The resort was small and quiet. A perfect place to relax. The weather was beyond perfect - warm and sunny. Entertainment staff Michael and Angie made us feel like family and ensured we could have the full resort experience. Cook Yunior made exceptional omelettes and was quick with sandwiches and fries at the pool side snack bar. Such an amazing experience and will definitely go back if not just to see the staff again. The views from the rooms are stunning however there were some large water puddles after the rain storm

I give this hotel 5 stars based on the price I paid and the service I got in return. When coming to this resort keep in mind that it's not a 5 stars hotel, this is a hotel for travelers in a budget wanting to spend some time at the beautiful beach, having a clean room and an average cuban meal. The beach is perfect for kids as there are no waves at all. Employees at this resort deserve a million stars. Thanks to all of you, specially Alexandro from the Buffet, thanks so much!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Communication was not a problem. There was continues activities, for all ages. I will be going again. Excellent hotel. The food was hot and most of the grilling was done as you requested so always hot. Always something cold to drink. Bar was always open. Going with the family in May.

I have been to Cuba 6 times and always had a wonderful time but this resort, OMG. The vibe here is FANTASTIC, The people, The Staff. Everything was on point. The staff are always willing to help you no matter what. Any issues were dealt with right away. The Staff are very attentive. Making sure you are happy and no issues.
I loved the resort because of the people. It made my trip to be Amazing, more than any others, and I have been to a few, all ranging in stars.
The food was good, its not the ritz but its food, don't forget where you are. They had some wonderful dinners. The al a cartes were wonderful.
The Entertainment was amazing. Always something going on.
Horseback riding right on the resort, go to the towel hut to arrange it..LOVED this.
Made a birthday cake for me and sang to me, so sweet.
The grounds were gorgeous, always well kept. The gardeners were always hard at work.
The security were always there to keep you safe but also to laugh with.
The maids were wonderful. Keeping the rooms very clean, as well as the property.

I can not say enough about this resort.
The atmosphere at this resort is Fantastic.
All the Staff are wonderful.
The bar staff, The gardners, maids, security, management..so on.
They all take pride in there jobs.

The beach was well kept. Gorgeous
The pools was always clean.

Can the resort use an update, of course. With the salt air, it will do damage but I think overall, this resort is in pretty great shape.
Loved the size of the resort as well, it was prefect.

I took quite a bit of care packages for ALL the staff, as the maids get from every room, day in and day out, so share the wealth and they are oh so Thankful.
They need toiletries, toys for children, candies as these items are very expensive for them. They are appreciative for any.

I can not wait to go back.
I loved this resort.

I stayed at the hotel in May and it was such a wonderful experience. The friends I made will last a lifetime and for that, I’ll forever be grateful. The animators Maikel, and Mia were outstanding and made me feel so welcomed. Seeing their bright smiles made me never want to leave. The kitchen staff was exceptional as well, Elvis the bartender is an amazing man who will make your trip as amazing as mine. Yunior never failed to make me laugh and always cooked a great meal. The entire staff was wonderful and I’m lucky to have met everyone I did.

Love this resort now the Starfish. I have been to Cuba 14x, 5x to this resort. The beach is fantastic and the staff and service phenomenal. Love the layout of the resort, can't wait to go back.

I’m giving this hotel 5 stars even though there are a few cons. It’s listed as a three to four star hotel and in reality it’s no more than 3. But...it doesn’t pretend to be so can’t blame them for that. The accommodations are just ok and they are rebuilding as best they can after Irma. The food is so so. I wouldn’t bother trying the restaurants. Bring peanut butter and hot sauce.

All that being said, 50% of the guests are there for the beach and the kiting. For that, it is second to none. The spot is incredible!!! If you are learning to kite this is a dream spot. Close, cheap and everything you need to improve your riding.

Internet is horrible. Bring plenty to watch on a tablet and only eat cooked veggies. Stay away from the fruit and raw veg.

Overall will definitely go back there.

First of all, I would like to say that the view, landscape and the beach are all fantastic.
The the food is actually really good. I did not go hungry in the entire week that I spent there.
I think you really get your money's worth with everything that the hotel offers.
The hotel room is good (needs some updating) but I know that they are currently updating it anyways because they have been painting and fixing the structures. Overall, its not bad and its even quite beautiful.
The hotel staff are the heart of this establishment. They are all so nice and kind and very welcoming. Some staff the stood out to me the most is Micheal from entertainment. He really cares for the people and does his job well. The afternoon games, beach parties and nightly entertainment are really fun and entertaining. Another staffs that stood out are Yulia and Rosie from cocktail bar and ala carte restaurant. They are really nice and always have a smile on their faces. They are very hardworking and respectful. Lastly, was the older gentleman that works in landscape --(i forgot his name but he always waters the plants)-- he is amazing and he is such a sunshine.

