Cafe Mono Congo

GREAT BREAKFAST option! Went right as they opened and there was already a line. Wait time around 15 minutes. Staff were nice and friendly, spoke English. Food was great and filling! Noticed that the menu in-person does have some differences from the online ones, but overall good variety. We saw some iguanas while we were enjoying our breakfast and it was quite entertaining! Free water available. Good family-friendly environment. Highly recommend the burritos!!

Spent three days in Dominical and came here each day. It’s very central. Had Chicken Pita for lunch on the first day and it was pretty good. The coconut French toast for breakfast was delicious 🤤 and the passionfruit pie for dessert was by far my favourite. The staff are super friendly, and the view of the river is really peaceful. The Wi-Fi connection is excellent . It’s a great place for doing some work in a nice location while having a good coffee.

Leisurely service, delicious food (jalapeno cheddar scramble with tasty chicken sausage), and a great iced mocha. My friend had the coconut French toast and was raving about how yummy it was. She also enjoyed her mocha coffee drink (hot).

Riverside breakfast and coffee. I had the gringo burrito and I was not sorry. I have never eaten chicken sausage before. The restaurant has an extremely relaxed vibe and the staff was very accommodating. I would imagine that I would spend a lot of time at this place if I lived in Dominical. Great place to get some work done while enjoying fantastic coffee.

It’s a very good priced restaurant on the beach. It was very busy and it took us a second to find seats, but that wasn’t the restraints fault. My family liked the food much more than I did, but they had great options regardless. We were served quickly and I enjoyed my experience.

Nice café with good vibes next to the river in Dominical. They have a lot of interesting things on the menu and the coffee is good. I had the chicken Panini sandwich and it did not have a lot of flavor. Hopefully other things are better on the menu.

big fan of this place. it quickly became our regular spot for lunch. strong coffee entries, a fun menu and most importantly super nice staff made this a daily delight. the location is hard to beat as well with a laid back patio overlooking the river. there's a lot to love about this place.

Solid breakfast spot with good coffee, juices and a bomb hot sauce. We stopped here twice for breakfast during our stay. The tumeric ginger juice was phenomenal and the coffee was equally delicious. The breakfast burrito was good, although a little heavy on potatoes. Their hot sauce though is really where it's at. A perfect mixture of spicy and flavor to go with whatever dish you ordered. The service was great from counter to table. Parking is a little tricky but we still figured it out. Plenty of seating too.

Came here on two separate occasions after yoga down the road at Danyasa. Lots of options for breakfast & lunch. Food was fresh & tasty. Wish I could eat here daily just so I could try everything on the menu. Highly reccommend!

Prices went up there this year (2023) same as many other food stablishments in the area.
Hopefully prices will come down one day to help us (the locals) be able to enjoy this great place like before the pandemic.

What a gorgeous little spot, right next to the river. The cafe itself is cozy and has a great view to the garden and river. The attendants were really friendly and there were some really great looking food in the display. We had vegan burritos which were absolutely amazing, I think the best yet. With a slightly crisp wrap and the sauces and combination of fillings were perfect. Prices were acceptable and coffee was great.

Such a brilliant cafe in Dominical. The food and drink is always tasty, always consistently good. Definitely the best coffee and croissant in town. They have very good selection of vegetarian and vegan breakfasts and lunches, fresh and colourful. Great service too and family friendly. Highly recommended!

Proper cup of coffee! I came here every morning of my trip and it never disappointed. So. Good. The hot americano with coconut milk is really comforting, rich, and strong. Friendly service and plenty of treat options, too!

So amazing to find a vegan friendly delicious and beautiful cafe in CR. Wish we were staying here longer so I could eat all my meals here.

The food is very good and the ingredients are fresh. The prices are great, about 3mil calones for my breakfast. I got a drink called, I think “banana wake up” it was a banana and espresso smoothie, out of this world. It was great. I got pancakes they were incredible. It’s set right next to the Baru river. It’s indoor/outdoor. Really cool, relaxed environment. 5 stars all the way around.

Spent over 2 weeks in Dominical with our family and I can't remember how many times we enjoyed Mono Congo. Best coffee! Highly recommend the Americano con leche. Food was also good. Vibe great. My favorite was their blackberry smoothie bowl. Hope they have the avocado smoothie bowl available the next time we are there. You can't go wrong here! I promise.
