see it up on the hill. We came early around 9am which was a good time because by the time we left around 12 it was packed with cars and a traffic jam. We took the bus up from stop number 4 and took the horse carriage down for a very reasonable price around 10 euros for 2 adults.
