Restaurante Inspira

This was one of the best meals we had in Costa Rica, and certainly the best in La Fortuna. The food was modern with local flavors, the service was exceptional, and the restaurant itself was lovely. I would highly recommend Restaurante Inspira. Special shout-out to our server, Jefry, who was formerly a local guide and gave us lots of tips.

We had the pleasure to have lunch and dinner at Inspira last week. Both times we had Maribel as our waitress and she was perfect. We first got there looking at the menu, my daughter wanted Quesadillas but they didn't have that on the menu but Maribel convinced us that the food was great there and we decided to try it and we booked for dinner as well because we really liked the food and atmosphere.

Located on the opposite side of the park, Inspira stands out with its modern decor and chic lighted towers.

The menu looked fantastic - one of those places that you think, "I could order anything and everything on the menu and be happy." And that's what we basically did!

We started with the ceviche and grilled octopus - fresh and flavorful. Then, I had the fish fillet with banana and curry sauce. I thought it was an interesting choice of flavors, but I went with it! I am so glad I did; it was one of the most delicious sauces I have ever had. Everyone at the table agreed it was amazing. We also had the baked chicken and the spinach and feta ravioli. Everything was fantastic. No one could decide what was best, it was all so good!

We finished up with the roasted pumpkin dessert. It was like eating the lightest pumpkin filling you could possibly imagine, but oh so, so, so delicious!

Cocktails were also ON POINT! Perfect after a day of sight-seeing.

Marco provided us with top-notch service, answering all of our questions and offering suggestions. All of the servers were polite and friendly, and happy to help us through the meal. The whole experience was on par with a fabulous and trendy restaurant in any big city - all in the heart of sweet La Fortuna. As you can see by the pictures, the presentation of the food was stunning.

I feel so lucky we choose to eat there! I literally could've have eaten there every night! When we come back to CR, Inspira will definitely be a "must stop here."

The experience is "fine dining" but the price is very reasonable. I hope you decide to visit!

Wonderful experience! We had a late lunch/early dinner on the patio, nice view of the park & volcano. Off season and not typical time for full meal. Yet service was beyond excellent, food was fresh and fast. Nice twist on Costa Rican fusion! Waiter had great suggestions. We ordered a second round of the empanadas, SO good. High end experience in a comfortable casual atmosphere.

Perfect dinner! Food was great and of high quality and taste, we enjoyed our time here and we were more than happy with the veggie options. Our waiter Ronald was really kind

By far one of the freshest and most flavourful lunches we’ve had in Costa Rica! Absolutely worth the trip and our waitress Maribel was fantastic!

I would like to thank the staff at Inspira for making our night absolutely amazing..it was literally Pura Vida!!!my favourite has to be the octopus..cooked to perfection...and oh...the snapper dish was excellent...the staff were welcoming and accommodating and made us feel special... cannot say enough about Inspira, cheers guys for a wonderful dinner experience !!!!!! 👍 😊

We have always had a wonderful experience at Inspira. Delicious food, great wine and amazing service are reasons why we keep going back. We love to sit and watch the town come to life. Great location right beside the Catholic Church.

We really enjoyed our food and wine. The staff was very friendly and even offered insight for where we should visit in Costa Rica. I appreciated that there were several vegetarian options to choose from!

Delicious food! You can tell the chef here is well trained and knows gastronomy. Would definitely recommend if you happen to stop by La Fortuna.

Maribel was a delightful host for our anniversary dinner at Restaurant Inspira, very helpful and attentive throughout. She helped us create our own taster menu that we shared.
We recommend the pitcher of sangria that was a sweet and refreshing accompaniment to our empanadas (please get both the corn based and the sweet plantain based patties), a fun Tico twist on the Argentinian classic. The Gallos De Dona Maria was a very innovative way to showcase local ingredients, the heart of palm and green papaya really popped off the plate and the corn tortillas were fresh and wholesome. A lot of respect goes to the chef's grandmother who inspired this dish.
Finally the star of the show was the delicious white fish with curried banana sauce. Perfectly cooked meaty flesh and a complex fruity sauce and queso oozing from the mash potatoes.
We felt very comfortable and welcomed throughout our stay and the restaurant was a very inviting visual experience, with a minimalist open plan design and an array of unique baskets hanging from the ceiling.
We definitely recommend it for any formal or indeed casual occasion. Inspira is a resounding éxito!

We we walked past this place on our way to chocolate fusion and just looking at the decor we knew it likely to be a very interesting place to eat so we came back and had dinner. Food here is delicious and the service is terrific. We had the ceviche and a large salad as well as a chicken plate all of which were extremely good. They're located on the opposite side of the park directly across the street and it's very worth the short walk to get here. Most of the shopping on the other side of the park here is less expensive than on the main street so it's a great place to walk around.

This place is amazing❤ the food was incredible and the service was great! We were a party of 8 and they took great care of us. The pasta was so good and the steak was perfectly cooked. The drinks and the vibe were great as well, hoping to come back soon!

Definitely the best meal we had in La Fortuna. The food and ambiance were great and the quality of the service was noted. Highly recommend.

Amazing fusion ravioli- pumpkin based sauce, filled w pesto and cashews, over/ arugula. Probably not tasted anything better!!!

This place is amazing ! You must stop here, the staff was quick and the food was delicious. Next to the central plaza - great atmosphere, wonderful music, a nice calm place to bring friends or the whole family.

Our food was amazing! I definitely recommend the place. Our waiters were really good, and spoke great English. Nice atmosphere, outdoor covered seating with some mood lighting. Near plenty of shopping if that is your thing.

There’s no shortage of restaurants in La Fortuna, so it can be challenging looking through the list of restaurants and choosing one. I’m very glad we ended up settling on Inspira. We reserved a table on OpenTable - which was nice as some of the times the restaurants in La Fortuna could be pretty busy. Our waiter Marcos was perfect - very attentive but allowed us to eat dinner without interruptions. The flatbread w/ shrimp made for an easy appetizer to share. Would also highly recommend the grilled picanha to split - cooked to perfection and more than enough to eat. Plenty of excellent cocktails to choose from as well. And then the desserts were excellent to round out the meal (we chose the pumpkin foam and chocolate cake which I would highly recommend both).

This is definitely a fine dining experience and the price reflects that. But it made for an incredibly enjoyable evening out in La Fortuna.

Great food and great service! Sharon was very sweet and made great recommendations for us! Would certainly dine here again!
