CASA DANIELA

We stayed two nights with Daniela. It was a cut above the average casa. She was super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fab, there was a fridge with water and beer (using an honesty system for payment), the roof terrace was fantastic for sunsets, the pool was kitschy fun and oh so refreshing. Daniela organised bike hire for us too and when her place was full she organised another great casa with her neighbour and let us continue to use the pool. Deserves the excellent reputation!

Very nice casa. Daniel and Ariadna are very nice and helpful people. Rooms are big, nice and clean. Excellent breakfast. I really recommend this casa.

Estuvimos solamente una noche, pero la estancia fue estupenda. La habitación estaba impoluta, las camas eran cómodas y contaba con aire acondicionado.
El desayuno es opcional, nosotros lo tomamos y la verdad es que muy completo.
Daniela fue muy agradable con nosotros y se mostró muy servicial. Además se encargó de avisar a un guía para hacer una excursión en el parque nacional (precio aparte) así como de reservarnos unas bicis (precio aparte) para el día siguiente.
La excursión fue increíble, completísima y con unos guías encantadores. Es algo que todo el mundo debería hacer.
En resumen, muy recomendable.

We stayed at Casa Daniela for 3 nights we had a room with 2 double beds. It is far above other asking prices in other casas. Host was friendly and explained where everything is including the local bank. The pool is nice and refreshing break from the midday sun.

Breakfast is $5 per person. You get more than you can eat however the quality of food is not great however this is just due to the lack of quality food in cuba. First day we managed to have eggs the next day no eggs available and some fruit, cakes biscuits. They only have burger buns as bread so no sliced bread was available. I’d advise going out for breakfast locally or if you are lucky enough to bring your own cereal bars to have this.

The room itself I disagree with the price. We stayed in other casas across cuba which were nicer/cleaner room and paid much less. We felt the shower was a bit grimy.

We were also advised for a local guy to come in and explain the excursions around Viñales. However the price for the tours from this guy are far higher than booking in a local store. His price was $50 per person on average for a guided horse tour, as the travel/tours shop was only $15 for the tour by horse. I’d ensure all tours are booked at the local shop in town.

Electricity regular cuts out due to the ongoing fuel crisis so be prepared to be without aircon some days.

Da Daniela troverete una stanza pulita, un complesso ottimamente arredato con tanto di piscina e buonissima colazione.
Da Daniela troverete anche un costante tentativo di fregarvi: vi verranno proposte gite a cavallo a 40 euro, quando nel resto di Vinales costano 15, cercaranno di darvi pesos per euro ad un cambio estramamente svantaggioso, vi propineranno biciclette a 10 euro invece che a 5 e la proprietaria si mostrerà infinitamente scocciata e scontrosa nel caso in cui decidiate di rifiutare queste "allettanti proposte".
