Lots of vegan options! They also have plant based milks like coconut, almond and oat. The coffee is delicious too but the bowls are YUMMY! Highly recommend dragon fruit bowl and smoothie, Pink Power.

Vegan options for breakfast are bowls, bagel with hummus/avocado. Lunch they have bowls. Wasn't open on Tuesday.

a cute small cafe/breakfast place right next to the best part of the playa in puerto viejo.
A lot of healthy and yummy options (including vegan, gluten free). We came here twice for breakfast. I would recommend the dragon bowl and the cold coconut water. A nice place to just chill, enjoy the beach and read/scroll through the phone? :) the staff was very polite and friendly. Would come here again.

We stopped here just for a quick coffee and small bite to eat before a tour we were starting. Only had about 30 minutes to eat. We ordered 2 cappuccinos and the Dragon Bowl. The coffee was okay, came out too cold but the dragon bowl was delicious. A lot of fresh fruit with yogurt and granola. If we had more time we would have loved to come back for a bigger meal.

We absolutely loved having brunch here that we had to visit multiple times during our trip.
I was not a big fan of their coffee, but their rice bowls and smoothies were great!

The staff were also so nice and accommodating 🩷

First off the place is adorable! The service is amazing. Been here a few times and every time I get immediately greeted with the friendliest staff! I’ve had both breakfast and lunch here, and the food is always perfect! You get a lot of food, and the prices are definitely lower when compared to the other restaurants nearby. Just about everything here is healthy! I don’t know what else to say except how much I love it here! They also have great coffee. You have to come here!

This place is so good that we came for 3 days in a row. The avocado toast is our favorite but everything we ordered was amazing and beautifully presented.

Easily the best breakfast in town.

The plates are made with love and slightly cheaper than in the other restaurants. The coffee is also very delicious and strong and the waiters and owners are very kind. I had the vegan gallo pinto and it kept me full all day. Don’t miss it!

This might be my top spot for lunch/breakfast in the beautiful Puerto Viejo. The food is so fresh and the service is welcoming.

The smoothies and vegan options are consistently good and you can tell that the dishes are created with care.

We ate here daily. You won’t be disappointed at BWW.

(They have fans in the dining area but please keep in mind this is an outside venue near the beach so expect the Costa Rica heat and bugs.)

This is my new favorite breakfast place. I love their food. The food is presented beautifully, there's a lot of it. I got the sampler platter which was one egg, one strip of bacon, one piece of French toast, and one pancake. With fruit. It was $11 it was gorgeous I ate half of it and I was stuffed everything on the plate was fantastic. My husband got The eggs and toast platter which came with bacon and sausage as well. It is the best place in town for an iced chai tea latte. They do cold coffee really well in Puerto Viejo. So far I've only found two or three places that do iced chai tea lattes. This is the only place that I found that doesn't blended. They this is not chai liquid flavoring. This is a real-made chai tea. The spices are still in it as it's been blended. You can taste the anise, the cardamom it's amazing.... I cannot say enough about this place it was delish I've been there twice now and I can't wait to go back.

Also we did not order the fruit plate but someone next to us did... And it looked like a meal unto itself. It was beautifully presented and it was huge. It looks so delicious

A fellow traveller in San Jose told us about bread what what so when we got to Puerto Viejo we had to try it out.
It is simply great. The food is excellent, reasonably priced and beautifully presented. The service is great and you can see that the whole team that work there enjoy being there.
I think we ate there 3 times in 8 days and should have eaten there 8 times, as it was by far the best place we found.

The cutest cafe EVER, right on the beach:) the chicken spinach crepe came with a heavenly cheese inside and an amazing spicy sauce on the side. We watched them make our fresh smoothies, and they poured the extra in a little coconut!! Will definitely make the trip again:)

This place is not only “Insta-friendly” but the breakfast we had was just amazing. We ordered Acai bowl, Gallo Pinto and Rice Bowl and all were delicious. They have a really good service too. Maybe just a small detail; but you will get your drink with another small glass so that you can start drinking and you do not destroy the main - nicely served - glass before you get your meal.

Stopped here for coffee and a cake on a walk through the Puerto Viejo town.
This is a really good spot for a snack and refreshments in Puerto Viejo.
The banana bread here is the best I have had in my entire life without a doubt.
We also had two smoothies which were really delicious.
Service here was warm and friendly.

We had breakfast here and really loved it! Super delicious and decorated with love. Unfortunately the noises from the street are a bit annoying

Lively cafe on the main street. Had 2 coffees, banana cake, chocolate cake. Excellent. And I love the bilingual joke in the name… Google Translate doesn’t know what “queque” is and translates it as “what what”. It’s plain cake in Costa Rica - as opposed to a decorated “gateau” type of cake (“pastel”). So the cafe is “Bread Cake” - and it does them really well - and pokes fun at Google at the same time.

My girfriend and me visited this place, while spending some time in Puerto Viejo, for some breakfast. Well i have to say, that i had like the best vegan Gallo Pinto in my whole Costa Rica trip. Well not just that, but all the rest of the food was very delicious, the juices and smoothies are really good and fresh and the services was on point. Wifi was no working for that moment, but who needs this, if you have that good food.
