An impressive suspension bridge, an easy walk from either town with a variety of trekking trails suitable for every age. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, but it can get quite busy.

It's a must one time visit place. Surrounding is very peaceful, not many tourists. 2.4 Km walk from parking place. But you will enjoy when you towards the bridge passing village with small cafes and restaurants. Walking on the bridge is adrenaline rush if you are scared of heights😁.

Great way to be with nature and spend the weekend. The bridge is well maintained and clean. We like the walk from the carpark to the bridge, it passes by beautiful farms and the city of Morsdorf is just amazing.

It is near the city centre after you park your car in the park lots, you are walking 2 km and then a perfect suspension bridge meets you. 360 m long. A fantastic place.

It was nice but the access was difficult. Car parking is really far away from the bridge and you have to walk all the way. We liked it but it was not worth the effort.

I wanted to visit this place for several years already. It was worth the trip! Very peaceful. Not to many people around. Clean. Plenty of parking spaces in the little town at 2km from the bridge. (About 10 Euro for 4 hours of parking) The bridge itself... Just beautiful! Nice walking trail around. About 6,4km, it'll take you about 2,5H. Make sure you have descent shoes 🙂

An experience to challenge your fear of heights. It’s a very well marked trail and even though the bridge sways there is plenty of room for people to pass going the opposite direction way without getting too close to the edge.

Really fun thing to experience but if you don't like heights stay away. Also be advised it's a 2.5 km walk from the parking lot. On a hot day you'll want water. Parking cost was about 8 euro.

A nice place for a short trip with the family. The bridge shakes sometimes and if you are not very like height, I don't recommend it.There we found a car with ice cream, coffee, beer and snacks .

Awesome place to enjoy this engineering marvel.
The walk to the bridge and on the bridge is very fascinating.
Must visit this place.
It is free of cost.
You can also fly drone here.
The bridge is around 1.8kms from the parking place.

We enjoyed the short hike to and around the Geierlay suspension bridge. It's worth the trip. We plan to return in the fall when the leaves are changing colors.

The bridge is the attraction for people without a fear of heights and adventurers. Modeled after Nepalese suspension bridges, the “Geierlay Suspension Bridge” spans from one bridgehead to the other. The name was chosen in a competition and refers to the area of the land registry the bridge is located in.

Initial contact point is the visitor center in Mörsdorf, which is equipped with an information terminal, a restaurant and public facilities.

An engineering marvel. There are 2 approach roads to reach this bridge from the Parking area. One is the walking path along the well-maintaned motorable road. The other one is a small hiking path. The latter is not suitable on a rainy day.

Great place for a hike / picnic with something different. Unique views and exhilarating experience whilst on the bridge itself. Go early to avoid crowds as it is very popular especially when weather is nice.

It’s scary at first but on the second cross it’s easy. Takes us 6 mins to cross cause there’s a lot of people on a Sunday afternoon.

It was an amazing experience, unique in it's way. The bridge looks very elegant and spectacular in the same time. The view is also superb. 🌄😲🌲

Unfortunately i had no chance to go on the hiking trails because we were in a bigger group, but I loved the entire experience.

We came from Morsdorf 🏘, so we just had to walk maximum 2 km to get to the bridge. It is easily accessible from this direction through a flat pietonal pathway.

Awesome experience to walk the formerly longest (now second) but nicest suspension bridge of Germany. There are a couple of parking lots nearby and then you walk 1,8-2km to the bridge. Parking costs 6€-€10 according to how close it is to the bridge. But the bridge itself is free you can walk over it as many times as you like. There are also walking tours which take you to the valley below the bridge. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the neighbourhood (but not if you're afraid of heights the bridge is stable but you do feel movements and you can look all the way down). We went in November on a Saturday there were other people there but it was not too crowded. Very nice experience.

I did a 7 mile hike starting in the Mölsdorf, that goes through the Geierlay Suspension Bridge. If you have the time, there are several hiking trails that take you to the bridge through different hiking loops. If you want to try them out, download and browse through the "All Trails" app. The entire area was clean, beautiful and just peaceful! The bridge was very impressive and fun to walk on. It does start to sway side to side, if it's windy or if there are a lot of people walking on it. The views from the bridge are very nice too!

We decided to stop here just because it was on the way to another site we were going to and I was happy we did. From parking in town, it was about a kilometer and a half walk to the bridge. We went early, so there were only a couple people around...as we were walking back to the car, it was starting to get a lot more active. Good views, nice hike and definitely a good experience.
