Ricar2 Restaurant and Bar

We initially stopped by for the beer, but ended up staying for dinner. While the menu seemed tailored for tourists, the quality and taste of the food surpassed our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the service was both friendly and professional.

The food was amazing and the prices were good. I would definitely visit again. Except do not waste your money on the "Torta Chilena" since the price is ridiculous, 3600 colones for a piece of this tiny portion was not worth it, flavor is okay to say the least.

Phenomenal food and drinks. Top notch staff as well. Insanely beautiful view right in front of you while dining.

Definitely worth stopping by on the way back from the Nauyaca waterfalls! The service was great and had authentic Costa Rican food. Excellent cocktails and great vibes! Highly recommend.

A very good restaurant, apparently very popular among “Ticos”. Big size portions, tasty meals, perfect location on the road between San Isidro and Dominical. A beautiful view to the valley and Cordilleras mountains. My personal recommendation is “sopa de Mariscos”

The place looks like a gimmick with the airplane on the side of the road. But the food was just delicious! The service was great, got a little busy at the end of the visit. The server (can't remember his name, bald, small gauges in his ears) was so good, we would be back if it was only to chat with him - he did a great job recommending and explaining the food options. We got the ceviche (good), patacones (excellent), and casados (chicken and stewed beef - excellent). All cooked perfectly, great flavor. In fact, my wife asked for salt and pepper before we ate and halfway through the meal said no way would she add anything to an already perfectly made dish. Great job, Ricar2!

Food was very good and the view is amazing.

Great restaurant on an amazing spot along the interamericana highway. The view from the restaurant is awesome. The price is very good value for money. Really recommand this place.

Cheap delicious food. Spectacular view. Great service. Steak, pastas, lobster, burgers. American, Italian and French food.

If you are looking for superb food at reasonable prices with a fantastic view look no further! I had chicken in vodka sauce - I could have eaten a whole bowl that sauce! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sides were excellent! My wife got the shellfish with lobster and WOW! what a platter of food! The shellfish included several types of clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, a blue crab and other delicious morsels, the lobster was split and stuffed and all covered in a delicious garlic butter sauce.

Wonderful meal, service and view

Stopped for a quick lunch on our way down to the coast.  Beautiful view, plus the meal, drinks, and service were excellent.

The staff is very friendly! Short waiting times, and excellent food! We ordered 3 different meals and all of them were super delicious! Definetely recommend!!

Wife and I hit this place on March 23, 2021. Flat out awesome. BE WARNED - the serving sizes are massive. I got the Aztec soup - phenomenal, but it really is a complete meal unto itself. I also got the chicken and rice - much like a central american variant of your convention chinese chicken fried rice. Very good. Calamari was very good, but the squids are larger than in the States, so expect larger, chewier rings. Prices were very fair. Great value. Strong recommendation.

Stopped on a whim as the location looked pretty cool overlooking the mountains and valley below. Great food, atmosphere, and waitstaff. I highly recommend if you are traveling to Perez Zeladon.

Food was fabulous, staff were attentive. Staff very helpful answering questions regarding menu as well as about the area. Will definitely be back. 4 at our table. 1 had garlic shrimp, 1 had fish in french sauce with shrimp, 1 had vodka sauce ravioli and the 4th had filet and lobster. Everything perfecto!

Definitely loved this place, the location is great, great service from the waiter, he really knew the menu, and gave us recommendations, and the best part of course the food, simply delicious... Great Chef :)

Awesome food very popular with gringos. Do yourself a favor and get the fillet. Delicious and very well priced (get the mushroom sauce on the side the first time!) we really like the calamari abd jalepeno popper appetizers. They also have an amazing whole red snapper (pescado entero) that my kids can't get enough of!
