Loved it, so many options

The best bookstore in the world ever in the history of mankind (well, actually it's just a standard Thalia)..but Thalia itself is a luxury for an Aussie since the book industry is pretty much dead in Australia after the closure of Borders. There is a cafe on the 2nd floor and you can take any books and read them while sitting in the cafe indefinitely.... what??? You can even bring your laptop and do some work.

You can find really good books here. Also, you can find all textbooks for German courses. Recommended.

It's really good place to buy different literature. You can find everything you need. Also there is a great cafe. It's good to spend time there.

This place is unbelievable. An amazing bookstore of several floors with a great selection of books in English as well as books for learning German, English, and other languages. I accidentally dropped a prescription from my doctor on the floor while browsing before purchasing a few German workbooks and their clever and helpful staff returned it to me by post.

I shop here frequently for postcards; they have an amazing collection. A variety of books from all genres. They have comic book collections too, however only in German. Plus lots of giftables like magnets, cards, coffee mugs and many more interesting things. A decent collection of language learning books as well. Prices are the same as elsewhere.

Very well books are arranged. If any book is not available at the store, you can always ask them and you will recieve the book in 1-2 days. I mostly buy language books from Thalia.

Big 4-story book store, probably the biggest one in town. Quiet a decent selection of international books and cozy reading area downstairs. Really decent coffee shop upstairs. Has almost anything you would want in a bookstore. Probably the best in town. Friendly and helpful staff.

Big book store, great selection, and good ability to order things out of stock. Also, they have a some things except of books, might be fun to browse. And, they're a coffee place on the second floor.

Great library, all kind of books available. Prices are quite reasonable and the coffee with ice (coffee shop 2nd floor) great for hot days. Willing to try hot drinks in winter :-)

The trusted book store of Karlsruhe. From kids' books to thrillers, from fiction to academic Thalia boasts a wide selection of books for all your wants and needs. There is also a nice café on the first floor, where you can enjoy your book with a warm cup of coffee but is sadly closed off during the pandemic. Going to Thalia is always a pleasure, and the competent and friendly staff just adds to the experience.
