Blau Arenal Habana Beach Hotel

It's a family hotel. The best choice to have a good time with friends or family. Near Havana (25 minutes) Perfect place and amazing scenery around the hotel (the lagoon, the mangrove and a lot of birds) The Beach is so beautiful, quite and private. Comfortable rooms. Food is fine. Very friendly staff (Pablo is outstanding) you need any help? That's your man! Everyone is helpful and attentive. Entertainment is so good in the afternoons. Never miss the Cuban day on Fridays and master chef for kids on Saturdays.

Wonderful experience!!! Our stay was pleasant and we had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and always trying to make our stay much better. The hotel is in general good , clean , and love the decoration. We had the best cocktails ever . frank was our bartender every time we went to the beach we stop at the bridge to try a new drink . Maidolys help me to decorated our room for my babe’s birthday. Thank you to all! Highly recommended it !!!

Hotel Manager Miguel is a very nice guy always ready to help. He does everything to provide better food and service. In This hotel they always give you water in 500ml plastic bottles in bars and in buffet. Coffee Cortadito is very nice. If buffet you can eat fresh fish right from ocean, it's cool. Food is good. Beach is Stony but in front of hotel Atlantic is very good 2km. You can order lobster or fish right on the beach Atlantic. Guanabo is close, you can go to the club or have hair cut or whatevs. Go a bit right from the beach pass a river kind water ask George in a small beach booth and he will help with everything. Chino was our driver we became friends. Was a nice experience

I stayed here a few years ago on my second visit to the country. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

The rooms were tidy, had everything I needed.

The buffet was good. I'm vegan and I was able to eat things straight from the buffet without having to ask for special meals. Lots of fruit in the mornings.

The staff were lovely. I was traveling on my own, so when I was having dinner and breakfast staff would ask if I wanted company and they would sit with me and we'd converse. Really lovely people!

My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas and new year. Everything was perfect, food, hotel staff and location. The only problem we had was, time went to fast and wish we were there longer.

This is such a great resort. The staff are the best. Their food is really good. Excellent drinks. Lovely beach and pool. And it is close enough to Havana for easy day trips to one of the most amazing cultural experiences of the world. This makes it ideal, especially when travelling with children.

Excellent hotel! Stayed with family for a wedding and couldn't have been better treated. Very spacious rooms. The attention of Nubia Morales and Lilian Perez was amazing! They do know what customer service means and are always making sure hotel is running properly and guests are happy. Thank you both and all the staff for such unforgettable stay. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone aiming for a good time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The beach was beautiful and the food was great! The one aspect that really made our trip memorable were the Cuban entertainment staff - Mandy, Michele, Maribel, MariMar, Dayami, Carlos and Oswaldo. They enthusiastically brought the Cuban culture to every daily activity they hosted. This was really important given the seclusion of the resort. They made it possible to enjoy the Cuban experience without having to leave. They were professional, friendly and extremely inclusive, taking into consideration every guest’s experience. We were welcomed every morning with a smile and a kiss on the cheek. They taught us how to dance, make mojitos and play dominoes. They tried hard -and succeeded- to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable to participate. They were like family. It was disappointing to not see more guests attend the cultural night they hosted in the theatre. This performance was amazing - the music, the dancing and singing. It was the best show of the week. I understand that this is a primarily Italian resort, and we were definitely grateful for the Italian food, but the truth is, we were in Cuba and if not for these entertainment staff, I feel we would have missed out on the best memories of our trip. Beds are wide, single beds are 130cm and there are 2 in the room. We pushed those together and easily fit to sleep with two kids. All-in is good option, good variety of food in buffee served three times and snack bar is always open. All kind of drinks are always available. Lateck-out costs 20cuc and they allowed us to stay until 7pm. Pool is big and child friendly, we had one 3yo and one side of pool was exactly for him. Beach is 100m walk via wooden bridge, sand is clean. Beach has free sunbeds, we had big waves, lifeguard on duty. From beach, a horse-taxi always waits and takes you to close village and back, cost 5cuc one way.

It is our second year at this hotel and what a delight. There were a few glitches that were solved. The strong points of this place are the super fresh and delicious food. The hotel belongs to an Italian company and it shows. Large pool, decent entertainement (all in Italian though) and very nice surrounding.. not a motel on a highway like you would find in Miami. Multilingual personel and 24 hour bar are nice features. To be honest it is a 4 STAR hotel but here we do not rate the hotel but traveler's experience and considering the price paid the hotel delivers on all counts for that price in the USA or Canada you'd get a shack alongside a highway. Well worth it. This place is for people who will be fine with an ok but not great beach and are looking to be close to Havana. Others should prefer Varadero.

I stayed 7 nights at Bravo Club Hotel Arenal with my boyfriend and it was such a nice vacation. There was a wide range of dishes if you like homemade pastas, rice/risotto, fishes, chicken, pork, beef, grilled steak, seafood, salads and fresh fruits (papaya, pineapple, orange, grapefruit). If you don't mind noise and loud music, rooms close to the pool will fit you. Otherwise you should ask to be far from the pool as we asked and it was a good decision. The free shuttle to Havana is a must if you want to enjoy this unique city full of life, there are departures Thursdays to Sundays from 10am to 4pm. If you like excursions and don't want to spend much time in the city, there are half-day guided tours for about 45 CUC per person including the shuttle, a guide in your language and lunch in the city. Walking on the beach at sunrise is like heaven and it's nice to swim in the sea early as waves tend to be strong during the day. If you want to enjoy a deck chair in the afternoon, I suggest you put a beach towel on it early in the morning to reserve it as it's very crowdy after lunch. Instead of paying 20 CUC to go snorkeling with the hotel's catamaran (20 minutes) locals recommended me Bacuranao beach . It is such a nice coral bay with reef, fishes and even a stranded boat at the end of the bay. As every time I visit Cuba, I brought gifts, clothes and goods to give to the maids, gardeners and locals met outside of the resort. Mario the barman and other staff members made our vacation perfect.

Very nice hotel big pool and the beach is beautiful adjacent to a river which makes a nice playground for kids.
