Excellent value for money hotel around the corner from the town train station and adjacent to the old town of Kutna Hora.

At this price point, it's incredible to get spacious, clean rooms, and with a view! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet (included in the nightly price) was very good.

The stay in this hotel was stunning.
The rooms were clean and good. So was the bathroom. All the red carpet gave an experience of luxury. The room had the cupboard and the coffee maker with cups. Something we rarely find in budget hotels these days. Services were amazing and staff was really supportive. The location of this place is excellent and all the tourist destinations are at a walkable distance.

Comfortable, history-inspired experience with wellness. Overall we were very happy and enjoyed our time in the hotel.

Our favourites were:
The beer spa.
The breakfast scrambled eggs with onion.
The rooster waking us up in the morning.
The friendly, quick working staff with a sense of humour.
The tastefully "medieval" furnishing of the room.
The "cut" beer (řezané), so skillfully tapped at the bar.

There are small things that could be improved:
The spa time has to be booked ahead, which is difficult to plan on a city vacation.
The cleaning staff seems to miss a few spots, but overall the cleanliness was good.
The spare ribs in the medieval tavern were dry and a very small portion - all other meals we had were tasty.
There is an excellent coffee machine at the bar, yet the breakfast coffee comes out of a sad instant coffee thing next to it.

This was a great hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. Slight trouble with the language barrier, but they spoke English well enough that we got through it.
Breakfast buffet was free. It was as good if not better than other hotels that charge extra.
The restaurant was inviting and the staff there did an excellent job as well. Food was delicious and plentiful. Prices were good.
GPS takes you to the back side of the hotel. There is a parking lot for hotel guests.
I definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant. My only request would be a couple of extra coffee pods in the room.

Nice place with great restaurant and excellent Pilsner beer.
The rooms are nice and cleen. Food is always well prepared and even Vegan people can choose from the menu.
If yoy like Saunas you can enjoy a nice sauna afternoon.

Charming place, private parking, clean room, good food. Easy walk to historical part of Kutna Hora.

Great service. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a coffee machine even available. Hot food for breakfast is a great start to any day and this place did well. The restaurant menu was tasty and filling.

Hotel U Kata*** is situated on the edge of the historic center of Kutna Hora, where the medieval town walls were located and which parts had been preserved until today as so-called Hangman’s Gate which was the only place hangman could enter the town and do what he wa supposed to. After this story the facility was named as well – hotel U Kata (Hangman’s hotel). Only few steps away are places which were sign to UNESCO World Heritage List because of their architectural beauty.
