Hotel La Rosa de América

Great hotel, close to the airport and quiet. Rooms were very clean, with hot water showers (not that that’s a big deal in this climate), air conditioning, and a delicious home made breakfast with lots of fruit. And it has a nice pool and pool deck if it proper hot out.

We are a family of 3 with a baby. Found this hotel because our flight got in really late at night, 15 mins from the airport. Check in and check out was literally 1 second. Rooms were simple, but clean and had a/c. Beds were comfy and they put a baby crib for us, they even had a baby seat available in the dining room for the delicious breakfast that’s included. Great wifi. Sad we couldn’t stay longer. For the price, best deal I’ve seen in YEARS!

Lovely hotel pefect for the airport. Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the animal rescue centre and a short bus ride to Alajuela.

What an amazing Oasis within 15 minutes of the airport. We felt so lucky to end our vacation staying one night here so that we were close to the airport but still felt like we were in Costa Rica! Beautiful gardens, pool, full breakfast on the patio, and very clean and spacious rooms. Super friendly staff and service. Will definitely stay here again when we come to Costa Rica.

Cute little place, super clean and comfortable. Jessica at the front desk is exceptional. So friendly and helpful and her English is perfect. She really went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
There is a breakfast included which we didn’t know when booking so this was a welcome surprise. This hotel is well worth the price we paid $65 for the night and would happily stay again. A great option if you want to spend a first night close to the airport but outside of San Jose

Amazing hostel worth a visit, friendly staff.

We loved our stay here. It was in a very nice, safe neighborhood on the Alejuela side of San Jose. We had a family room which was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was great!

Fantastic little overnight stay! My wife and I stayed here for one night after flying into San Jose. Was an easy 10 minute drive from airport. Very cute little hotel. Rooms are small but adorable, with local art on the walls. Beds were firm but comfortable. Quiet. Hotel grounds are beautiful!! We wished we had a day or at least a few hours to sit around the inviting pool area. Great views of the surrounding hills. Breakfast was very good. My wife and I are vegetarian and had enough choices with the rice, beans, cheese, breads, and fresh fruits. Great coffee. Outdoor breakfast seating was also great! Highly recommend!

I start here my first night in CR every time. Then travel the next day to the southern Pacific. The place is always clean the staff are amazing and the fresh varied fruit juice and breakfast are wonderful. Highly recommend it

This is a great place to break up your travels while arriving or leaving San Jose, Costa Rica. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and beautiful. Our room was very clean, comfy and plenty of room for our family of 5. I believe we did have one of the larger rooms. There is an on site cafe/restaurant that serves great traditional food including complimentary breakfast every morning. The staff is accommodating and very friendly.

This place is amazing!! After a flight into San Jose, it was a delight to stay here. The landscaping is beautiful and the pool is devine. We stayed here both after flight into CR and prior to our flight out. It's just a short distance from the international and domestic airport, but feels like a bit of paradise. We loved it and will be back. They were wonderful at scheduling a shuttle to and from both the international and domestic airport terminals.

Very relaxing atmosphere, the grounds are beautiful with a lush tropical gardens. This is our second visit and we will probably come back in the future. All the staff working in here are super helpful and nice. Good Wifi, and TV. The free breakfast is great and the dinner at night is very good. But it's probably better to be outside enjoying the pool and watching the birds.
Very close to the SJO airport and malls. From here the car rental company drops out your car and go and explore this beautiful country.

Very nice off the beaten trail, 15 minutes from the SJO international Airport. Nice size pool and great food at the restaurant.

The ladies at desk were fabulous. Our 1st time in Costa Rica, unfamiliar with language and colonies. They explained money exchange more than once. They called ubers for us. Helped us explain to drivers where to go.
Breakfast buffet was ok. It was off season so restaurant was closed. They helped us order food from local restaurant for dinner.
Rooms are small.

Excellent staff. Catherine helped us find our way around the area and find our way to our next destination. Very safe and accommodating. Resort like atmosphere. Dinner was delicious as well. Me gusto!!

A cute quaint hotel that is focused on quality! Very clean, with beautiful lanscaped grounds and pool. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and I experienced the best Pina Colada EVER! My favorite was the hot banana bread topped with vanilla ice cream & chocolate

Beautiful place! Garden of Eden. Made the mistake of only staying one night. Preparing for this trip to Costa Rica was such a rush and hectic, that it would have been nice to stay two nights at least here.

Nice place to stay! Comfortable rooms, lovely pool, and beautiful landscaping. Great location for easy access to the airport.
