Hotel König Ludwig

We had an incredible stay here - everything was fantastic from the spa to the room to the food. The glass of sparkling wine on check in during the property tour was a nice touch and the amenities are five star. We stayed in a comfort Falkenstein panorama room which was spacious and well designed, plenty of shelves and hooks to store our belongings and spa robes and a nice sitting area. This is the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, everything was sparkling - the only complaint we had was the design of the shower which caused water to leak out onto the bathroom floor. Hans and Paul were excellent for our dinner service, the wine room offered incredible selections of local and imported wine and the breakfast buffet here is extensive and delicious. We will be returning for a longer stay the next time we are back in Bavaria!

This wellness spa is an absolute must and I'll definitely visit again (and again)!

The service I received from check-in throughout my stay was impeccable. Everyone was courteous and friendly, in both German and English.

I signed up for two separate spa treatments and both were great!

Great hotel which will fulfill all your needs

Everything was great, far exceeding my expectations. Stunning property, pool area and gardens and outdoor seating was lovely. The breakfast was very nice with a full selection of different types of choices. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.The overall atmosphere was amazing.

Rooms and service overall excellent. Room is missing air conditioning to be perfect. Only snatch in service was a torn chain on a rental bike. The refund of the rental price was nice, however doesn’t replace an experience of a bike tour through the alps.

Excellent service! Breakfast buffet is large and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Massage services were wonderful. Views of the Bavarian pre-Alps were outside the rooms and the pool areas. Very relaxing!

Amazing hotel! Breakfast and dinner are spectacular. Rooms are great, especially if you're willing to pay a bit more to get the bigger rooms. Sauna and pools are great and never busy. Attaching sunset over the mountains. View from resort. And room view.

Very nice rooms. Nice dinner comes with the stay. Excellent bar and bartenders. Beautiful views and pool. I did not get to experience any other spa facilities or breakfast. Would absolutely stay again.

Excellent hotel. Very nice employees, the food is great. Sauna and other amenities were always clean, well maintained and could hold up to high standards. We were very happy to spend our honeymoon there!

Oh my god. I never had such a great stay at a hotel. You can just sit/lay down and relax and don't need to take care of anything (literally).

The rooms are nice but nothing special. But you won't use them for anything else but sleeping anyways, because the spa and wellness area will attract you too much :-)

In generall the overall interiour design of the hotel is just gorgeous to look at. It might be a little bit over the top from the "cute Bavarian cliche" point of view. But I think most people will appreciate this (with a little smirk when they see it (-; )

The breakfast buffet is perfect from my German perspective, but I think an international guest could maybe miss some foods that are normally standard in many hotels (such as hashbrowns etc.).

But the dinner is definately top-notch and is served with a level of service that I never experienced in Germany or entire Europe. Not even a US guy will complain about bad service here ;-)

The sauna and pool area is as nice as it looks when you visit the website, so I spare any comments here.

My girlfriend and I will definately come back to this oasis of well-being when everyday life is just pissing us off too much ^^

My wife and I spent 3 nights here while on vacation in Bavaria. We choose this location because of its proximity to a variety of attractions including Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles. This resort is very quiet and tranquil while being within walking distance to town and restaurants. There are unsure and outdoor pools, both of which are fantastic. There is also a steam room, dry sauna, and a spa although they are limited on availability and we didn't get to partake of the spa. The included breakfast is very good. The service staff is excellent, they are very friendly, helpful, and speak very good English.

Love this hotel. They define the word pamper! Amazing value for money a wellness area that is almost never crowded and the most amazing food. We will certainly go again!

Stayed here in early June for two nights. The hotel pools are amazing, the staff is very friendly and the breakfasts are exellent. I would definately stay here again - it is the best place to stay in Schwangau, by far.
