I Love Travel Costa Rica

Our driver Fransisco (Franky) was amazing! What a great guy, super accommodating. Genuinely enjoyed our drive and time hanging with a local. 100% recommend this travel service. I liked how they confirmed the day before, nice touch 👍

My husband and I used ILT for our honeymoon. We flew into San Jose and then used ILT to get us to Liberia. After an extremely long day of traveling, Miguel was waiting at the airport for us. He was extremely kind and shared many great things about Costa Rica. He made the very long trip easy and comfortable. He even stopped for us to use the bathroom and grab a bit to eat; the best empanadas I must say! If you need a ride, we HIGHLY recommend ILT but specifically Miguel, he was amazing!

We chose this company because it was number one rated in Costa Rica. And we are so glad we booked with ILT Costa Rica! (I Love Travel). We booked within a week of our travel dates, with no problems! We had four different trips with ILT: SJO to Montaña de Fuego outside of La Fortuna with driver David; from Montaña de Fuego to Margaritaville on Playa Flamingo with Robert; from Margaritaville to Parque del Lago in San Jose with Miguel; and from Parque del Lago to SJO airport with Hever. Each driver was personable, offered many breaks for coffee, bathroom, meals, and viewpoints, and chatted with my family as much as possible and wanted. Each driver was on time (if not early) and super professional. We were impressed with the company and individual drivers. And would DEFINITELY WOULD BOOK AGAIN.

ILT was excellent. We used them for several destinations in Costa Rica. Nice roomy van. There were 5 of us in our group. Great price and the drivers were great. Francisco (Fran) and Francisco (Frankie) were so warm and friendly. They made the drives so enjoyable. Stopped at some great places to get snacks, empanadas, use the restroom. I wouldn’t use anyone else when we return. Had a lot of laughs and learned so much about the country from Fran and Frankie. Thanks again guys. They were also so prompt. Excellent service!

ILT Costa Rica is what made our vacation perfect! We used them for our airport transportation and for four day trips. They were the best!

Our driver cheerfully met us at the airport and took us to our Jaco Beach condo, but first to lunch at a local restaurant with an amazing view and then to Crocodile Bridge.

Three day trips were from ILT Costa Rica's listings and were perfect! the Waterfall Encounter, Isla Tortuga, and Carara National Park. The drivers were wonderful and the naturalists were knowledgeable, engaging and so proud of the beauty of nature. Our fourth trip was one ILT Costa Rica did not have listed but put together for us when we asked. It was from Jaco to Rainmaker Park. They set us up with a great driver and the most knowledgeable, warm and friendly naturalist who spent the day with us.

Our driver back to the airport told us stories and stopped to show us a scarlet macaw nest.

The most professional transportation and tour organization I have used. I highly recommend!

March 2023 update:
Having had four excellent private shuttle experiences with ILT Costa Rica during our first Costa Rica visit, during April 2018, my wife and I were thankful that we were able to book transportation for our second visit, last month. We were again delighted: All three of our drivers were friendly and helpful; each of them called to our attention during our ride sights that might interest us. Pick-ups were punctual and trip duration estimates were accurate. Each van in which we rode was clean and comfortable.
I am grateful especially to Liz Ugalde, a member of the Reservations Department team, who arranged for me on short notice transport for an unanticipated need during our trip. Her skillful efforts and excellent communication helped me to resolve a distressing problem that arose.
My wife and I are planning already, for next year, another Costa Rica visit, and we hope that we will be fortunate again to travel between locations via ILT Costa Rica.

Six months ago today my wife and I arrived in Costa Rica for our first visit. Among our choices, as we planned our trip, one of the best was traveling between our destinations (San Jose, La Fortuna, Monteverde, and Samara) by means of ILT Costa Rica private transfer vans. Each of the vehicles was clean and comfortable; each of our drivers - Marco (twice), Alba, and Francisco - was outstanding: punctual, safe, professional, accommodating, and friendly. They kindly provided helpful and interesting information to us, as they navigated smoothly routes and conditions that would have been beyond our capabilities as drivers. We were grateful to George, as well, who handled skillfully and kindly our pre-arrival reservations, as well as schedule changes that we requested during our visit. ‘Gracias!’ to all of you. We would travel with ILT Costa Rica again without hesitation and we recommend their service to other travelers enthusiastically.

