Gorgeous view of the Bavarian Alps.Go early to beat the crowds. If you are in Great shape, walk from visitors center to the elevator Plaza instead of riding the bus. If you have walking and balancing issues, going to the top may not be for you.

A nature based place as well as Historical. The views on the top are gorgeous.
If you don't plan to hike up do buy tickets in advance from the website. This place is very popular. RV buses take you up.
I would highly recommend to hike up to the place. It's not a very difficult hike and has a well marked trail. Beginning half is gravel and rest of it paved. Took me 2 hours to go up and an hour and 10 minutes down.
Park the car in the parking lot and the trail can be found on the right side of where the RV bus starts going up. Do opposite direction if you came from Berchtesgaden. Take water and get a cap. Would recommend starting early.
There is a restaurant on top but it was very busy. There are restrooms

Thw Eagle's Nest didn't disappoint. We took the hike road up by walk and were gifted with the breathtaking view and staggering feeling of the history.
The whole Eagle's Nest is nowadays a restaurant where you can get a Schnitzel for 20 euros.
Pro tip, you need to buy yourself a ticket for the bus one hour in forward and the last elevator is at quarter past four in the afternoon.

Extraordinary place! Very busy but a must see!

When you buy the tickets your time going up in the bus is fixed but the brass elevator and bus down are flexible (even before or after the stated 2 hours). There are other free things to see and do at the bottom (Berghof, archives and tunnels) but some are closed in off-season).

Impressive place to visit for a bit of history and some great views. Although we had lots of clouds it was still ennjoyable. Not much to see from the house which has become a restaurant. Only possible to drive up there with the special bus line which is the only actual cost.

Beautiful place, totally worth visiting.
Apart from it's historical significance, this place provides unbelievable panoramic views. The best part is that you can either hike till this point or you can easily take a bus followed by a lift to this house.
The views you see while in the bus are terrific.

What a strange place. The scenery is stunning yet it has a marcarb past, being used by Hitler as a place to hideaway and plot. Evil was planned here.
Well worth the visit. The journey up on the bus is worth the entrance fee.
The tunnel to the brass lift has a James Bond feel about it. It's possible you may feel a little dizzy from the change in altitude, nothing serious if you rest for a while and watch the blackbirds that float around.
On the drive up to the carpark, I had to occasionally drop to first gear, the hill was so steep. Bring a picnic to eat while waiting for the bus to the top.
You can save yourself a few euros and walk up, about 2 hours. Good luck with that😁.

We took a tour up to the Eagles nest where we learnt about the history behind it all. Beautiful view and can easily spend a few hours taking it all in. Be sure to check out the documentation centre and restaurant at the base. Tickets are very easy to purchase and bus runs every 15-20 minutes... make sure to take snaps as even the bus ride is very picturesque

Don't like heights , but I was okay going up to Eagles Nest , Germany . The view was extraordinary! Very historical place with never before seen photos of Hitler and his entourage there . Good food in the restaurant. Good service . If you're ever in the neighborhood of Bertchesgaden , Germany , don't miss it.

We drove to the parking lot where the bus ticket center is located. Bus tickets were 30€ per person and included a departure and return time. Took the bus up to the top at appointed time, walked through a tunnel, rode elevator up to Eagles Nest. The building is now a restaurant with only 2 rooms to explore with limited information. But the views are breathtaking. If you hike further up the hill, the rocks can be slippery so wear closed toe shoes with good grips. When finished, you can catch an earlier bus down if there's room. You have a 2 hour window but it takes about 1 - 1.5 hrs to explore.

This is one of the must do's if you ever are in the area, it was simply an amazing experience the whole thing. We arrived there for the first bus. I would highly recommend doing that because when we came down at 10ish there was at least 30min waits for tickets and all the busses where packed to the brim. The parking was fine a bit expensive. Buy tickets online in advance it would have made it all alot easier. The place itself was beautiful with some of the best views with amazing walks and fun to walk around the whole place. There are some via faratas there as well. We didn't go to the restaurant because it looked like it would be pricey. Must do

Although is was a rainy day, the ride up to Eagles Nest was spectacular, and the little view from up there through the clouds was breath taking. I do recommend to get the private tour (for us was to late).
From the top, you can go on a lot of hiking trails.

A must see if you are in Burgtessgaden! The hardest thing about getting there is figuring out how to pay for parking at the parking lot at the bottom (no English instructions). The bus ride up is fun and full of incredible scenic vistas! The restaurant at the top is wonderful and so is the beir. Plenty of hiking opportunities once at the top, and lots of history to take in. Wonderful bucket list experience.

Once again, we wanted to learn more about the war and the great opportunity to visit the Eagle Nest , it didn't disappoint.
The views are endless as far as the eye can see , bring your hiking boots for better traction , fun trails to explore

Great example of NSGWP engineering and excess. Being one of the few standing buildings of the era this a must visit for any history nerd. Arrive early in the day to allow time to explore, enjoy a beer, and have lunch. I doubt there’s a more scenic view anywhere and I’ve only experienced a few roads/drives that rival the experience of getting to the Eagle’s Nest. It’s only open during the summer.

Eagle's Nest, the resort for Adolf Hitler that he had built for himself during WWII. A very pretty place to visit, as the views are stunning. The history is amazing.

A must see if traveling around Munich at all. The history, views, and people are amazing. I would have enjoyed more time there, a few hours at least. There are trails behind the building to explore.
