Hotel Eisenhut

Wow. What a way to end our trip. The hotel setting (location and inside) is exceptional. Although the building is obviously old, the hotel is updated. There's a fine line between dingy, cheap updates, and what hotel eisenhut did which is update their space to embrace the medieval and old age influence while allowing it to feel clean and welcoming.
Location is perfect and walkable to all key locations within the area.
The hostess was genuinely friendly and we were allowed to park earlier/before check in and she also housed our bags as the parking is around a 5 min easy walk.
Our room (41 or 40..) wow! What a view! There is no air-conditioning but they did provide a portable fan which worked extremely well! Our room also had 2 large doors that opened to a balcony. My only complaint was that the bidet smelt and looked dirty (if we stayed more than 1 night I would have asked for it to be cleaned).

They had a lovely courtyard for drinks.

I would 10/10 recommend.

Really nice, welcoming and central hotel.
Bed is comfortable, the only problem was it was that on the bedroom I got it was two single beds instead of one couples bed.

The room was very spacious, in a modern way. We had to do checkout at 11 A.M., but our train was leaving only at 6 P.M., so they let us storage our luggages there for free!!!

I really enjoy my time there.

The check in experience was pleasant with very helpful staff. Our room was a decent size, as was the bathroom. All very clean. There was no a/c, but as it was cooler weather, this was not a problem. The location is excellent. The parking is a 5 min walk away from the hotel. The spaces are tight, so if you have a large car, it would be difficult to back into them. Breakfast was great. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony over looking the valley. Just beautiful. Would stay here again.

The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few steps from the market square within the walled old town.

The front desk staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. We had booked a deluxe room and it was very roomy. The bathroom was also generously large and included a much loved Bidet. There is no air conditioning, but the nights were already a bit cooler in September, so no issues here.

The bed was a bit too soft for us, but we prefer a hardness level 4, which many other people would most likely not enjoy. Therefore, unless a matrass is broken down, this is just a personal preference, not the fault of a facility.

We did not eat at the hotel's restaurant, as we are Vegans and their offerings were very limited for us.

We also reserved parking for our vehicle, which was a couple of short blocks away in an old converted monastery horse stables, very quaint and had plenty of room for our large station wagon.

Overall a very pleasant stay, and we can only recommend this location to fellow travelers.

This was our 6th visit to the hotel and our 4th Xmas-all before new ownership. We like the new upgrades but we did have a few disappointments. In the room-no body lotion, bathrobes or slippers. Hard to believe for a 4 star hotel. Dining in general- the kitchen is very good. Here are our disappointments-no cloth napkins, the Xmas eve dinner served 2 main courses of duck. For someone who does not eat duck, the dinner was a disappointment. Breakfast-I don’t think the eggs were real freshly scrambled, no sweets other than “donuts” and julekake.

Dog friendly hotel, dog bowls, treats and blanket for the dog. (No dogs in the restaurant)

For lunch we each had the bratwurst plate, potatoes, sauerkraut. It was very tasty with a glass of wine and ice cream for dessert. Fifty Euro for two before tip. Service was prompt. Recommend. Did not stay in the hotel.

Perfect location in the heart of the walled city. Finding it was a little tricky because we didn't realize we had to drive through the narrow arches into the old Town. Very helpful staff. Loved every minute of this stay!

Walk the stairs, which are old, beautiful wooden ones, and the walls are decorated with museum-quality paintings
Nice umbrellas for guests to borrow

Was a pleasant stay. Very well situated and right in the heart of rothenburg.

Ample of restaurants and the Christmas market is also half a minute walk.

The famous iconic Plönlein is also a 3 minute walk.

I would definitely recommend Hotel Eisenhut.

PS: There was no water kettle in our room but the reception was so nice that they gave us a jug of hot water and what was amazing was is that this was at 23:00.

Nice hotel in the middle of the town. Parking in their lot, after paying for it, is nice, since you have individual slots to park each car. Be careful, these shots are very narrow.
The room we were in had a low height doorway into the bedroom. Be careful if you are above average height. My wife fit perfectly, I had to duck a bit to make it through.

A very unique hotel that we enjoyed very much. The kids particularly enjoyed the kid's room off the lobby, and the bunk beds off the room. It was also a fantastic location!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Eisenhut! The room was clean and lovely with a gorgeous view of the valley from the balcony. The staff was courteous and responsive to any request. The location in town was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel!!

All around we had an amazing stay here. Super comfortable beds (maybe a bit hard but it was a good medium), blankets and pillows. Very clean room. We had a modern room and appreciated the old hallways and entrance of the hotel but loved having a modern room. Felt less scary. Lol

Service was very kind. They gave us suggestions on where to go. Location is the best! On one of the main streets of the village. We had the Italian restaurant across the street for dinner and it was amazing. So nice to just walk to bed after that. Loved our one night stay here. Saw the village in a day, so one day felt like enough time :)

Hotel Eisenhut is a gem! It is in the perfect location, just steps away from the Town Square. The building is old, but the rooms are more modern. We loved that they kept the old feeling of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Our room was clean and large! We loved being able to open our window and enjoy the fresh air.
The beds were very comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was also worth the price. From sausage, bacon, and eggs, to meats and cheeses, and the most delicious croissants we have ever tasted, it was well stocked!
If we ever get the chance to go back to Rothenburg, we will stay here, hands down!

The location of the hotel is amazing, couldn’t ask for any better! The staff at reception and in the bar were helpful and efficient. The room was sophisticated and stylish. The bed was comfortable however, it was uneven so when moving around, the bed rocked- I had to put magazines underneath one leg of the bed to reduce how wobbly it was. The bedroom and bathroom were clean apart from a few long cobwebs and a build up of dust behind the headboard of the bed which could be tackled with a feather duster so easily. Considering the location, the room was great value and I had a very pleasant stay. I would not hesitate to return whatsoever!

Very nice hotel. Location is super and staff knows their skills. Very nice spacius rooms in very good quality. Great breakfast. Only set back was that parking was not available even mentioned when booking, you get directed to possible parking lots and then the search can begin.

A really lovely place to stay right near the main town square. Everything is walkable from here. The room was large and comfortable. We didn't take the (fairly expensive) breakfast and instead walked to another place which worked out well.

I had a drink at their Biergarten! Lovely calm setting with great views, friendly staff. Great place to wind down and take in the fresh air and quiet. I had a Lilet which cost 7.8 Euros, much too expensive for what it was but hey, totally worth it! What I saw of the interior was lovely as well, quaint and very clean. The ladies bathroom, very cute and cozy!
