La Junta Dominical

The best food I've eaten in Costa Rica for sure! I have the Jerk Chicken Tacos with the most delicious marinated pineapple salsa and the exotic local salad. I was v blown away. The owner was there serving too and he was the most loveliest person with a real passion for his restaurant and food. I wish I could eat this food every day! Thank you

After a long day of hiking it was so much fun to go out for a great local dinner! The back patio felt quaint and lively. For drinks we ordered the Feelin Good Smoothie and a Mojito - they were both great! I had the Asian Salad and added jerk chicken. It had so many fresh herbs and was a large portion. We had ceviche to start and it was full of flavour and the best I’ve ever had. Totally recommend!

The best ceviche I’ve ever had!! Drinks were GORGEOUS and the owner took the time to sit with us, share some of his families journey and make us feel at home. 10/10 recommend!

We stumbled upon this place for a cocktail and so glad we did! The drinks are a work of art, garnished with beautiful fresh flowers. We went back and tried the food and it was some of the best we had in Dominical by far! Will always come back here on our trips to this awesome town.

Our favorite spot in Dominical! The patacones were so good we went back a second night just for them!!! All the food was delicious and the staff was very welcoming.

We’ve been huge fans of this place since it opened! The food, drinks, atmosphere, service and chefs make this our go to in Dominical! We haven’t had a dish we didn’t like or a cocktail we didn’t want more of… just the best! Soooo much heart and thought go in to everything this place does! The last time we went we where so busy eating, laughing and having a great time that we forgot to take pics. 🤣 Thank you to the staff at La Junta for being soooo amazing!

It’s the first place we came to eat after being away for a couple years, and we are so happy we found it! The food is amazing, with great quality ingredients & thoughtfully sourced. The service is prompt, the drinks always hit and we come back multiple times per week with the whole family because it is also affordable!!
So glad this place is here. It’s our go-to. The only place I recommend in Domi for high quality food at a great price!

I am from the US and have been to numerous sandwich shops in my short (although it feels like it’s been an eternity) lifetime, and this is by far the best place I have ever been to. Each sandwich was crafted to perfection and every ingredient was thoughtfully added to create a beautiful flavor combination. Please do yourself the kindness of stopping at this place if you find yourself in Dominical or driving through.

i usually hate sales pitches outside of a restaurant. if there's someone there trying to convince me to come in, i'm leaving.

the owner of this place, however, had me at "sustainability", "sourced locally" and "everything from scratch".

and, as we later found out, the sales pitch was not needed as the place was bursting with business. it stemmed from the sheer pride of what they do there.

and with good reason, the food was delicious, diverse and entertaining, the staff super fun and friendly despite being slammed with customers and the price is right too.

as we left we passed by the kitchen to say our thankyous, and the boys in there visibly had a blast.

High-quality food! This owner takes great pride in his food & especially the beef & you can tell. My husband had the DOMInator burger & it was so delicious that we came back the next night for drinks & decided to split another burger. The Asian salad is incredible! I had the Thai chicken sandwich, it was spicy but really good! The owner is very friendly & sat down with us the first night & chatted about his restaurant & life in Costa. The second night, we sat at the front of the building & it was fun to people watch. I drank the Mermosa elixir and the guys had beers. Thursday is happy hour drinks all day!! The staff & environment is really great, you'll love it here! Cheers. 🍻

Amazing food with fresh ingredients! The staff are really friendly and wonderful. We went back three times while we were in Dominical. We have small kiddos who loved it too. Our favorites were the Papi Carnes, Asian Salad, Thai chicken sandwich, and pork belly tacos! The drinks are really refreshing and delicious too! Strawberry lemonade was a fave.

Tucked away restaurant. We love the local cuisine, but this was a little different and we loved it. Fresh, local ingredients & joyful waitstaff. Highly recommend the cocktails, patacones, and bahn mi sandwich. Our kids were as happy as we were. Thank you, La Junta! Pura vida!

Literally the best restaurant I’ve been to in Costa Rica. Grass fed burgers and amazing margaritas. The service is amazing and every single meal delivers. I’ve had the grass fed farmhouse, burger, and the birria burrito! Just INCREDIBLEEEEEE . And well priced for the amount of food that you get. Just amazing food overall and the vibe is awesome. I would definitely be coming here over and over.

Amazing experience! Fantastic service and atmosphere. The drinks were an absolute work of art & the food was incredible! Highly recommend anyone staying in the area put La Junta on the top of their list of places to eat! Can’t wait to come back again!

Best Margarita's, awesome fries, great food, great and friendly service. Reasonably priced. Chill vibe, nice happy hours. Definitely worth a stop. Warning: might get addicted.

La Junta is an amazing restaurant where you can have a chill lunch, some drinks with a great atmosphere and music. The staff is extremely welcoming with a special care to their the customers which is alwayssss appreciated. The fish tacos, Birria tacos Hawaiian ceviche and buffalo sandwich (with the vegetarian option) were DELICIOUS. They have a happy hour from 3 to 5 pm daily and a full day of happy hour on Thursdays. They drink so amazing and strong but not too expensive. They are also very accommodating to any dietary restrictions, whether allergies or preferences. couldn’t recommend this place more. The owner is also really nice and will come up to you and talk and ask how you’re doing which is as always a good sign.

Great food, hot sauces for the wings are top shelf! Staff and service is 👌. Friendly, good vibes, good food. 🌺 Hibiscus salt margaritas are fire. Prices are fair and again, love the vibes, the staff, the food and the drinks! Thank you!

So delicious, so fast, and super responsive to my dietary restrictions making multiple adjustments. The Asian mushroom tacos were soooo good- that flavor! Multiple delish veg and vegan options. Sweet candle-lit back patio and garden. (I would have liked some non-American music, and at a lower volume, but that's just me.) Will absolutely be back.
