This is a beautiful garden; just big enough and small enough. I spent an hour here outside and then went into the greenhouses which costs 3 Euros (the outside was free) .

One of my very favourite spots in Karlsruhe. It's a nice and calm place but nevertheless interactive because you can have a picknick there, gaze at the plants and flowers, have a drink or snack at the restaurant or simply sit on one of the many benches to relax and enjoy the environment. The pictures speak for themselves :)

Addition: I visited the indoor area part of the botanical garden for the first time today, and it's really nice. There is a small entrance fee and the area consists of 3 big halls. I loved the huge cacti and climbing plants on the walls.

Amazing! I was blown away by all the exotic plants and how beautiful this garden is - and it is free!
It's a big place with lots of different areas for walking, sitting, chatting, reading, etc. Well maintained. Highly recommended for a visit.

So much beautiful! Loved that most of the plants were identified (my biologist side was very happy). Want to go back so I can visit the glasshouse.

Amazing display of plants from all over the world.

The green house is worth the extra money and not that expensive if you want to see even more cool plants.

Most are labeled for you to see what they are and where they’re from.

External garden is free and a great place to read and relax.

Right next to the castle and the castle garden.

It's really nice to come here on a sunny day. Go for a walk with friends or sit down with a good read. I've even seem some photographers walking around and taking photos of the flowers 😅 There is a little café slash bar where you can grab a drink and maybe some snack as well.

This is an absolutely stunningly beautiful public park. It has an indoor conservatory as well but, even just a free outdoor area is well worth a visit. It's located in more or less the center of the city, so it's easy to get to from anywhere and there's lots of restaurants and shops in convenient walking distance from it.
There is also a spectacular museum nearby.

I would recommend bringing a water bottle for your walk though, there aren't really public water fountains in European cities. You can buy plastic water bottles lots of places nearby but there are very expensive and so much garbage. Keep the garden cleaned by bringing your own and not leaving any litter.

It's a joy to sit down and read a book here in summer. Very pretty, relaxing garden featuring many different plants and a little pond/fountain. Compared to the rest of the park it's much more quiet and usually less crowded.

This is a really magical garden in Karlsruhe. If you like plants, so many unusual ones and some rather old. A place for young and old to meet up with friends. Gentle atmosphere

A very nice place for a stroll or even a picknik. Amaizing representatives of the botanical world. From the eyes of a simple user the garden feels so liberating, so much calming. It is beautifully maintained and arranged. There is also a public WC available for the visitors.
