Hotel Guayabo Lodge

Every room has excellent views. The gardens surrounding the lodge are magical and teaming with all types of birds. There's a nice hike down to a waterfall right out the door. We saw a sloth and kinkaju in the wild just meters into the hike.

If you want to disconnect from the World and sumerge into nature, this is the place for you. Beautiful gardens, birds and amazing views of Turrialba town and Turrialba volcano. Service and food are fantastic. All the good Coffee you can drink for free.
Activities around the area include Aquiares coffee tour, Guayabo National Monument and waterfalls La Muralla and Las Trillizas. Don't forget to visit Turrialba town.

Beautiful views and scenic overlooks.
Comfortable, cozy rooms. Fabulous breakfast included. Dinner available (served until 7:30 or 8). The menu is limited, but the food was very good. Small bar with some specialty drinks in the lobby of the main lodge. The morning we left was rainy and overcast, so we couldn't see the volcano, but the area was beautiful none-the-less. Perfect views of nature.

We regret spending just one night at this beautiful place! It's away from noisy and crowded city but not too far from other activities. The view of valley and mountains is magnificent. The lodge is essentially a garden - peaceful and beautiful! Plants, fruit trees, flowers, trails, are all professionally and exquisitely maintained. The dishes of dinner are average but breakfast is great. Sitting at the outdoor patio while sipping coffee and eating breakfast is a real treat! Will definitely return in the future.

A great little inn, very friendly staff, quick check in, very clean rooms. Very good food and drinks for a very reasonable price. Great free breakfast. Honestly it was perfect for our one night stay.

Gorgeous lodge in the Mountains of Costa Rica. Saw a variety of beautiful birds. The food is good and the grounds and buildings are well maintained. Stayed 3 nights, and did some fun activities in the area. Went on some nice hikes, visited a sugar cane plantation, visited Guayabo National Monument.

The staff were so lovely, the room very comfortable, the food delicious.
We arrived in the dark and awoke to beauty all around.
The drive from there to Tenorio National Park was amazing. We took the less traveled route, wound up steep mountain roads through quaint villages, and rose above the clouds to the most spectacular view I have EVER seen.

Amazing views from the rooms and beautiful gardens to walk around. Room was clean and staff was very friendly. The food in the restaurant was all extremely fresh and delicious! I also loved the coffee grown right there on site.

I spent three nights at this beautiful lodge with my family of five. We traveled to Costa Rica from the USA. Each of us was very impressed with the lovely accommodations, stunning surrounding gardens, spectacular views, and exceptional gourmet dinners. There are two vegans, one vegetarian, and two meat eaters in our family and the kitchen was able to provide mouth watering meals to suit each of us. The multi-lingual staff were able to arrange tours, and made great sight seeing suggestions. This region of Costa Rica must be explored. You will be able to see active volcanoes that are unique to this area. The temperature in this part of Costa Rica was ideal. The air is fresh and cool in the evenings and warm but not too humid during the day. We will definitely be returning to Guayabo Lodge!

Spectacular views that no picture will ever do justice. The staff were great and served some of the best meals we had while in Costa Rica. Then there is the coffee. The BEST coffee in Costa Rica is made by Guayabo Lodge on their estate just a few miles away. We toured three coffee plantations during our stay and all were good, but Guayabo's Black Honey is the winner.

I really appreciated the true Ecological Friendliness of the lodge. Some places call themselves an Eco Lodge, but just put in low flow faucets and a solar panel or two. Guayabo is truly full eco friendly. This does mean that there isn't air conditioning or fans, but the climate doesn't really require them. I will say, I would prefer a mesh screen on the windows so I could open up the window for fresh air and forest sounds, without inviting every six legged critter in the country to share my room. I will definitely be staying at Guayabo Lodge again on my next visit to Costa Rica. It is the most relaxing place I've been.

The food was amazing, not to mention the warm hospitality demonstrated through the staff. Caesar was always on top of clearing the tables, and making sure everything was perfect. The cleaning service was quick and very thorough. I extremely recommend this lodge if you want somewhere to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Costa Rica, and for all of your needs to be taken care of.

Lovely place to visit. The view is amazing and the staff are friendly and knows how to speak little English. The rooms are always clean with a little sense of feeling at home. Guayabo is definitely a home away from home. I certainly will give this place 5 ⭐ without hesitation. Wish to be back someday

The room are very comfortable and clean, everything work perfectly well. Hot water warm with a very good pressure , tv satellite, coffee maker, refrigerator, great terrace amazing view. All details make this lodge great. The restaurant have a nice menu we are well. I will defenetly come back.

We loved our stay at guayabo lodge. Beautiful building, amazing garden filled with life, great bed. We actually ended up getting stranded there because of car troubles, I couldn't think of a better place to be stranded. We felt so welcomed by all the staff during our stay. Easily the best place to stay in the area.

Absolutely wonderful location and facility. The views over the valley, of the neighboring farm lands and up to the valley. The facilities are very comfortable, the food very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. A definite place to return to.

This beautiful cozy hotel located at the center of Santa Cruz de Turrialba, has a unique charm. Owners Pedro and Roxana are always available to give the best service and care. All personnel,from around the area , give the hotel a sense of community. Dinner has a gourmet touch. Roxana looks for the best ingredients and uses products from the area that enhance the good cuisine. Rooms with great views and amenities. Hope to come back soon!
