This was such a great surprise to find on our way to Catarata del Toro. Delicious specialty coffee prepared by a friendly barista.

We went there on a Friday afternoon only to find the cafe closed while the owner’s family were still around. At first, the owner told us to come back next day but he then asked us if “Americano ok”? Due to language barrier, we thought he decided to open his shop for us. The owner also brought us pastries without us asking and made sure we knew it was on him. After enjoying our coffees and treats on the front porch of the cafe, we finally realized he offered all of these for free. Truly amazing people and host. Oh, we still paid him in the end!

Excellent place for coffee around Sarchi. It is a small coffee shop that caught our attention because of the furniture they had outside. To our surprise, the owner was a very talented barista with a great passion for coffee. We practically received a coffee experience with detailed information about the coffee we drank, the different type of methods to brew coffee and the source of the coffee beans. This is basically a hidden gem for every coffee lover.

El café que Gian Carlo prepara es todo una experiencia sensorial!!

Nos hospedamos en la cabina que él tiene a un costado de la cafetería, y por lo tanto tuvimos mucho tiempo para conversar con él e inclusive con su esposa… Lindísimas personas!!

Él se tomó el tiempo de explicarnos el proceso de hacer una buena taza de café, nos lo preparó en nuestra mesa y fue todo una experiencia!!

Estábamos de aniversario de bodas y él nos regaló una muestra de café Geisha para preparar en nuestra casa.

Si andan por la zona y quieren probar un gran café, No se van a arrepentir de parar en este lugar 🤗
