They gave their best to honor the Creator and we're so lucky to see the results of their blessed efforts to this day.

One of the most renowned historical sight and Catholic cathedral in Czech Republic - St Mary Basilica in Velehrad. Worthy to pay pilgrimage. The sight is connected to St Cyril and St Methodius monk brothers who spread Christmasy in the 9th century. Great weekend getaway destination.easy to get here with a bus. There are coffee shops, souvenirs and tourist center nearby.

Absolutely beautiful church. There's an icon of Mary, the Uniter of Christians in a chapel behind and to the left of the sanctuary. It's an important pilgrimage site and a must-see when you're in the area.

Very nice basilica, the interior is excellent and beautiful, just like the exterior. It is a fully functional amd working church with nuns and praying people. Very authentic. It is in a settlement with 1200 inhabitants so this church is way bigger than it would be needed. But I am glad it is here because it is beautiful.

Overwhelming old but well-preserved Basilica of Assumption of Mary and Saint Cyrillus and Methodius with breathtaking sound of organ during church mass or concerts. Around the church you can see the beautiful garden and statutes of saints. In nearby area is Stojan Gymnasium. I truly enjoyed my time here:)

An extremely beautiful and attractive place to communion with God. Velehrad is the most important place of pilgrimage in Moravia and Czech Republic. St Cyril and Methodius, Byzantine Christian missionaries, came here in ninth century to bring Christianity, new alphabet to Slavonic people and culture.
