Amazing cozy store and cafe to have an awesome tasting opportunity of local chocolates.

They offer a few different pairing options, a selection of different chocolates that can be paired with the option of coffee, beer, rum, or just a degustation platter.

The people working there are awesome and will explain each product and what to expect from it, as well as tips on how to make it pair even better.

Definitely recommend this place to have some local chocolate tasting from the whole region.

Also you will have a chance to buy any of your favorite chocolates and also book a tour to some of the plantations which offer this service.

So cool! We love this concept. We have been twice already. Love the Azteca chocolate and the vegan hot chocolate. We have tried several chocolate bars and they've all been delicious. Definitely gonna go back for the pairings favorite bar so far: chocorart

I can recommend the iced coffee with cacao. Just delicious. It’s also easily the best smelling room I’ve ever been in

Really nice experience/taste/buy concept here..Interior is small, but clean and really nice and simple decorated and was always full with people coming by, drinking and tasting or getting their to-go drinks. Staff is welcoming and kind. Everything offered here seems to be local or regional. We were here for coffee, i had latte and my husband esspresso. The coffee was one of the best we tasted in a coffee bar so we came back again to enjoy this unique flavour we felt. We bought also a few small chocolates for gifts. I recommend this little gem as a must visit in Puerto Viejo to every coffee and chocolate fun.

Who would ever think to pair Rum & Chocolate ? When In Costa Rica and you’re looking for something different to do this experience is the one ! You can choose the rum & chocolate tasting or the rum & wine . We chose rum & chocolate .

This experience is super affordable you’re looking at $30 per person for the rum & chocolate and the price is slightly cheaper for the wine & rum pairing tasting .

They start off by explaining the process presented to you is 3 different aged rums but the same brand , & they pair each one with a chocolate . This chocolate literally melted in your mouth and I definitely had a favorite.

When over you have the option to purchase any thing you tried along with others inside the store .

One more 5/5 place in town centre! I went there with my boyfriend just because we liked the exterior style and the terrace of this place. From the moment of entering their kind assistants offered us some pieces of chocolate to try. They also offered us to tell stories about local chocolate producers that they work with.

The concept of the place and the way that owners made it real is just beautiful. They know what they’re doing and as a person who used to work with tourists here in PV – I was always recommending this place and never received any low feedback.

I’m really ready to say that it’s the best spot for coffee in PV. Yes, the prices are a bit high (as everywhere in this town), but here at least you understand why it is so valuable.

Absolutely divine experience, very educated team members on chocolate, wine and rum. Make sure to reserve your spots in advance. Enjoy the community table inside or private small tables outside. Will come back again.

Wonderful place to hang out, work from (fast internet) and enjoy the best of Costa Rica's cacao products like yummy chocolate and cacao tea and even local beer.
The staff is wonderful: very loving and knowledgeable about all things local cacao.
I love coming back here and to work from here or just sit around and read a book.

Excellent and fun experience!! We booked our beer tasting with airbnb and they welcomed us very friendly. They even gave us a costa rican wine tasting and halved a cacao fruit for us to try fresh and raw. Really amazing experience to do in Puerto Viejo, whether it’s raining or not. All chocolate is also vegan and local from the farms nearby!

The place is a local chocolate store that sells in a fare trade way amazing cacao productos from the Talamanca region.
They have so many options with so many flavors that it’s difficult to decide what to get.
The place is beautiful, designed by one of the owners that happens to be a graphic designer!
They also sell coffee, local beers and rums, and they match this drinks with the perfect chocolate.
Be sure to get the tasting chocolate and coffee! Superb options.

Amazing experience! We did the coffee and chocolate tasting experience and it was absolutely worth it! Loved learning about all of the different ways the chocolates were made and ended up buying a bunch of chocolates to take back with us.

The only place where you can find chocolate from 10 different farms all in one place! They support only local cacao farmers in the 35 km radius by selling their chocolate products and have lots of information about each farm. You can have a chocolate tasting plate and compare chocolates from different farms, have it as a drink, pair it with wine or beer (they know exactly which chocolate pairs best with each drink), or book a cacao farm tour through them.
The two guys that opened the place know everything there is to know about the local farms and chocolate making, they basically are an information center for local chocolate!
They also have good wifi and all the info is in English, Spanish, and French.

We accidentally found this lovely place. After we were warmly welcome we gave the chocolate coffee tasting a try. We absolutely loved it. The chocolate was really really good and special! Nothing you can buy in a regular supermarket. The coffee was perfect. My boyfriend had a hot one with dairy milk and me a cold one with oat milk. Both very nice. They also provide chocolate/ beer or rum tastings. Definitely do! Even if you just want a good coffee!
