Hacienda La Central - Volcán Turrialba

Tell me if this isn't paradise? They accepted my dog without any objections, and you'll get some of the best views of the Turrialba volcano that you can find.

A beautiful place to visit. Bosque Quemado (Burnt Forest) is truly an off beat experience.
You need to make online reservations to visit here. I would have shared the URL, however It's recommended to contact on the number in case this review gets old and the process changes. The road is a bit bumpy, but almost any car can reach the place.

Cost : ₡6000 per person (as on February 2022)
Recommended :
•Comfortable walking shoes
•Many warm clothes (if visiting early morning or at night for camping) as the Temperature at night can fall to 0°C or even below at times. You may ask the ones who manage the place about the wood for bonfire.
•Sunscreen (Very very important, if you are staying in the sun or doing the hike)
•Something to munch on!
•Water or something to hydrate you.
•Camera to capture the beauty

Precautions : While doing the hike to Bosque Quemado, you will feel the ash in your throat as the skirts of the volcano are full of ash thrown out. You will also smell sulphur at time.
**This doesn't happen in the area of camping**

Also, in case you are into astronomy or like taking pictures of stars, this place will make you fall in love with it's dark sky with very very less light pollution towards west.
