The best view is from Marienbrücke, which is 15 min far from the castle by foot.
You have a sidewalk and guide you directly there.
It was very crowded full of people, but it took only 30 minutes until we reached the bridge.
Enjoy the view

A beautiful pedestrian bridge with an even more beautiful view of the castle. Absolutely worth the 15 minute walk from the castle and the 10 minute wait. I recommend continuing past the bridge to see the mountainside viewpoints if you are comfortable with sketchy pathways and heights.

We're the tourists who don't prefer history, interior and museum so we skipped the tour and decided to go hiking around the castle
.
This is definitely one of the best view we've ever seen. Not exacly from the bridge, but a little bit of climbing to see the castle higher and more privately
.
Just becareful with all the steps because it could be tricky
.
But yeah everyone is able to do it
.
We're also lucky with the nice weather!
.
And its always crowded. Even on a weekday in the middle of low season

I never had to queue in order to cross over a bridge but it was well worth it as the views of the castle and beyond are amazing :)

We had to queue for around 20mins before entering the bridge which for safety reasons has a capacity of 200 people thus having ti wait. From there you can enjoy great views of the Neuschwanstein Castle and beyond on one side and of the valley with a waterfall on the other side. Once done, don't go back but continue crossing the bridge towards the other side and climb up for around 10 mins where you'll enjoy even more magnificent views with less people! Highly recommended to visit Marienbrücke and beyond in the forest for great views and nice walks!!

The bridge offers great views of the castle. I would totally recommend it. I know that there are long waiting queues to get onto the bridge. However, it is a must. My best recommendation is to go during morning time when the sun is lighting up the castle and the valley behind it. You will not want to miss this place. Another recommendation is to continue walking past the bridge and go up you will get breathtaking views of the castle there. It is not very common for people to experience these views as most of the people stay on the bridge and they turn back to go back to the city.

During my visit to Marienbrücke bridge near Neuschwanstein Castle, I was lucky to find the bridge open. The opportunity to take pictures with the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle in the background was thrilling. The views from the bridge are simply breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of the castle and the surrounding landscape. It's an experience I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Don't miss out on this picturesque spot, especially if the bridge is open!

**Facts and Tips**
Rebuild by Ludwig II in 19th century during the Neuschwanstein construction, this bridge offers an amazing view of the castle and waterfall!
Tips: Catch the sunset in this spot and try to avoid weekends as the waiting time can be long!

Picture says it all. Best scenery so far in Bavaria! Must visit when you’re in the Bayern area. The bridge was made by Ludwig II as he loves the nature of the Füssen area. Will come back in another season! 👑🏰

Best photos of the Neuschwanstein castle from here. However, bridge is not always open (especially with foul weather or during wintertime) so check first at the town below before coming

Great views of the castle.
A lot of people but controlled in some way.
The bridge can feel a bit shaky but no reason to be afraid.
Also below the river and the waterfall are amazing.
Easy to reach to/from the parking.

The best view of the castle is from here... Marien Bridge was built from 1866. If you take the shuttle, the destination is near the bridge, continue walking a little. The bridge has gates to control the number of people from entering beyond a certain limit. See a picture of a real fairytale castle.

BRIDGE is CURRENTLY CLOSED! I believe this is temporary and to fix or upgrade it. As you will see pictures at the bottom of the walk you cant access the bridge. However there is a still a place to see the castle from Aussichtspunkt. You just go up and over the hill and down the other side bout 100m. It is on google maps. You get to see the castle through the valley and underneath the bridge.

Excellent view of the castle. It's a short hike from the castle entrance. It can be done by all ages and is a stroller-friendly trail. I went in the evening shortly after the castle closed for the day. The bridge didn't have too many people on it. I think this is a must-do activity, considering the tour of the castle was rather short and lack-luster. This hike will help make the visit to the castle worth it.

If you can deal with the crowd that may ignore some common sense and think the bridge is their personal photo studio blocking movement both ways then go for it.
The staff at the bridge entrance is doing a fabulous job and helps to maintain sanity.
The view of the castle and the valley below is breathtaking so why not ignore the crowd behavior and go out and enjoy the view. Worth all the wait for sure it is.

This is an amazing hike up to a beautiful castle view. Be prepared to hike uphill for about 30 to 60 minutes (depends on your pace). But the view is worth while. They do have restrooms by the Castle, it does get busy so be prepared for crowds. Parking is ten euros for a car.

It’s so beautiful! Although the bridge is a bit scary with ice on it. I only went 1/3 of it. Wish I could stay longer but people keep coming and I feel like I have to move on for my own sense of security. Wonderful experience!

This is a great spot to view the Castle, and you can climb up on the top of the hill as well for a better look of both Castle and the mountains behind including the whole view of the lake. It's totally worth it to climb.
Don't miss this place out during your visit!!

Best views of the castle from here. Crossing the bridge is also kinda fun as some of the wooden planks are on it are a bit scary. Across the bridge, there is a 10 minute hike leading up to another view with a different angle on the castle.

Few minutes of waiting is expected standing in the line to get on the bridge but it will be for good. Visiting the castle without seeing it from Marienbrücke is uncompleted. Leave your fear of height behind and enjoy the stunning view over beautiful Castles of Hochschwangau and Neuschwanstein, waterfall, numerous lakes and stunning landscape. Planks might shake but it's perfectly normal. Be ready to see the bridge overcrowded as at least 100 people are standing on it at any given moment. There is somewhat control to keep bridge from over-overcrowding and it's absolutely free.

Offers the best viewing place of Schloss Neuschwanstein. It can get a bit crowded here, especially people taking selfies