Jose was so great! He was early for pickup and very helpful. He told us so much about the local area. It was a shuttle from a hotel to a hotel but it seemed like a tour. There were water and drinks in the car for us. He stopped for photos and this beautiful place

ILT was amazing! They were standing outside the airport with our name on a sign when we arrived. Our driver, Warner, was so friendly and he had so much information about Costa Rica along the 2 hour car ride. We also stopped to get a drink and to see some crocodiles! I would definitely recommend this company!

ILT picked us up at the airport. The driver was just outside with a sign. He was easy to find, spoke English, friendly, and brought us to our destination.

On returning, the driver was waiting for us in the lobby. Super fun to talk with during an easy drive back to the airport.

ILT helped us us start our trip on our good foot. I will hire them again

We had a marvelous experience with I Love Travel. We have some special needs and sometimes make requests around those. Not only did our drivers hear and tend to those needs, we were made to feel that they did so gladly. We are grateful!

On our trip, we used another shuttle company and will never consider them again. I Love Travel has new loyal customers, and we cannot recommend them enough!

My husband and I used ILT to travel to two destinations and back to the airport. Our drivers Jesus, Al and Jose were amazing, very friendly and very professional. The drivers were always on time. We stopped for lunch at places they recommended, and the food was delicious. The vans were very spacious, clean and very comfortable. If/when we go back to Costa Rica, we will definitely use ILT again.

I found this private transportation on Google and decided to give them a chance since it’s my first time to Costa Rica and I never been before so I didn’t feel comfortable renting a car and driving in a country I don’t know my way around! The driver had my name with a sign waiting for me outside of the airport and was greeted with a water bottle and I like how we get wifi on the 3 hour drive from San Jose to Manuel Antonio where my hotel is at! We also got to stop at the crocodile bridge to have lunch and see the crocs. On the way back to the airport we got to stop to get souvenirs and use the bathroom. Also Katherine who I was emailing with back and forth was helpful and she was fast in replying back in emails to me with any questions or concerns I had!

So happy with the service! We went to different locations and drives that were over 6 -7hours. They arranged everything perfectly, the drivers were professional, informative, punctual. Anything I needed along the way and for confirmations the communication by email was also really easy.
I highly recommend for a safe, hassle free transport to book with them.

My first impression of Costa Rica came from our ride with this company. The driver, Osvaldo was very patient, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and that we had the best possible experience. Along the rocky road up to Monteverde (from Liberia), he stopped the car for a moment and let us admire the stars from our windows. When nearing our destination (which we had trouble locating), he immediately got out to ask the neighbors for directions and made sure we arrived safely. We were so well taken care of, we could not be more lucky!

We made several other trips with different companies across the country, but none could compare with this one.

My 19yo daughter was traveling alone, so we wanted her to use private transport. ILT was clear and communicative ahead of time, sending us the info we needed and answering our questions.

Once in Costa Rica, my daughter said each segment of her trip was 100% reliable. The driver arrived arrived early, no problems and everything they promised came to be: clean, safe vehicles with a/c and seat belts; wifi; drinks; and stops as needed.

We used ILT Costa Rica for three transfers - from the airport to the cloud forest in San Gerardo de Dota (Alex), from San Gerardo de Dota to Manuel Antonio (Juan), and from Manuel Antonio back to the airport (Eric). We were so glad we found this service for our travel needs. Driving in Costa Rica requires a lot of patience as there are many trucks on the road with limited passing options, as well as unpredictable lane closures due to construction. All our drivers were extremely professional, punctual and courteous and we were very glad to leave the driving to them. Communication with the office was also excellent, with quick responses to our e-mails and an immediate adjustment to our schedule when asked due to flight schedule changes. We highly recommend this company.

My husband and I had a great drive with Warner from San Jose to La Fortuna! He was timely, professional, friendly, and personable. We really liked how safely and smoothly he drove. He also went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a good trip. He shared a lot of interesting information with us as we passed different areas of Costa Rica! Fantastic service!! We traveled with ILT for several transfers while in Costa Rica.
The vehicles are well maintained and very clean! All drivers speak English.
Our one guide AL was exceptionally knowledgeable about the area and shared much about the culture and landscape - we learned so much!

This service is easy and professional! I booked online, they followed up with a confirmation email - and magic - we took my family of 6 on a shuttle transfer thru Costa Rica.

Pro tip, we ordered car seats for kids and a 6 pack of beer during the add ons. Both came out perfect. Free cold water included.

We took two private shuttles and they were both wonderful! I would definitely use this company again!