This place is Amazing in every way. We stayed in the Bungalow area and it couldn't have beenore perfect. So quiet, relaxing, clean, friendly service and the dining room staff were the best I have ever encountered! Food eas the best I ever had in Cuba!
Cesar, Eddwin, Nizar were the management that made sure every detail of our 2 week vacation was perfect. Our maid Marisol was phenomenal and had such a great sense of humor decorating with our towels each day.
The resort and beach is amazingly clean with new loungers and walkways.
The maintenance staff work constantly to upgrade and improve the resort . New lighting and plumbing were being upgraded while we were there. It was great to see safety features always seen to quickly.
We will definitely be back as this is our Home away from Home. Our forever paradise.
We won't be flying Sunwing however as they gave us the worse service we ever encountered. #sunwingsucks

Just got back from two weeks kiteboarding and I absolutely loved this place!
The staff was beyond nice and felt like family.
I also enjoyed the accommodations. Instead of small hotel rooms with hallways we each had our own little “mini villas (separate bungalows that each contain two hotel rooms with private patios) right close to the beach.
Cesar, the general manager has done an incredible job of making a basic three star,resort feel like a five star!
Also the entertainment was over the top! Live music, rock bands, and water shows put much more expensive resorts I’ve been to, to shame.
I don’t wish to oversell this resort (the food is good but by no means gourmet lol) and the rooms need an update ( coming this year we are told) but if you are looking for an awesome place to learn kiteboarding (or just to chill) then this amazing value resort, can’t be beat!

We stayed here from April 7th to the 15th
The staff was amazing simply amazing.. Yes the resort needs some TLC but I’ve learned that Canadians will never be 100% happy.. The food is basic, but the fish and lobster was delicious.. I want to thank Mia, Michael, Niuler, Reynier, Blanco, Yunior and the entire staff.. who made our stay one of a kind!!! We already want to come back!! The beaches are beautiful, You get what you pay for so it’s up to you to make your experiences amazing.. Thanks guys!!!

Beautiful white sandy beaches and palm trees. Friendly people and atmosphere. Place for a whole family to enjoy Cuban hospitality. Kiteboarders love this place for a endless flat waters. Definitely will come back for more.

My husband and I spent 7 days at this resort and absolutely loved it . The whole experience was amazing ;food, environment, staff, everything! Planning on going back as soon as this pandemic eases off a little .

I had the good fortune to stay at the CCG between February 13-28. This was my first time at an all-inclusive place and I must say I was very satisfied. I had traveled nearly all over the, probably over 40 countries, so I was hesitant to go all-inclusive. What a pleasant surprise!

The food was good, the service excellent, the rooms clean and the beach amazing. Both Cezar and Nisser are helpful and friendly but your "go-to-guy" is Alex and he'll help you with anything. (I called Alex the General because he's everywhere "on the battlefield" and solves problems.)

I would highly recommend this place whether you are singles, couples, groups or families.

If you go please do not forget to give a few dollars here and there to everybody, they highly appreciate it.

It is rated 3 star but it is truly a wonderful resort. The staff are amazing. We stayed 7 days and we were never bored. Can't wait to return

Remember, this is one of the lowest cost resorts, so you can't compare it to the resort that you paid twice as much for. Keep your expectations low, and you won't be disappointed. You will even be surprised how nice this place is if you come in with an open mind. Yes, the place is older and a bit run down. But that's from all the hurricanes they keep experiencing. Some things in the room don't work, but they are very quick to resolve your issue. The staff are super friendly, even the ones who can't speak English. The food selection changes from day to day. The shows are entertaining at night. They do close the restaurants, not 24 hours, but you adapt. Again this is $100's of dollars per person cheaper than anything 3 star. They do run out of dishes, just don't go when everyone else goes to eat. Again, adapt to the situation. People are quick to complain about everything they don't like, but remember this is not a 1st world country, and you did cheap out and find the cheapest 3 star. For the price I paid, it was well beyond what I expected.

It's not the most high end or modern resort, but the workers are very friendly, and it has an almost rustic type of feel to it.

Such kind friendly people and I have a head injury and I get confused very easily and they would walk me back to my room and then guide me around the place 🙂 😊 and I can't wait to go back

We have been to this hotel many times the staff are always friendly and kind the maids are always cleaning the rooms I know this hotel is old but it definitely needs some work

Nice place due to the workers making it an amazing experience. Pool and beach is beautiful and the food is good!
