Basilika St. Lambertus

Since it’s the oldest standing building on Düsseldorf, I had to make a trip to visit to t . Unfortunately, it was barred closed at time of visit. Impressive architecture from the outside, at least.

Really beautiful place, we went to lightbsome candles too and it was just beautiful. definitely a nice olace to visit if you're nearby.

Great church, a beautiful twisted
roof on the tower and a few stunning mural paintings from the 15th century. Also a lovely Madonna with Child from 1100.

Beautifully maintained and retained interior of a traditional church. Be mindful to maintain your silence while inside the building as it's frequented by zealous disciples.

The church is spectacular! This is definitely a must-see and was overwhelmingly gorgeous. Make sure to take a pamphlet and read about the rich history.

St. Lambertus Church was built in 1206 and enlarged 1288–1394. The church's spire owes its twisted shape to the use of unseasoned timber when it was rebuilt after a lighting strike in 1815. Inside the church the 15th-century tabernacle and splendid Renaissance memorial of Duke Wilhelm V are worth of seeing.

Lovely place in the old part of Düsseldorf. Tranquility is the word when you go inside this beautiful church. Suggest to go when it is early before lunch as less people make it even more tranquil. Sound of the organ is great and it was playing when we entered.

Beautiful, serene church with impressive architecture, both on the exterior and interior. The statues/figures are highly detailed and intricate.

Sitting here is just like meditation. Just outside one will find busy old town and ALT bars. But here, it seems a far away planet

Beautiful... peaceful... and the Altstadt bustling just outside. Worth the time to stop and pray.
